For me it's an "old habits die hard" thing - when you had to read a book on the 12th (or 16th?) intelligence to refresh AP it encouraged hoarding! But also now I just have rare/expensive books saved because not sure if I really want to use them, can sell if it comes in handy.

I used to hold onto books too, but new books are being released so frequently that I don't worry about it. I don't generally use a bunch of boosters at one time anymore either. I use them as I get them, and tome when I need levels.
