Also in other random news, I started a diet in January and today I weighed myself and I was at the same weight I was 7 years ago. My BMI is no longer obese, but just overweight. I still feel like I want to drop more. My goal was to be in the upper limits of "normal" and for that I needed to lose 14kgs, sofar I've lost 8 :)

Kings day is our Kings (willen Alexander) birthday It's on april 27th. We had queens day first as his mom had it and april 30th.. But as he is king now and his birthday is on april 27 he moved it to that day. The week before it schools have kings games where they play games out door, get a good breakfast and more. So on the 27th we celebrate it with the whole country with fairs, music, king is on tour in a city and more.

Thanks! I've been counting calories mostly, and I've been monitoring how much of everything (vitamins, minerals, carbs, protein and fats) I eat. I still sometimes get the urge to eat a whole pack of cookies, but I can keep myself under control. I aim to eat somewhere in the range of 1200-1500 Calories per day, but I have one cheat day per week on which I eat more. This is so I can go to birthday parties, restaurants, etc without feeling guilty. At some point I'll need to start working out to increase my metabolic rate, but for now I've just been making sure to walk at leat 8000 steps per day.

- a couch potato weekend is always a good thing, especially when you don't feel good. are you feeling any better? my weekend was quiet, like i like them. :) we're trying to make plans for my youngest son's 18th birthday. he turns 18 at the end of the month. he wants to go to dinner at a local restaurant that styles itself as a british pub. it should be an interesting outing. no, i won't be getting the haggis. lol :P 😂

aha sounds like the same. The boys where happy to be home, they just love being home, but they are indoor cats. Next feast Is liberation day (liberated from the Germans WWII) on the 5th. And on the 4th we remember our dead who gave there lives for our freedom.

Day off for me, the boys woke me up at 5am and 7am. Gave up at 8am. But did all the household chores and took a nap. 4pm now and just relaxing and watching tv, season finale off Outlander.

I like tompouces! They're hard to eat, but yum! I have to work on liberation day, how about you? It's a shame that it isn't a public holiday every year anymore, because it's also the date my partner and I got together. This year we'll be together 15 years on Thursday.

It's definitely not covid, I've tested so much recently to be sure (my sister is pregnant, and I'm one of the high-riskers if I ever catch it!) so that's a relief at least ... I think it's just a bad cold! But I'm slowly getting better, just trying to shake off the tired/run down feeling right now which is a whole new task!
