I love it makes alot less lag and more items on the page

i currently prefer it the way it is right now, but i think a nice compromise will be a hover-over on the item that says "donated by Adventurer" without the user info drop down.

I recognize that there can be some benefits of having anonymous drops, and it's closer to a "real" donation box.

However, I think you lose out on a major part of the site engagement by having it be anonymous. Right now the DC is used for one offs, and misc drops. But it's also used for contests. And giveaways when people are feeling spicy. I know people who take joy in dropping thousands of goodies into the DC. Plus the people who like to drop items on their birthday. It's fun, and engaging. And if I pick up something particularly spicy, I do like to thank people. Yes, we can still drop items in, but you lose out on the personal touch that many use it for.

Of course it does! That is what this thread is for...feedback. Either way, I think you should post your feedback and let it be known. It could just be a deciding factor in what happens on Subeta. :)

I second 's comment on perhaps putting 2k out of X because it would be neat to see how many items are available even if you can't get to them all right now.

Honestly I've always wished that there way to donate to the DC anonymously anyway. I'll use it way more this way. I really don't feel like having credit for donations is necessary, especially with all the other things that the coders have on their plates that are way more crucial to the site functioning in general.

I was only little bit surprised by the sudden change, because today I wanted to donate pies and write this in my status: Happy π (pie) day and my birthday. There is so much items, so I am going to donate pies next yearXD.

I think this might be too many items per page, but that's not a big issue to me.

I like seeing the names, though I do wonder if there can be an option for anonymity when donating that you can toggle in your user settings/dashboard. :0 Since there are people who prefer anonymous donations.

I prefer the old amount of items in the donation center. Because I don't need to scroll down to see the last 2 items at the current DC, while now you have 30 items on a page instead of the old 16. (I have a Captiva E1701 monitor with 17 zoll, using 1280 x 1024 screen resolution. If you curious why I need to scroll down.)

I don't care about usernames. But I take screenshots when someone donated Custom Wearables and I'm not sure if the person leaving the site (sometimes you don't find any infos at the profile nor the last forum posts), or was it a mistake. Seeing a username - only in this case - is for me a good sign to help the person to get their items back. When it was a mistake and I was able to get some of the items, of course. On the other hand, I remember the time (before 2010 I think) when items in the Donation Center was anonymized and wrapped in the style of the Gift Boxes which we know from the Free Shop. If my memory serves me right, you couldn't see the donaters (which was the SubetaTeam account I think) name back on this time. So I don't have any problems when usernames doesn't show up anymore. But I definitely prefer the old amount of donated items by 16.
