I'd totally trade weather for a bit! It's "feels like" close to or over 100F daily here with like 100% humidity. Thank God my backyard is shaded, but any outside work I do with clients is now scheduled for 8:30am and 7pm just to try and beat the heat a bit. I LOVE rain and (as Winnie the Pooh puts it) blustery weather. I always say if I could live anywhere a temperate rainforest like the Pacific Northwest region of the US and Canada would be ideal!

I am so sorry this person is terrorizing you. It's unbelievable to me how slow the hand of law can be sometimes (I'm in the US but it certainly sounds like this issue isn't being delt with quickly). Is there a way to get an order of protection against this person? Something that makes it against the law for them to come within x distance of you or your home or place of work?

It was very fun to start, but partway through the series I felt they undid some beautiful character development and began to make things unnecessarily convoluted and I stopped enjoying it so I bailed. Colin O'Donoghue plays Hook and does a fantastic job. I'd read fanfics about him any day LOL.

Deal! Now if only we can get the weather to agree to our plan xD The only downside of our storms is that two of my pups are not fans of thunder. But we have a tried and true method for helping them feel relaxed, which means I can revel in the dark clouds and loud rolling thunder and heavy rain. Even though I swear they don't last as long as they used to! We used to have whole afternoons of storms and now they seem to come and go quickly which is kinda a bummer.

- so use the time you usually set aside for personal hygene. No one will care how stinky you are once the book premiers! :P 😂

- I watched the whole series right down to it's Hispanic Cinderella ending. Nope, won't tell you any more of a spoiler if you ever want to finish it. That Hook was perfect. Had the moves, the body, and the accent. I could watch him all day long. ;)

I am ok and safe. Still having flashbacks and scared. I went and get some help for this, but they say it takes time. And my daily routine will help me get trough it. We don't have an order of protection but i can file that he needs to stay away from me withing so much space. But i want to talk about that when i file my police report. And darn!! I have to wait until august 5... can't do it earlier as they don;t have the time/staff/space.. sheehs! Then it's almost a month further, driving me nuts it has to take so long.

No word yet of my landlord/local police officer... i did send them an email asking why everything is taking so long and i am fed up with it all. It's him or me and if i move he wins,...

On the other side it's been a nice few days here, sunny but hot but i am glad we finally have a few days of nice weather. But as the weather here is silly rain will come back sunday.. sheesh..

I'm sorry it will take so long to be able to get things taken care of. Hopefully you will have a response soon! Nice to hear some nice weather has made it to you!

It's still pretty humid and hot here, but we had a nice big storm yesterday that brought a big temperature and pressure drop for an hour or so! It felt so nice. I'm going to have to start working a bit harder to keep all the pups entertained, it's hot enough outside that even they aren't interested in spending as much time out there!

Sundance was such an enormous part of my life. He loved me with all he had, and I loved him just as much. He always walked to the door with me when I left and was waiting at the same place when I came home. He was there through most of my kids growing up. He was there during a devastating divorce and saved my life twice. It's been 17 years and I still cry when I think of him. I miss him so bad. I had a number of Bombays, one of whom was Serena. They were all beautiful, interesting, and really smart. But she was the most special among them. This particular pic was not actually of her but looked exactly like her. I didn't have a really good one so I used it. It just conveyed her spirit and heart so well. Halloween was Sundance's sister. We actually got him first then went back and got her. She was a lovely cat inside and out. But she will always live in infamy for coming up silently and fast behind Rox on the couch and swiping all the toppings on the piece of pizza, leaving only the crust and some sauce, that Rox was holding up and running Hell bent for leather. lol! I miss all my fur babies that we've lost through the years, but these the most.

Hope something happens soon! It's ridiculous.

Hi everyone. Well I managed to really hurt myself Monday evening and its going to take a month or more to get over it. Some idiot did not read my instructions and delivered three of my packages to the back of my house to the entrance to my catio. I clearly have a patio with a table right off the driveway and just past is steps up to my porch and front door. They often at least deliver to the patio table, tho the instructions are to the table by the door. There is a small storage building between the patio and the porch and it hides packages from anyone just casually looking from the street, so its usually safer.

Anyway, the catio has a screen/chicken wire door that swings out. I went through instead of around the house because the pkgs were going to be really heavy and I didnt think I could haul them all the way around either side of the house. I was afraid of falling in the uneven ground too. Outside the catio my son and I built steps of concrete blocks with concrete pavers in between and top and bottom. Looks very nice and basically indestructible. The wooden steps that had been there before just disintegrated and sunk in the sandy dirt. No hand rails. I think we used that door maybe five times in the last ten years? Maybe less. Long winded, sorry. Well, the top of the steps is not very wide. I had to push the door against the pkgs and move them somewhat out of the way before I could even get through the door. They were so damn heavy! I barely got the first two inside the catio, and the third was just too much for me. But now it was inside the open door but not in the catio so I couldn't just leave it and get help because I couldn't close the door. The cats would get out that are not outdoor cats. Well, I shoved one more time and the box didn't move an inch but I fell backwards, hitting my tailbone on the edge of one of the pavers and my right hip on one of the railroad ties I used to edge my flower beds. OMG it hurt so bad and now I was wedged between them.

Bushes are all around there for privacy, and they really did their job. I screamed and yelled for help for a long time amidst the blubbering and crying but no one heard. I finally got the damned 12' 4"x4" embedded railroad tie to roll over one side. That gave me a few inches to move some. Luckily it was sandy dirt between the bottom pavers and the tie, so much softer than the concrete. I can't hardly even rest my knees on the ground, much less push off and get up. But it was what I had to do, while pulling on a small but very strong and flexible tree. So glad it was in reach.

I called my son and he told me I should have just called him to get the stuff in. I said next time I would because I am never even considering trying that again! Anyway, I really thought I had rebroken my tailbone because it hurt so freaking bad. Went to the ER and they were worried about the whole spine not just the end. They did CT scans of my head all the way down. No breaks - I was really shocked - but bad bruising and most doesn't even show, although it is certainly felt! And of course it exacerbated all the problems I already have. The doctor said be very careful and it was going to take time. Probably a month before I get over it. Ugh.

it's insane it's taking so long.

And get a protection order yet.. need to file the police report first. And why i can't do that online... baffles me. If i do it online it's there and when they have questions they can call me.

My landlord is talking to his laywer next week.

it baffles me that i can file a police report online when something is broken or you see a little crime. But for this you can't and have to be in person... and the long wait is nuts. I to am hoping for a fast result and him moving out.. He is been busy for 7 years and the last 2 he has it in it for me. Why does it have to take so long??

I do write non-steamy things. Just every now and again I get in the mood and write something.

Edit: My Kafka's Men series has steamy parts but overall it is mostly plot driven.
