I know how it is, Kat. There's no way I could've gotten either of my girls to get up and make their own breakfast in the morning.

There have been morning he has gotten up and made grits, but it's not often 😝 I feel like it's become almost impossible to get him up. And I stopped trying until 10-20min before time to go. Then he has no choice. He has to get up! He has an alarm set for 6. So he could get up if he wanted but usually does not.

If they leave s/thing on, I don't consider it "illegal" or taking advantage of a "bug" in the way that people do to exploit games or other software. That is the illegal kind of stuff but them not turning off the ability to kiss is different. The auto-buying of R99 rarity items was a major exploit, but most people seemed to have been caught and Keith fixed it, I think. I haven't seen anything about it in years.

[edit] So after work yesterday, I decided to enlist my lil bro's help to make a large area to put the new chickens and ducks (yes ducks) into while they get big enough to go outside. I've got 7 chickens and 3 ducks that have all mostly made it through a week already. First night I had 1 chick and 1 duck die so I went back to Rural King (similar to a Tractor Supply) and got replacements and the lady gave me 2 extra chicks so now I have that number and the 3 duckies.

It's surrounded in both chicken wire AND heavy duty plastic (took these pictures at night and the red light was really messing with the phone camera), the base is sitting up on layered plywood so it's off the concrete floor of the basement and has plastic down underneath the bedding for easy changing.

Haha yea I know it wasn't really illegal. Was just funny to say. Also, a few extra candy kisses wouldn't hurt anything anyway.

Bratchild wants to go to Starbucks. That's all the way across town! Blah. But if he has his gift card I guess I'll take him.

Awww oh my gosh baby chickens and ducks are sooo adorable.

I made the starbucks run make more sense ;) Since we are having potroast - and we normally have mac&Cheese with it, but he doesn't like mac&Cheese anymore, I decided I would make broccoli/rice Casserole instead and I needed cheese - so we went the SLIGHTLY shorter distance to the grocery store - which has starbucks inside hahaha

I want ducks so much! Also, I love to eat ducks. I almostttttt had Alex convinced that we should make a pond, so we could eat duck.

But then he (rightfully) realized that we'd only end up getting new pet ducks each year, and I'd never let him kill them so. Yeah. No ducks. :P

Hahaha yea. Thats a good reason not to have as pets animals you want/like to eat. Cows, pigs, lambs, ducks, whatever. I have never eaten duck. Nor a lot of other "unusual" meat animals (husband says he has had rabbit and turtle, um no thanks), that a LOT of people probably have. I am a pure beef/pig/poultry (chicken/turkey) person haha. Oh well I have had deer as well.

Got my casserole and yeast rolls in the oven. They're supposed to cook at different temps, but since the casserole is basically just heating up, I figure its ok :P I'll check it early. [edit] Mmmm Dinner was so yum! :D Now I moved on to schoolwork - to find an interesting announcement from my music appreciation teacher. - Now it doesn't really affect me, I haven't had any issues, and I am NOT behind in my work (I guess people who are taking more classes are having issues keeping up with it all?) But there has been problems with "past-due" work not getting turned in, even tho the teacher was allowing it. So she changed all the due dates to April 22 :P Except for quizzes. AND she changed how the grading is progressing, so instead of going from 0-100 as you complete assignments (yesterday I had a "58" in the class....because I've finished about 60% of the work and turned it in)....Now it shows a different scoring - normal scoring to me - tho she warned people it may not accurately reflect thier grade. I'm sure mines fine. IT says I have a 98 :P So 98 in music AND history!! GO ME! [edit] YES! Last stage reached. Now trying to get infected one more time. Chose one of the oldest (Yikes 2.5mil for a virus?) LOL - getting Boobitis.

Oh yes, it was frustrating at first, but I pretty much started ignoring that and looking at what I made on the individual items - so if I got a 90/100 and a 655/675 for example, I knew I was doing good,

I made a pork loin wrapped in bacon that we used for spring rolls and those are always the BOMB. I'll show a pic of the ones we did on Superbowl Sunday cause that's the only time I thought to take pics of what I mean b/c they're not the fried version you get at Chinese takeout. :P

I've never tried anything exotic as far as meat or seafood... I don't think. Not even duck, which isn't so exotic... just pricey. I've had exotic veggies, roots and I guess quail eggs are a little different than the normal chicken eggs. I WANT to!

Kat, I think it takes a lot to be doing school courses while working and being a mom/wife so for that, you have more than mad respect from me. I just wouldn't want to do it. I did a 6mth bootcamp of sorts for MS certifications and that was enough for me.

Thanks :D I'm doing way better than I thought I would with my classes. Tho to be fair I honestly think its because I made sure to limit myself to only 2 classes. I think I would have a harder time keeping up and doing well if I had more than 2. And yep, thats why I limited myself. I KNEW I had a mom life and a work life (and even a wife life of sorts) and didn't want to intrude on that TOO much. And sometimes I feel I do spend more time on the schoolwork than I should - but I do want to get good grades. (Dang note taking takes forever, but it gets me a good grade!!!)

I just think I'd do a good job being the lead teacher and I really do enjoy my job for all I complain about some of the kiddos. So gotta do school for it :P Sadly. If I could only just get hired on from my experience of working instead lol! I mean, like 4yrs of subbing, 2 yrs of Kindergarten para, and now almost 5yrs of Prek para!! Lots of experience now.

On the latter part, I think so too, Kat. <3 Makes a lot more sense to keep it limited on your classes and also gives me more perspective in how to accomplish things in a more reasonable fashion.

Biggest downside is that it takes longer when you do it slow. But at least I can do it WELL!! :D

Kat, you and Caz are both. I'm just so impressed with you guys!

Also. When Alex was working at the country club, he'd bring home leftovers sometimes, or when they shut down in the winter, the guys would get to clean out the fridges and freezers and bring everything home. Alex got mostly meat, because the other guys went for the bar. Anything opened already was also free game. So, we all kind of fell in love with some pricey stuff. I wouldn't mind splurging occasionally, if you could FIND it anywhere, to splurge on :P

I grabbed some lamb chops the other day. That's worth splurging on since I LOVE lamb!

Oooh yum! I also love lamb (even though I can only eat well done meat. BUT, Alex was a professional chef for many years.. he can always cook my food and still make it juicy and delicious.. it doesn't have to be charcoal!). Can't afford lamb chops for everyone here, but we had leg of lamb last Sunday for dinner, and then lamb pasta. That was yummy!

Also. I can eat lamb, but I can't eat veal. I don't know why. Maybe veal from a small, local farm would be OK. But I just can't do it.
