I like that the DC is showing more items per page, but would also like to see usernames below each item!

I like seeing usernames. I caught a very expensive item once that someone didn't mean to donate and I was able to return it to them.

It was weird not seeing the names at first, but after a while I don't miss them. I do think it's fun seeing who donated an item, so as people have mentioned having it visible via a hover or on the received item page would be a great alternative (better than having all the names visible all the time, really). Also agree that the 2 extra items at the bottom look off. Just having 28 items would be nice.

I honestly do not give a care about who donated something to the Donation Corner, so I would vote to leave the donations anonymous. Especially since it reduces lag?

My one recommendation though is to make the giftbox icon at the header of the page clickable in a way that refreshes the page (think of how clicking on a shopkeeper refreshes a shop).

Yes names. Sometimes when people mass donate it's their way of announcing they're quitting the site :(

I prefer seeing the names. Even if I never do anything with the information I like being able to recognize the generosity of others. Without that it makes it easier to not care and that is never a good thing. However, it seems popular to dump the cheaper items when leaving for a time which is very kind of those taking a break, but as long as there is no visible difference between frozen and self frozen accounts I feel it gives the wrong impression of Subeta's policies.

So far my favorite suggestion is 's. If it only loaded the name on the page after we pick up the item it could leave the information blank for frozen accounts and maybe there could be a privacy setting if you prefer donating anonymously.

As far as it looks right now I wish it showed the same number of item it did before and had more than 2000 in the queue. I know some years people like to keep it full during Luminaire and with enough people 2000 items can disappear very quickly. I understand that the other added items would just fill in but if people don't know how many over 2000 there are it would be harder to do something like that. Maybe it could just say showing 2000 of 50k or however many there are total like it does in the quickstock.

๐ŸŒŸYAY!!! I finally reached 5000 food items! My ultimate goal is 9000. ๐ŸŒŸ
My first Gourmand pet would appreciate anything from this list that looks yummy.

I like that we're cleaning up some of the lag issues but I think that now there's too many items on a single page, as I have to scroll to see everything, and the two on the very bottom are very out of place. I would also really prefer if we kept usernames on items either on the donation page or on the received item page; so many people donate to the DC to celebrate their birthdays, it's nice to be able to wish them a happy one.

[edit] An option in user settings to donate anonymously would be a nice addition, too, that way those who don't like having their names show up don't have to.

Whew, didn't know the donation center was getting so stuffed. I oughta visit it more often. I miss the donator names but that's my only woe with it, lookin' good otherwise! :)

While the lag isn't fun, I do like seeing who donated what and I didn't appreciate all those free hearts going to waste. (I really struggle to do these events every year so every little bit helps.)

I like seeing the donator names as well, but would fully support an user settings option to hide your name when you donate.

I also agree that I liked the old item layout - the new one fits fine on mobile, but I don't really need to see so many items, and it's too long on desktop. And on mobile right now, you're still using the desktop view, so you're zooming in either way!

i think having a toggle for anon or not would solve a lot of issues on both sides, and potentially cut down on the lag in the DC. anything that cuts back on potential site lag is a nice change, though.

If there was a way to opt in with a setting in the user profiles, that'd be neat. But I don't know the logistics of how to make that happen. I do not understand com pu tor, I just use 'em.

If that's not feasible, I'd prefer with names attached. I tend to thank people who donate large batches of items, so without usernames, I can't do that.

If limiting current donations to 2k helps reduce lag, that's great and fine with me, but I really do miss seeing the usernames of who donated the items. I hope the usernames come back one day
