The mandatory password reset is exactly how I got locked out of my main. I hadn't tried submitting a ticket because I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get my account back, or if I'd just get brushed off. Guess I know it would have been the latter if I bothered trying; yikes.

You should still try if you want it back. My experience may not be everyone's experience. But I understand your hesitation. I have tried for 2 months shy of a year to get mine back, with lots of tickets submitted.

I personally had no issues with their customer service and my account was left for like 5+ years. The only problem is there might be a delay in getting help because theyre stretched thin.

Im sorry you had such a hard time with them. I cant imagine why theyre giving you such a hard time getting your accounts back.

It's because my account was old, with great pet names and items. I was told it was tagged as a "sensitive account" and so they wouldn't just hand it back without me proving my life's story. I even had to give them bank records for years ago (the last time I spent NC on that account), which they couldn't confirm due to them not having the records themselves to match against.

They have been having massive issues with bots and hackers, and people selling things on the Neo Black Market. So they are trying to mitigate that.

By punishing their players that have been playing for 20+ years, apparently.

Yikes! I really hope you manage to get that account back. I suppose my meager owning of a baby pet at the time didn't have me flagged as anything. I'm also unsure if I was the one that purged the account when leaving or if anything was taken because it was much too long for me to remember. But I mean I'm neo rich now anyway (not my subeta level richness though lol). If you ever manage to get it back HMU, my username is the same just no caps. I'm personally trying to feel optimistic towards neo as they've had a rough time and are trying to do a lot of updating and course correction with the site. I really hope they can bring things around finally. Best wishes for your old account being opened up again.

The ticket thing is TERRIBLE. I did manage to get a frozen side account back that got overtaken (and swore on the boards, I guess) and they gave it back to me permasilenced. So many of my friends got "too bad, so sad!" from the ticket. It's aggravating!

I definitely spend more time here. Everything, you're right, is broken on Neo! I mean, a few things here can use some tweaking, but the thing is, the staff eventually tweaks the thing!

For example, there are unlimited transfers from account to account and it has been that way for, what, 2 years? The transfer page STILL has a huge warning about one transfer per month. A person read that recently and posted in a group I'm in that they had a failed pound transfer because they had no idea the message on the page about limited transfers was outdated. The message is literally titled "Complete rules". It's a shame and all TNT needs to do is remove ONE PARAGRAPH from the page! No one can manage it, though. Wild!

Yeah, it's kinda shameful. They haven't updated the actual text content on the site since 1999 in some places. They could do better so easily, I feel like.

Yes, that's my frustration! Many people are calling for, like, Keyquest to be reinstated...that sounds HARD and I understand why they can't do it. But deleting a paragraph can't be that hard!!

I really believe they could have coded an entire new site and migrated the user info to it BY HAND by now. Hahaha.

Same. I mean, I'm sat here now with both a Neo tab and Subeta tab open, but the big difference for me is the forums. There's more people online at any given time to chat with on Neo and that's nice. Admittedly, though, I'm just refreshing the pound chat.

That's true for sure. I never frequent the Neo forums, though. In the back of my conspiracy-theorist mind, I'll get hacked or frozen if I draw attention to myself on Neo.

That's SO LEGIT though! People have gotten frozen for the most innocuous things, it seems like flying under the radar is the only way to go.

What keeps me on-site is my pet Bic. I zap him every day and it is exciting for me xD I have color/species change lab logs going back 12 years.

Frankly, I don't think it's worth trying to get it back since I just don't see a reason to come back to Neopets even if I had access to my main. If I do try to go back to Neopets again, I'll switch over to one of my sides because for whatever reason I can access all my sides just fine.

I love my battle pet here! Training is just so much nicer on Subeta. Eo codestones on Neo are like 45k compared to the other codestones between 5-10k. It's making training miserable! It sometimes costs over 100k np for one stat point.

Oh lord, I had forgotten about the codestone system. At a certain point I just gave up on the battledome entirely because training was always such a headache. I love being able to just pay a simple point fee for training on Subeta.

That's exactly why I stopped training my main BD pet. It's just too expensive.
