They bugged out and asked mine to go to their house. Mine did, but didn't care much for the game, in fact they didn't put on the game until after the second quarter.

Mine not inviting people over anymore, it's always the same bloody excuses. Mine free time is better invested in other matters.

Mine no longer concerned with why. Thay showed over and again that mine time is not valued. When they ask for help with their cars, they call.

Mine try giving the benefit of a doubt, but past experiences show a pattern. JAG at least has the more legitimate reason, he works demanding hours.

But in the end, the excuse was weather related, the friend's mother thought mine house was going to be too cold. In mine defense, mine house is cold but the plan was to have the wood stove on for the dining room. Mine didn't feel unreasonable in that sense.

One too many. Being mineself didn't work, nor does trying to be like them. Humans are irrevocably stupid that way...

Yesterday at work I was asked by staff supervisors if I could have any staff related activity, what would it be, and before my brain put the brakes on, I said: let's go to the pub! hello MOUTH? It's BRAIN here. You did NOT have a green light for that comment.

People have gotten out of condition regarding interacting with each other; "Smart"-phones compounded with corona, plus a lot of fake everything. I recommend the book City by Clifford D. Simak. It explained some mighty (then: futuristic) concepts which feel like they are happening today. It was written in the 50s!

Night life got very quiet the first month or so, and a lot of things closed down without sufficient work-force, but things are struggling back to normalcy despite the horrendous reality.

I think I go for the friendship and hope to avoid disappointment. I recently got canceled by someone. I hurt. That's okay though. I would rather interact and lose a few than not be me anymore. I guess the adage my mom used to say holds true (for me): Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all".

An mine thought making no commitment were better than failing to fulfill one.

Zo to repair the exhaust manifold is to have it removed from the engine. That mine did, but the timing is not favorable, this will have to wait for tomorrow. An afternoon should be enough to wrench it back in studs n al.

Mine father also asked mine to assist him by removing the grill and radiator from his Jeep in anticipation of an engine removal. So it seems for a few days we have one working vehicle.
