I got frustrated by all the broken things on neo, and how slow their team was to get even simple things fixed.

Yes! I get on Neo to zap but then I get bored. Also the ads are just out of control xD I can barely click around! I play this and Grundo's Cafe and between the two, I am a happy little bumblebee.

I play Neo more simply because, uh. I am addicted to the pet dress-up game. Don't mind me, just slapping wigs on my pets like, "Yes. Beautiful. Amazing. Love." But like. Yeah, Subeta's still got way better QoL stuff going on for it. (And the other site I played is, uh, exploding. So.) Also, community. The forums on Subeta have always been better. Neo's is... limiting and nowhere near as many people engage with them. But I guess that's the result of a platform that kinda...heavily focused on their games back in the day rather than the social aspect of the site?

Truly I just can't find NP items that work for my Neopets to wear! My pets are a little dressed up, but their outfits never change. I will buy something and not realize it doesn't work or show up! Like on my main pet's lookup their background is black, and in quick ref it's blue. Just nutso lol

I only play Neopets nowadays because I already put decades of effort into it, but I hate it more and more as the days go by. It's pretty much becoming pay-to-win, you can literally buy a item code and redeem it on site for items that you can sell for nearly 1b NPs.

You said it, friend. I feel the same way. When you can afford $70 for a Monopoly game (not me!) you get Neo wealth along with it.

This a million times. btw, have you tried to navigate it wihout and adblocker? I've gotten five ads per page, in every-single-pageload, one of those and autoplayvideo... with sound, that of course it above the clikable web stuff, (items, menues...)

It has been a while since I posted here, (I can't find my message anymore?) but it has gotten... WORSE somehow? there are little impromevents touches here and there like updating the NPs you win by BD or scratchcards or finally being able to cancel an academy course... but those can't leverage enough. NC styles with the UCs coming back was (is) great but they keep adding, and adding, and adding and people HAS NO MORE PETS SPACES TO PUT THOSE ON???

I keep login to do my dailies because... Neo has this thing about making dailies and streaks of everything (bank interest? daily, trudy? daily with an streak, quest log? daily + streak as well...) I can't go and, play more one day and nothing the next... IF I don't want all those to restart. Anymode, the items I want to buy are selling at a billion, with B or literally non existent, I'm never going to save that much xD... but maybe I just like to FINALLY have neopoints to spend.

I am so curious to see the rest of the plot! You'll have to keep us filled in in case I can't make myself check in for it xD I have 30 mil in the bank, not much in neo terms nowadays, but also no goals, so it just sits there.

I agree, it's so weird how a lot of Neo is still broken. Like... it's a big company that's been around for a long time. Why haven't they fixed more stuff yet?

And part of that brokenness includes the majority of the games... which are the main way to get neopoints. Honestly, the games are why I kept coming back to the site as a kid- So it kinda sucks to see all my favorites unusable now, and probably not gonna be fixed for the next few forseeable years, if at all.

Meanwhile, over here, I agree with another earlier comment, you never run out of stuff to do here. Quests give you SO much money, and the community just feels really nice?

Also I kinda can't even play Neo anymore because it makes my computer crash. After some changes they made to neo, I noticed my computer start running hotter when I played, then it started crashing when I played for too long.

Agreed on all fronts! Folks will say "you can just install this, or install that, or download a toolbar, or visit this fan site" and it's like...I shouldn't have to! The game should just work!

Yeahh, the site not working properly is the main issue. It's been a few years since they started their whole revamp, and the site is still half new and half old. People are actually using add-ons just to get it to work right?? The fact that the users of a site need to add something extra themselves to make it work is a huge red flag.

It sounds like it really has gotten worse... At least I didn't have the invisible ad problem. But yeah, I hate when an ad suddenly loads, shoves everything else halfway down the screen, and makes you click the ad instead. I've had that happen more on mobile sites than pc, but it's still annoying.

Tbh now that I think about it... a lot of old flash games have just been updating to HTML5. Why doesn't Neo just do that? The fact that it's taking so long makes me think they aren't...

I haven't gone back to Neo. But I have heard a lot of people on other social media platforms complaining about how buggy the site is, and I always recommend Subeta to them instead. I should have given them my referral code. Dang! haha.

I went back to Neo a couple months ago, feeling nostalgia for the games mostly (destruct-o-match mostly lol)but found the site way to clunky and slow to even try and do anything else there. I gave up after a couple days and then went back to Subeta, which i am wishing i just did from the beginning, lol

I have been playing Neopets on and off since 2000 & I can see that the new team is working very hard. I know it's not perfect, like the neocash grabs & not the best real life merchandise decisions. But the team fixed the site as best they could & this is the most responsive team I've experienced.

Neopets is like Pokemon, it makes my inner elementary child happy. Subeta is like Yugioh, makes my inner highschooler happy. both are good ❤️

BUT the training schools in Neopets do feel like pulling teeth ever since I started playing Subeta 😂 So happy Void Plot is back, I want to finish this thing & get back to normal, not gray, Neopia.

Yes, my account is from 2000! To each their own, for sure! I highly disagree that they fixed the site as best they could.

Like I've been asking them to fix the text on the pound transfer page for a good long while now so returning players know how the site works. It currently says:

Complete Rules You may User-to-User Transfer one Neopet per month.

It's false, and it has been reported to ambassador teams, social media, and through tickets and such, and they can't find anyone to pop over to that page to change the wording. It is just a text edit. It's a prime example of what I mean. I'm seeing folks returning to the site that don't realize they can transfer more than one pet a month, so they're doing "pound transfers" and losing their pets. It would be so easy (from what I know about website management) to take out a line of text, but maybe I'm wrong.

Thank goodness we have Subeta and Grundo's Cafe! There's something for everyone!

I just logged into my 22 year old Neopets account for the first time in who knows how long, and it really is just as clunky and hostile as I remembered. :') no thanks

I started neopets again about 2 weeks ago, didnt like it and decided to try subeta again, way better, dont understand what i ever saw in neopets

i joined here soon after trying to get back into neopets since i was really into it as a kid but wow the neopets site just felt clunky and the games weren't as good as i remembered them being. my sis also tried getting back into webkinz recently and she said the same thing about webkinz basically (not as good as she remembered and felt busted to use). this site has been fun so far though and i really like the pets!
