I use my hands to write and play games. I don't want to be unable to do those things for any amount of time.

Spinal tap is the most painful thing I've had to go through so far.

Edit: I just remind myself that nerve tests can't be as painful as the spinal tap to calm down XD

Well 1st night of 2 night shifts is over and slept way to short (neighbours and my boys).. tired... Night started busy with a resedent that made a nasty fall, long story short she is in the hospital now. Hope to find out how she is when i am back at work tonight. Hope this coming night will be quieter

I was going to say I can't believe I haven't posted since before Vesnali but I can really. Hectic times. Getting work done on our house and having people around the house is stressful and interruptive. And a lot of waiting. It's difficult to feel like I can get stuff done when other people are here. And the weather has meant delay in work. Still not done. Rain through Tuesday so hopefully it will get finished Wednesday. Mom and I have our surgeries on Thursday. My other brother (who lives out of state) had a sudden medical issue with his eye. He had surgery on Friday and returns for another check on Thursday. And our car broke down and the cost to fix was nearly 3 times the worth of the car (it was 20 years old/over 200k miles) and we finally had no choice but to let it go. Was my dad's car. Now my mom and I are stuck using my brother's car until we figure out what is best to do for another car (new vs used, gas vs hybrid).

If anyone needs flowering or stuff from Esther's shop let me know.

Glad things are moving along with the neighbour. Slowly but at least still moving and so many people are involved which should help.

Agree with Emory about talking to the staff about your issue with floating items. Subeta is a little site and an old one and they might not be able to do anything to help, but it would be good for them to think about it and maybe keep it in mind for the future. Especially if they ever truly upgrade Subeta. If you don't have a disability there are so many things people just don't think about until it's pointed out.

Human avatars, quests, and events are my main areas of interest. I enjoy visiting the forums, too, and having a forum group to call home would be really nice!

3. How often do you play on site and will you be active within the group?

I'm on every couple/few days, or more frequently when I've got time off work. I occasionally have a lot on my plate so I'll be away for a couple of weeks at a time, but I'm happy to give notice if that's the case!

4. Why are you interested in joining Kindred Spirits? Are you currently in any other groups?

I'm not currently in any other groups. I used to be long to a couple of other groups but they've all died out over time. I haven't been part of an active forum group in a couple of years now.

I'd really like to be part of an active group again. I miss the camaraderie! I'd love to get to know some new faces, too, as most of my Subeta friends have moved on from the site over time. I like the idea of a close-knit group with active users who like to chat and hang out!

I'm always so awful at telling people about myself because I never know where to start haha!

I'm a healthcare worker by day, fanfic writer by night. I love board games, video games, reading, and spending time out in nature. I'm a mom to two cats whose escapades I'm always happy to talk about! I'm a science nerd and love to talk about anything biology, cosmology, or geology.

I absolutely ADORE listening to music and am always happy to give and take recs.

- Hugs I didn't mean to upset you. The actual nerve test isn't so bad. They use acupunture-like needles. Sometimes they use a numbing agent and sometime they don't. I'm not sure of the criteria for that. When my left arm was tested they didn't use it. They positioned the needles so they intersect with the main nerves. Then they send little electrical tingles through the needle to the nerve and see how it responds. If you've ever used a tens unit for pain then you'll know what it feels like. When they did it for my lower back they used the numbing agent. You know, it kind of feels like when your feet have the creepy tingles when you're trying to sleep. Does that make sense? As for the carpal tunnel surgery, I've known a few people who had it done and the results were a mixed bag. I know that I'll never have it done until there is absolutely no other option. That's just my feelings on it. It may turn out to be just what you need. I'm really sorry if I upset you, I didn't mean that to happen. :D

- My dirty little Subeta secret is that he does my quests for me. XD He can do one round of quests (15) in 10 minutes. It takes me much longer. I hope you're able to catch up with your sleep tonight. I hope the resident who fell is ok. :D

- We're in the same situation car-wise. We're trying to save up for a used vehicle but they're all, used and new, so expensive right now. I hope your surgery goes well and that you, your mom, and your brother recover quickly. :D

and - I've thought of doing that but haven't because 1) As pointed out this is an older site and I'm pretty sure they're not going to implement anything when they're focused on the new site. Things have been on auto-pilot here for a bit now and I'm hoping that's because they're busy pulling together Subeta V2. 2) When you make that kind of suggestion they expect you to offer up some kind of solution also. I have none because I'm still learning how to use the screen reader. 3) This is the last and biggest reason I haven't said anything: I don't want special treatment. Yeah, it's harder for me to get the flowers but I do still get them. Plus, I have amazing friends who make sure I'm flush with what ever game currency is needed at any one time. I would love to get a hybrid car if I had the money for any car. I really like the Toyota Rav4 Hybrid 2023. My son's friend had a Rav4 and I loved it. I got to ride in it and drive it once. I would think the hybrid would be close to the same. But I don't know. I have heard hybrids as a whole have come a long way as in function, design, and power. It would be neat to have a choice for fuel or electricity. Just my opinion. :)

We thought going full on electric wouldn't be practical since available charging stations are still few and far between. And I don't really know how long it takes to charge. Going hybrid seems a good compromise. My mom is really set on a hybrid. We've been looking online at the subaru crosstrek and the toyota corolla cross. I like the look of the Rav4 too. Totally different kind of vehicle. When things calm down we'll need to check them out in person and see how easy they are to get in and out of for my mom. My brother's car is kinda difficult for her to lift her leg into.

Oooh those are nice! Getting in and out of cars has really been the bane of my existence lately with my knees hurting so much. I certainly sympathize. Very important. I remember the Rav4 being a nice height and easier to do it, but I'm 5'10". Someone shorter might have problems. The width of the doors can be a problem too. Rox's car is a Yaris. I tease her its only half a car. lol It has short doors, so I have to bend my knees more. But David's car, a Nissan Acura, has really long doors which is great but is also very low to the ground. So pretty tho... My son has a Tracker and the height and ease in and out is great. I really like that. Its similar to the Rav4 that way. But you don't know until you try it like you said. It's amazing how different they are.

Everyone, I wish to introduce Loralea. She is three, a mini Rex, and spayed. I adopted her. She is still getting used to her new situation, but she already has done some cute binkies. She is helping a lot.

Hi all sorry for the poof but i had to take time to go back to normal routine again. Still a bi tired but glad no more night shift for a while. I always sleep crap, to short and always 2 day tired afterwards. Resident still in hospital :(

I had an update again about my neighbour. He has asked his laywers for delay so they can review his case... the landlord granted him this... sheesh i would have not. Remove your darn camera and stop bugging us (all he is still doing). He is quiet at my end, no nasty stuff yet, but now he is harrasing my other neighbours... Why?! Stop it!
