- after Charlie I was determined. It took us 2 years to get everything situated so we could move. It was 2 of the most harrowing years of my life I was so afraid of the hurricanes. lmao The grass isn't always greener, you know. We moved to Minnesota and that winter was a snowy one. I don't know what's worse, hurricanes or black ice. ;)

- it's a computer tech conspiracy, I swear. 😂 I'm glad you're all squared away. I bet it was awesome to see your residents again. :D

I may have to look back through the postcrossing website and start doing that again.

Hurricanes don't really scare me, though they did when I was younger, but I can understand needing to leave after Charlie.

Uh, I'm not that familar with black ice....

and black ice is awful. It is smooth and clear or black on pavement so it looks perfectly safe then wham your spinning your car out or flat on your black with a headache from walking to get your mail. It is a tricky demon.

Went to my neurologist. A new one as my old one retired. Going back on Botox injections, thank god, as they actually seem to work and my monthly injection stopped working. Just need to wait a month for insurance approval.

OMG I hate ice, esp black ice! That is horrible. You can't see it until you've already fallen. Many years ago it had snowed the day before (I love snow because we don't get it very often.) and there was still quite a bit, but it had also melted some and then refrozen. The night before I had pulled my car, a Beretta, up onto my patio closer to the house because I had to go to work the next day, and I thought that would be safer. Well, we got snow and freezing rain over night. So it was packed up around my car, which was already fairly low to the ground. I got out there very carefully then hit a patch of black ice. I went down under the car and wedged in above my waist with the snow and ice around it. Thank God my arms, shoulders, and head was free. But to any that doesn't know, I have severe claustrophobia, tho its better now. I had a panic attack first and yelled myself hoarse, and no one heard or bothered to come help. After almost an hour I was finally able to get free of the car. But I was all bruised up, wet, and shaking from the cold. I decided I wasn't going anywhere but inside to take a hot shower. Ugh. If that happened to me now I would have broken something and might not have been able to get out. But hopefully I would be able to get to my cell phone. Shudder

I just got my 2nd booster shot of the covid vaccin. 2 days back in healthcare and i got the letter i could get one. Called yesterday afternoon and i could come today. All went well only i always get a sore arm, and guess what it's the case this time to.

lol conspiracy! Always in the weekends :D I am glad i can get into stuff, i kept getting questions and as i could not look it up i had to ask others. So Anyoing. The residents and co-workers where very happy to see me.

i only do it when i have the money for stamps and cards and if there are special days like world postcard day.

- I understand the storms blurring together. The only thing notable that Charlie did was split Sanibel in two. I listened to the news this morning and it seems that Fort Myers and Lee County have been wiped off the face of the earth. That makes me a little heartsick as my youngest was born in Fort Myers. :(

- gryphongrl's description of black ice is very apt. I hate it because you can be barreling down the highway at 60mph and think the road is completely clear. Then you hit it and end up spinning into a bridge abutment. It is the most treacherous of wintery obstacles. :)

- are you getting the botox shots for migraines? I understand they work well in that capacity. I hope they help you. :)

Black ice is the worst! I was walking my dog in the morning (January) before work many years back and she saw a squirrel or something and starting running while pulling me along. She ran over some ice, that I didn't see, and I slipped and hit my elbow pretty hard! I had to wear one of those mechanical type braces to where I could still bend my elbow somewhat. It was hard typing and such with my left hand for awhile.

I do the same. I sort of have to be in the mood to participate in events like that.

The achievement is called Drunk Gunter and people had to give him 100 beers for the title. The total is 250, but for the title I have is only 100. I dunno if we are still able to do that though or if it was a one time thing. I'm thinking it happened around Alegarten a few years ago.
