Tuesday's meant to be 10C maximum, then back to 4C max by next weekend I think o.O I guess the weather just wants to keep us on our toes :P
[edit] (fingers typing faster than I can spell again :P)

That does sound like a smart way to introduce them to each other. :) Mum and I went to a farm today. Had some warm rice porridge (I think you would call it?) with sugar and cinnamon. They sold food from local farms etc too. :) Was really nice!
Love actually might not be the movie for you then. ;)
I don't even remember us decorating our classrooms much. :P We did have a christmas play from year 1-6, which parents would come watch. I was very excited one year to get the biggest part. :P
That worked out nicely. :D We have not had much snow yet.. but that is normal for November in my city. :)

I never had the speaking parts in any of our school Christmas nativity plays - I was usually an angel lurking in the background somewhere :P I'm guessing we decorated the classrooms other years as well, but that's the only one I remember ;)
Do you tend to get a white Christmas, or is it more likely to just be rain?

wow that's crazy lol.
she's been wonderful today. Did a great job with the kitties and we've been taking her out nearly every hour. She did have one accident but it was partly my fault. I thought she could wait a little but clearly she couldn't. ooh that farm sounds nice :D
Aww, such a good girl. :) Puppies are a lot of work for sure. You mostly have to take them outside after everything they do.. Played for a while. Pee.. Eaten... out to pee! Slept? You guessed it. lol
I can't say I blame you for wanting to stay in the background. I guess I liked the attention when I was a kid.. as I got older not so much. ;)
Rain is defintely more likely than snow. ;) What about you?

We had a carol concert (well, we just played music and sang carols in the local Church) when I was in senior school, and I ended up with a solo for probably 3 of those .... that was pretty nerve-wracking! I definitely wasn't an outgoing teenager, so it was a test of my confidence to be able to sing in front of everyone 😊
Same here - usually rain, even if there's been a cold snap in the week before Christmas, it usually warms up for Christmas day o.O :P
Got any pics of Melody yet, or hasn't she stayed still enough? ;)

Well today's been a tough day for me. Melody was sick late last night so we had to drive her back to the shelter today to get her seen by the vet. They've given her some meds to calm her tummy and some antibiotics i guess in case she had something but they did check for parvo and something else and both were still negative. I'm really hoping she's feeling better in the morning.
Lene: yes. exactly. Paddy: I do. I'll try to post some once she's feeling better. I'm kind of a mess at the mo
hopefully it's just her getting settled into a new environment (a couple of the rescues here mention that newly adopted dogs can get tummy upsets with the stress (and excitement) of being in a new home and maybe with new food as well), and she'll be feeling better today squishes

Poor pup! I hope she feels better soon. I totally get feeling upset, but its good that the test came back negative. :hugs:
That sounds very nerve-wracking! No way I would have done that. :P Kudos to you. :)
We actually got a little bit of snow last night, but it is already gone now. :)

As long as I remembered the words, it wasn't too bad - playing with the recorder group in the same carol concert was worse (as most of the recorder group weren't overly confident, and one year the teacher who was meant to lead it didn't turn up on the day, so there were just three of us trying to make it work!) ;) But oddly enough, singing a solo didn't seem as bad as having a speaking part in a performance o.O
Yay on the snow, but that's a shame it's melted already. Hopefully you might get a bit more soon though - just enough to make it all look nice and seasonal, but not so much that you can't get out if you need to! ;)

So she's at the vet and will be staying there for a bit. just add her in prayers. I don't really feel up to talking about this right now. So if you'll indulge me on picking a topic and just chatting with me about that instead, i'd really appreciate it.
Not much happening here.. plan on heading out for a walk and a couple of errands. :) Working on my sweater a bit. :)
Hehe.. I would take a speaking part any day.. Not that I would love that either. :P The stuff schools put us through. lol
That would be lovely! Can't believe December is already here! At least I have some of the presents ready. Not sure if we will be baking much this year.

what was in the first pocket of your advent calendar?
hehe the schools do seem to think we enjoy all those speaking / singing roles! :P My brain still think it should be September.... I couldn't get to grips with last month being November, so I'm definitely not ready for December yet! :P

a squishy stress cat. You? walk sounds nice. hows the jumper going?
My mum called me yesterday, my Grandma passed. As sad as it is, we at least find some comfort in knowing she passed away peacefully and with her children there. And that she did not have to suffer for too long. ❤
Paddy: If we had to sing, I would just mostly just sing really quietly or pretend to be singing along. :P
Same here.. unreal that is like 3 weeks until Christmas Eve. :)
Raven: The jumper is going okay for now, hopefully the end result will be worth it. lol

a 'dinky decker' mini chocolate bar (and they aren't joking when they say it's miniature!) .... although it didn't actually fit into the pocket, so I wrote the chocolate names on bits of paper, and shoved the paper in the advent calendar pockets instead ;) oo I love the new HA :D
awww I'm sorry to hear that :( squishes I guess at least she wasn't at home on her own :)
hehe I wish I'd thought of singing really quietly!

Thankies. squishies And to think they wanted to send her home with just some help...
It worked really well for me. 👼 I did join a choir, but I was quite young at that point.. just a little kid. :)

I think that shows just how unbelievable that was! And also how good it was that your family were able to convince them that it wasn't such a good plan after all ;)
Our school choir wasn't really all that good - it was a small school anyway, so they let anyone join, regardless of ability.... so at least there wasn't so much pressure to always hit the right notes 😇

So i'm finally able to say what I've been avoiding. On Sunday night Melody was sick as you both know and she was still sick Monday night. So we had made another trip up to Atlanta Tuesday. I don't know if there was a mistake or something but the vet said they definitely ran a parvo test on Tuesday and it was positive. The shelter is treating her. We've been praying for her and keeping her in our thoughts. It's been tough and i've been in tears a lot but been given some tentative good news the last two days that there was no decline and she seemed to be holding strong. This morning we've gotten a cautiously optimistic report. She's actually taken some food. So we are very pleased to hear this. if you would keep her in your thoughts and prayers we'd be grateful.
PinkPanther I'm sorry dear. -snugs- good luck with the jumper
Paddy haha well i guess the paper works too ;) thank you. I love your's too
that's a positive that she's taken some food - hopefully she's a little fighter and can battle her way through it squishes
That radioactive-looking koi works perfectly with your HA today ;)
