Ughhhh what a morning. Lily skipped her first class because we were supposed to leave at 8:30 for an appointment we scheduled 8! weeks ago.. this was the first one they had.
Well, they called at 8:20 to say that they were sorry but they had rescheduled it for Friday morning. So now she'll miss that class again.
Plus, Elly got my cold and she is, as expected, dead. She plays everything up so much. Iz also has a slight cold, so she's ALSO at home, doing virtual schooling.
Just an annoying day.
And Alex has jury duty this morning. :P So.. annoyances all around!
Oooh yeah Kat, Elly is doing two dual enrollment classes this year, and she can take a few more next year. It's only like $700 for 6 credits!
Omg. Sounds like you have so much going on. I hope they feel better soon!
What else are you doing today?
🌸 || || 🌸
I left for work at 650. Was a semi nice day. Several of the aggravating ones went to sleep at naptime so that helped keep the peace of the day lol
I semi-completed my assignment for psych. I hope the teacher is satisfied. I did do 1 peer response instead of 2...I will look again tomorrow night to see if anyone ELSE posts (its just still me and that one person so far!)...and try to comment on someone else's. But I went ahead and typed up my "Overall Reaction/Experience" paragraph and my "social factors" paragraph anyway. That way I'm done even if no one else posts. I HAAAATE waiting til last minute (I do have until midnight the 17th - two more days) (and I guess I was a bit rude about the fact no one had done anything - hahah - one of my social factors was "social loafing" - when group members exert less effort on a group task than they would if they were performing the task alone - hehehe)
Katie didn't have to pay for dual enrollment!! :o It was paid for by scholarships or something, from the county/gov't to the school for the kids in dual enrollment? Maybe it was the FAFSA? She did have to fill out that form. I don't remember now (It was over 2 yrs ago) I just know neither I nor She paid anything for her classes.
Oh wow, that's awesome!
Here they have to pay, there's no scholarships or anything, though if you get free lunch (which the whole school does), apparently they'll pay for you to take the SATs twice, and they're going to pay for her AP exam cost? But the dual enrollment, not so much.
Still, it's SO MUCH cheaper (and you don't have to buy the books!) that I don't mind.
Also, that's some next level passive aggressiveness, kat! :P I approve, though!
Elly and Izzy are both home doing virtual again today. Lily is at school, then she has gifted computer club after, and then she and Akira have play auditions tonight.
Also, I no longer sound like Elmo OR minnie mouse, so there's that. Not quite like an adult human yet but.. I'll take it! :P
Glad you are feeling better! Even if you still sound funny 😉 Katie rented her textbooks....she didn't have to pay as long as she returned them. Hahaha yes I guess I was passive aggressive, but honestly. They should have done something by now for that assignment.
Omg y'all. Today we realized one shelf was falling apart so investigated and ..... Termites 😯😯😯 (at school). What else will this crazy year hold!!!
Oh no Kat! Are they shutting the school down to take care of it? That's insane!
I really am feeling better.
Plus, Elly went to school today! So that's a good thing. Isabelle is still home but that's fine. :P
No. Pest control is coming to our room this afternoon. The custodians scraped and sprayed the wall yesterday and removed the shelving. Not sure what pest control will do. But hopefully we can soon put new shelves in and put stuff away again.
It sure was fun NOT explaining to the kids. (4yr olds just wouldn't understand well) so we chose tot ell them the shelf broke and the wall was dirty lol
Probably a good choice. Can you imagine telling them there were bugs? Everynone would be getting calls about headlice and bedbugs or such! :P
Yeah I can just imagine the panicked parents lol bugs!bugs? What kind of bugs!!! I mean really on one hand as a parent I would want to be informed but on the other I understand not dragging everyone into something quickly fixed.....now if they did have to shut down the class or school, yes tell why.....but for just a bit of a mess in the room? Too much hassle😂
Yeah, that would be a pain :P
Today Isabelle gets to do her schoolwork from the library, since... I'm in charge of the library today.
Thankfully she'll only have to do her special there (music, maybe?) and pride time.. which I think may be speech today?
She's very excited at the thought of having pizza delivered to the library though. She was cracking up over the thought yesterday.
Omg the stuff they sprayed....well it stunk like piss. I mean really!!! Me and my lead teacher were both asking each other all morning if one of the kids had an accident.....we both smelled it!!! Ugh. Decided it had to be the spray since no accidents. And we were told we have to get rid of another shelf. So umm yaaay? Moved more things off shelf and into floor....closed kitchen play area as we had no where else to put stuff.... Once wall is cleaned up they found some spare shelves to give us and we can put thing back to the new shelves. I hope the smell goes away overnight. Ugh!
.....when you are in charge of the library, are you like the only one there??? I can't imagine such a small library. Ours has like 6+ daily workers.....maybe a few more but I can easily think of at least 6. By small I mean workers really. Because I know a library can be in a small space and still have tons of books to rent out!!!!
Yeah, the only one there!
There are a lot of books, but it's a really small building. The main library is huge and has a bunch of different people working, ours is only open two days a week and only for a few hours.
It's actually really, really boring :P I like it when people come in but... honestly, most of the time it's just me, sitting quietly in the library, reading my book.
OK actually, that sounds pretty great! haha.
Nice, kat!
Ugh we spent ALL DAY at the elementary school today, for the library/music booster craft show. Since we're involved with both of those.. ti was really an ALL. DAY. process.
My feet hurt. :P
All day events are tiring!!
We at kitten sitting for my daughter this week. She had a kitten ride back to college in the hood of her car so they adopted it! Named it Persephone. Took it to vet to be fixed....renamed it Perseus. Haha! So Percy is staying here for a week. (If you couldn't tell by the names, my daughter (and I) are huge Percy Jackson fans.) Right now he is eating MY cats food hahaha! Silly thing.
Also today is youth group thanksgiving meal. So I'll be gone this afternoon.
Elly LOVES Percy Jackson! For her 13th? birthday we did a whole Camp Half-Blood vs Camp Jupiter theme. Very fun.
Yay for kittens! .... boooo for cats :P
Today are Christmas pictures, here.
Elly says I "aggressively pounced' them with the pouncer.
.... it was a very fun feeling, I won't lie. :P
With the pouncer???
I love my cats. Mama and son. (Mama is also really named Tiger). Cheddar is the son. He's orange of course lol. They are slowly becoming acceptable as long as he isn't in their face.they are like 9 and 10yrs old now. Percy's only a few months. Maybe 6?
Yay for Christmas pictures. Mine won't do them anymore professionally. But I still take my own, while decorating or whenever we do something fun.
We did TWO Percy Jackson themed bdays. One all blue everything (cake, decorations, candy, chips etc plus blue pancakes for breakfast) plus a battle of capture the flag...the second she did the whole two camps theme too, including making shirts for her friends and naming their godly parents lol
