- I hate it when that happens. Then, when you mention it to the doc he gives you a look like "You gotta be kidding me, you expect me to believe you did this by just turning?!" x.x I understand the MRI issue, also. The last time I had an MRI done my doc had to give me meds to calm me before I would even go to the appt. And PT is the worst. I won't do it anymore. It hasn't helped me before now , it's not likely to in the future. I'm sorry you're stuck in 2 braces and hope that it heals up without any surgical intervention. Hugs :D
- that sounds painful. What did you have done? :)
- It's like he's working on a resume to be the villan of an action/adventure movie. Or maybe a twisted Disney movie. 😂
I had something called Mohs surgery to remove skin cancer from my face. It was just on my brow bone closer to the corner of my eye. The scar is gonna be pretty long the way they said they needed to sew me back together and not interfere with my eyelid. I have a pretty droopy eyelid at the moment. Hoping that as more swelling goes down that will stop. Don't much care about the scar but don't want a droopy eyelid.
“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin
"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the orphan." - Isaiah 10:1-2
Oh that's a good surgery for skin cancer. They are very precise and only take what is cancerous, leaving as much of the good skin as possible. Must have been scary being as close to the eye as it was. Hope everything goes well and no droopy eyelid. I wouldn't want that either. <3
- I'm glad they were a able to remove the cancer. I will keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't effect your eyelid. A droopy eyelid could effect your vision and that's no good. Feel Better. :D
pfff.... it's going to be a long road.... crap neighbour
I would imagine the threat of the pandemic kept y'all super stressed throughout the pandemic, though, working with such a high-risk group. I'm glad you made it out in one piece!
If they were transferable, I'd donate my loyalty box to the cause! In the meanwhile, I'll keep my fingers crossed that new opportunities for more slots pop up soon. :)
Nice to meet you, too! How was your weekend?
it was and we lost loads of residents. Made a big dent in our hearts and feelings.
Came to work today and one of my beloved residents passed away unexpectedly this weekend while i was off. Ok she was over 100 years old but still, she called me loveling crazy wench (not sure if the translation does it justice...)..i miss her dearly
- huggles you I'm so sorry one of your residents passed away. It's always difficult when that happens because everyone is focused on the family. They don't always realize that the staff that took care of them 24/7 would have feelings too. She was over 100? I bet she had some good stories she told you.Is there going to be a memorial service? :D
- My weekend was mostly quiet, which is how I love it. We did have a bit of a battle with instacart.com getting things set up so we could get groceries delivered. It took 3 of us to get past their capchka. It kept kicking us out saying we were robots. It finally resolved it's issue and we were able to get the groceries but sheesh, the hoops it made us jump through were ridiculous. How about you? :D
Hugs That is amazing she was over 100. Like Duck said people that take care of patients have feelings too. And I'm glad. It means those people are lucky to be taken care of so well by someone that cares. It doesn't always happen that way.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing patients is always heartbreaking, especially when they've been with you for a while. I wish her peace and I wish you and your coworkers lots of support. ❤
That sounds SO frustrating! Captcha codes are the WORST sometimes. I swear sometimes I sit there wondering whether I'm a robot because they're so tough to suss out that I get them wrong haha. I'm glad you got it working, though. Instacart is SO handy!
My weekend was not too bad. We did some running around and picking up pet supplies to donate to our local humane society because there are currently dozens of uncontrolled wildfires blazing in our province and over 43000 people have been evacuated from their homes and the humane society has been swamped with surrenders and requests for aid. People will always care about people so the human charities are all well supplied and we thought we'd help out somewhere else instead, so we chose there. :)
she was almost 101. She did not speak much but she was such a sweetheart, always happy, never mad. I am not sure what they family will do with the funeral, we haven't had a card yet. In our home we have a memorial service each 6 months to remember the people we lost.
That sounds like a lovely way to remember them. I'm so glad to see there are still places where people matter, y'know? So much of healthcare these days is so dispassionate it just breaks my heart. I'm glad you guys take time to remember your patients, that's really sweet. ❤
Anyone else watching Eurovision this week? :)
huggles you tightly
I'm not but I'm sure there will be memes and gifs of it all over Twitter and tumblr.
Thanks all. I find it a nice gesture that we remember people with a service each 6 months we lost.
We had a card yesterday about the funeral, it will be in her home town (other side of the country) but that is a long way away for me to attend. But they said there will be a way to see the service online. And the family where very happy with us and all the care we gave.
- Their capchka defeated my 18 yr old son twice. I tried their audio capchka and got a note that it wasn't working, to try back later. What is a person supposed to do when nobody can get through the capchka? X.xIt sounds like you had a fulfilling weekend. That's always nice. :D
- I'm sorry you can't go to your resident's funeral. Perhaps you could do something on that day in remembrance of her. Something we used to do is to plant a tree or rosebush in their honor. :D
i lit a candle. Could not find the service online though...
Happy international nurses day! Be kind to all the nurses (not just today) and this nurse lol :)
Eurovision is the greatest party on earth haha. The semifinals were wild. I can't wait for the final. It'll be up live on the official ESC YouTube channel tomorrow if you wanted to check it out! The memes truly are the best part. :)
Omg what is even the point of having a captcha if it doesn't work? I'm just glad y'all overcame it in the end!
Happy Nurses' Day! I hope you and your coworkers get treats and lots of love today!
- I'm sorry you couldn't find the service but you did honor her in your own way so that's all that matters. :) Happy Nurse's Day! Did your work do anything to honor everything you do there? :D
- I know, right? It's sad when the highlight of your week is defeating a site's capchka. First world problems... 😂
