Just logging in here, the Great Garnet War Hammer doesn't have stats listed in the Weapon Information section! Not sure if that's just an inventory glitch or if stats got borked on it. :o

That's because it has a rotating attack. Weapons that don't have any stats on the hover often have custom coding.

Attack 1: :dmg🔥30 Attack 2: :dmg:magma:20-27 :heal:40 HP Attack 3: :dmg🔥1 :block:earth:35 :heal:85 HP

It rotates randomly between each three during battle.

Hello everyone, I wasn't sure whether to post here or in the glitches thread: I know Swashbuckle has 10% healing capped at 600HP. When I use mine in battle it appears to heal 10% HP but underneath the little healing icon (white ball with a red cross) is simply the number 10, no percentage or anything, when really it's healing 200 HP. Just a minor glitch but a little unnerving. Does anyone else have this problem?

Edit: It's happening with other weapons, too. Like with Spectre.

Unlike scrolls, weapons don’t have the % sign when they heal a percentage of your health. When Swashbuckle says :heal:10, it is healing 10%, and will show :heal:10 until you hit the cap. It can be a bit confusing without the percentage sign and I don’t know if it can ever be changed, but it’s not something to worry about. As long as it is showing that your health is going up by 200 HP (10% of your pet’s 2,001 HP) then you know it’s working correctly.

Hello! :D I was just asking because I have a malignant rift staff which shows the actual amount healed. Like this: :heal:125 Just thought it was weird that there's an inconsistency. I only noticed because I was so excited to have the new Swashbuckle and immediately went to go test it out!

Sometimes it trips me up too! Generally speaking, for higher tiered weapons, lower numbers are usually percentages and higher numbers are usually fixed healing rates. As you get back into battling, you’ll get a better feel for it and memorize what the weapons are doing :P

As far as I know though, nothing should be broken right now. I tested almost everything that was revamped and let know if anything wasn’t working properly.

Right!! I figured malignant rift staff wasn't healing 125% HP, as great as that would be :P On top of what we've already mentioned I discovered that the emerging rifts scroll DOES include the percentage sign :heal: 7% Thankfully the "total healing" part always gives the correct amount. So I can just rely on that. lol

Yeah, I don’t know why the scrolls have the percentage sign included, but weapons don’t. One of life’s many mysteries I guess :P

Well there is something broken in the BC, the ongoing modification crystal randomly not working bug. That has nothing to do with the stated number heal vs percent heal being confusing, because the heal mechanic is working properly as Jess stated, it's just weird looking. Bringing it up in case someone else reads Jess's earlier comment about nothing broken and thinks the mods have been fixed.

It would be great if the mod bug could be fixed by the way. Lost some expensive mods the other day using the not great workaround of removing the weapon from armory and then re-modding from scratch once back in the armory.

I was referring to things that changed during the revamp in this thread; the mod crystal issue predates it. I don’t think he can do anything about it since it’s a programming issue and not in his wheelhouse. I made another appeal for it to be fixed when he was editing the mod crystals, but it’s been mentioned before that the battle code is old and convoluted so I’m not sure if there’s anything can really do without doing a huge overhaul.

The only workaround I’ve found is changing all of your mod slots to new and different crystals than were there before. It involves a bit more planning ahead, but I haven’t had any more issues since I’ve been doing that. I’ve also been sticking to the cheaper crystals just in case. It’s not as fun, but far less frustrating. We just have to make do because it’s been 2.5 years since I first noticed the issue and there’s still no fix in sight.

Well aware of the history of the mod problem and on going issues. I know a fix isn't likely but I occasionally like to poke the issue in case something changes or it can be a planned fix as part of the complete overhaul of the site code that's being worked on.

The fact that part of the weapon revamp was to make defense more useful and then we can't use expensive mods to increase defense on weapons because of the mod glitch is annoying. Not rage quitting inducing or anything else dramatic but certainly annoying.

On the bright side, with the revamp I need to use defensive mods less because of the boosted weapon defenses and blessings :P But I’m operating on the belief that it’s never going to be fixed and trying to find a way to live with it at this point. Like you said, it’s not a dealbreaker anymore, but it’s annoying when we can remember what life is like before it started happening.

Before I figured out that I could get my mods to work again though, I was contemplating rage quitting. Being frozen to death because your mods aren’t working like they’re supposed to can make battling virtually impossible. It’s frustrating when you’re doing everything right and things are still out of your control. Definitely made me feel like crying a few times because it sucked all of the fun out of things.

Have you read some of the things keith has said he wants to do with battling and homestead...

maybe don't poke that bear lol.

(they sounded like replacing the BD with something that does not really resemble the BD that we have now at all.)

That sounds like a horrible wonderful idea after Purge just did all of that work, LOL.

Haven't read but that fits. He said before if he had do it over again BC would be very different. Given that the bit I played with homesteading did nothing for me, it's probably better for me to stay ignorant and enjoy what we have until it's gone. Especially since god only knows if/when new Subeta will actually go live.

I was cleaning up my armory and noticed that there's basically just one infinite use t4 healer: The alternatives are either carry-overs from t3 or functionally inaccessible for a new user that probably doesn't have millions (much less tens of millions) lying around for a single weapon.

Separately, t6 feels pretty barren, especially after t5 which has somewhere around double the weapons.

Any chance there are plans to address these? If not, could the legendaries be made to scale for t5 and t6? It would work really well with the fact that they can be combined for t7 then combo'd with sentinel for t8. It would give a nice progression path that makes a 40m+ purchase at t5 much more worthwhile. Doubly so for Eternal if subetalodge is accurate about it scaling from t1-t5.

And as for t4 healers, i imagine that's easy enough to address with the next few medium cash shop challengers, right?
