Alex put ribs in the smoker this morning, and they were sooooo good. And then he tossed the corn on the cob onto the smoker too, and it. was. INCREDIBLE.

We haven't had dinner yet. Had Dunkin Donuts for breakfast, Pizza Hut for lunch, and gonna have steak/potato/corn/biscuit for dinner.

I still feel utterly exhausted. I am so glad the kids will only be there 2 days, and I am only working 1 more week. I totally am looking forward to some time at home. Tho I will need to go pop by the human resources office and the college bookstore this week after work one day (or two days depending on what I find out at human resources). I am hoping my college credits will get me a pay increase and plan to stop by and ask, and if so, get whatever they require for giving it to me :P And I have to get my online access for the books for this summers classes. AND find out if my next semesters classes will be covered by it and I should buy the 12m instead of the 3m.

Haha,. Alex and I had eggs for breakfast (and fresh pineapple!), and then we all had milkshakes for lunch (it was 95 degrees out!), and then smoker for dinner. :P

Tomorrow it's gonna be very hot too, and stormy I think. But we have a big picnic for the friends of music so.. hopefully it's not awful. :(

Nathan for some reason has excess energy. So today he has cleaned up his bedroom, hunted down broken tree limbs and started a fire, pumped up his tire in his bike and gone for a quick ride or two around the yard (and the neighbors yard)....and now is working on setting up the hot tub because I told him if he had any energy left he could work on that HAHAHAH! :P So he is.

I just made myself a salmon burger and am sitting down to get ready for my weekly writers group meeting. The dog is pacing around me panting because she wants my food. It's been an entire half an hour since she's eaten anything, so she's pretty much starving.

Tomorrow I have youth group installation of officers (not for my girls, for the big girls). I will get to see my daughter :* And have a board meeting after, so its going to be a VERY LONG afternoon.

I buy loads cheap after the event every year. I do this for most if the events. As most of you know due to my old galleries I had to buy of each item for all events. Not this time. It feels as though a weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

Plus it’s nearly the AC in Neo. Last year I got all star in 13 days. So trying to do that again this year. Krawk Island all they way. Then I stopped playing, my OCD means I have to get it every year since. This will be my 12 year in getting it luckily I’m still working from home so I can play in between letters 😂 so I won’t be around much in June, as I also have my birthday and 13 days off work.

Was nursing a hangover yesterday. Was ok after lunch and a nice nap In the evening we went to a charity football match for the Ukraine against Poland was a nice atmosphere apart from me being sick three times before the game due to a dodgy Macdonald’s. We never have maccies now I know why.

Brought two hanging baskets for the front of the house.

Also had to get a couple of rat traps as since we put our two bird feeders out we’ve had two juvenile rats in the garden. After speaking to some of the neighbours this morning. It seems to be an issue for nearly all the houses in the street (12). We think it’s because the house at back of ours cut down some big oak trees and they’ve just left the tree broke up on their grass. So they can easily set up a home there. They cut it down last march and still not moved it. Plus two other neighbours removed their shed and they confirmed that there was some rats under there.

Dang . That's a lot of trinkets. Ack for the rats!! And yay for weights being lifted. You should only do things that bring you joy! [Edit] Monday morning. And rainy. Yay. Not. It looks like it will be clear tomorrow for field day tho.

It's pretty chilly here this morning. Later will be a pretty good temp to mow the grass, if I get the energy. Couldn't sleep for shit last night.

I buy all the books, plushies, beanbags, and foods from event shops first, and then any clothes I'm interested in. And then just things I find cute :P

M child is strange. He decided to put the tent up in the yard. Even tho it's been raining all day. And it's raining now. And every time before it's been so damp he has given up and come inside. He claims he wants to stay up all night. He has his laptop out there. Which I am a little concerned for if he plugs it in in the rain....outside outlet and outdoor extension cord. Also makes me wonder if he is truly just wanting to be up all night like he said or if he is up to something more nefarious 🤪

Also. Guys. Twitch has been stuck up in a tree for two nights now. The ladder won't reach up, and even if it did, it's a dead tree. There's no way for heavy equipment to get through to it without taking down $5k worth of trees, most of which are still alive and healthy.

There's bear tracks under the tree, so I mean, OK, I guess it makes sense but like.. Twitch, come DOWN.

He said one of the poles collapsed and he came inside in the middle of the night. I thought I'd heard him moving about in his room (another reason I was not thrilled with him being outside) - just enough to disturb me as I was already restless from him wanting to sleep outside .

He was 40 feet up a tree. Wet food wasn't doing it.

Thankfully, a tree trimmer came out and was able to climb up the dead tree without hurting himself. He wasn't sure.

COINCIDENTLLY, it was the SAME GUY who had to come rescue my grandfathers cat out of a tree 7 years ago.
