i agree regarding the chronicles of narnia. the movies were better than the books, even if they were disneyfied.
you're right about the outsiders. i completely forgot about that since it has been a long time since i've seen it. i am a fan of the hp books, too. they are fun and have a lively pace which keeps kids attention. important since my son is now reading thenm and his aattention tends to wander. not with these books. ;)
Dang. It would've been neat to seen The Silver Chair adapted O.O'
I need to round up my HP books and do a re-read sometime. If I can find the time. I'm a Hufflepuff XD
i agree, the silver chair would have been nice even if disneyfied. as for hp , we're all fans in my house. have all the books and a box set of the movies. my son says he's a griffendor, while i'm a ravenclawand my hubby is slytherin. fun household at times. lol
My husband hasn't seen or read Harry Potter but I swear he's a Slytherian XD
I always read in bed before i go to sleep to relax and clear my head. And i read a lot! Hufflepuff here
perhaps your hubby has read them on the sly? i know my hubby did. not sure why though except that he didnd't want to be seen reading a "kids" book. funny because all he reads are manga and asian lite novels.
i read at bedtime also. i read when i first wake up too. i read a lot . my hubby says that he could cancel out national debt with the money i spend on books. lol
i'm sorry to hear you have migraines. those are no fun at all. have you tried audio books? they are very accessible now through amazon's audibles store. just load them onto your phone, ipod, laptop, or as i use them, on the alexa , set the volume to low and you have a story without any of the visual disturbances. :)
Nope, no fun ever. Oh I love watching movies and TV shows. I do have to be careful sometimes with bright flashing lights or loud booms, like with explosions that last too long, but otherwise its fine.
Have you joined our cult? If you would like to, you would be most welcome. This quote from gives you the info.
my hubby suffers from migraines due to ptsd so we have to be careful with bright lights and loud noises too. it's difficult sometimes because i don't even think of lights anymore. i do love to watch tv and movies but now i need a narrarator to explain the long interludes of action sequences between dialog. it gets tricky.
i'm stoked. i got a pumpkins andd potions book from the free shop. stuffed it into my halloween/morosetide gallery.
i hadn't thought of joining. i play mostly by myself and don't talk to anyone but this has been fun. one thing i can'nt do is discord. it messes with my screen reader - it's like having 2 people talk to you at the same time. so if that's not a "must have" then i will join. i like you guys. :D
edited to fix Chrysariel's name.
lol! Your poor hubby. I love to read and i bed is so comfy!
Hiya. Welcome to KS. I went ahead and let you in! Any questions just ask. No worries about not using discord. It's not mandatory, it's just another option. Most members do not chat there though there are a couple that only chat there.
waves to everyone Super busy so sorry not around much.
“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin
"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the orphan." - Isaiah 10:1-2
I often forget discord.
welcome. I have migraines everyday with a bit of control from a shot that keeps me from curling up and wanting to die. Yes, they make action movies no fun.
As for Narnia... I have love for the BBC adaptation from 1988. They did up to the silver chair. If you haven't seen it, go find it. We watched it on PBS at home and at vacation bible school.
Made a cat doll for my great niece. Next a pink one for my niece.

My latest daily art thing.

huggles you
I have chronic migraines so I can understand the pain :(
My husband doesn't read books. Only news and tech articles.
I remember seeing VHS copies of the BBC adaptation of Narnia at my local library growing up but never watched any of them.
- if i could i would do everything from my bed, it's so nice and cozy. lol - thank you for letting me in. i promise to behave. :) - my hubby tried those injections but they didn't work. only thing that does is a dark and quiet house. good thing i am able to navigate easily in the dark. i heard about the bbc narnia when the disney ones came out but never watched them. i'll dig them up and give them a go. - i think he must have absorbed it from you. lol
Possibly XD
I know everyone that knows me eventually absorbs a good majority of the Animorphs book series...

Went to art in the park today and bought some art. It was cool.
it is good to try new !eds when they become available with chronic illness. It is easy to just go well meds didn't work in the past so I will just live my life suffering. Sigh.
love your urban fall look
migraines are what audio books are for. I can get them through the library for free.
lol who not?!
Good morning all. Happy sunday. Cloudy and not so warm weather here on my day off. So couch potato and writing some letters and cards.
congrats!
Waves to everyone, with extra to I loved the Narnia movies. Don't remember seeing the BBC ones.
Wow that's a long time! 9 years, 6 months, 3 days for me. My friend just finished the World of Time series of 14 books. I don't know how many audio. He loved it. I might try the audio books at some time, but I have trouble concentrating on just a voice. Don't like talking on the phone either. :) Loved your knitted kitty. So cute. Art was adorable.
- asks the obvious question, what are animorphs?
-congrats on the anniversary. i'm with you on the meds . i always ask about meds that will help me. hubby, though, is quite the opposite. if what he gets doesn't work he is quiet about it and lives the life of a martyr i wish we could get audio books from the library. you're lucky to have that service provided by your library. .
- happy sunday to you. :D
