I much preferred horseback riding to any team sports. :) It is always a bit of a pain if the person you are playing with has much more practice, but I suppose you can at least maybe learn some tricks.

It is very understandable to be scared or nervous being on a horse from the first time, especially if it was a bigger horse and not a little pony. :) It really is a thrill to galopp on a horse tho! Miss that. :)

It's one of those irritating days today where I can't really settle to use the computer as I feel I want to be doing something.... but I don't think it's wise trying to do anything today as my muscles still ache from sorting my room and sewing last week, and I not sure I can do enough concentration to get any sewing done without making a total mess of it 😊

I did break my resolution of not buying fabric (again) and spent £10 on some England football themed cotton that I'm hoping will make a decent shirt.... so ideally when that arrives (once it's been prewashed, as it's coming from a bargain warehouse kind of store and I'm not too sure how clean I'll feel it is), I want to get on and sew that shirt within a week so I'm not having to find somewhere to stash the fabric! ;)

Well it'd keep me quiet for a while, and also might let me rediscover some fabric I'd forgotten about (I found four lots of denim in the bottom of a box last week, that were destined to be various different things, but I need to figure out how to adjust my jeans pattern to account for having put some weight on in the last couple of years, then that'll be four new pairs of jeans :P)

some HAs just feel completely naked without them :D good luck on adjusting the jeans :)

Thanks - I think I'll need all the luck I can get with that, as I've never managed to get the jeans pattern to fit quite how I wanted it to in the first place! 😊 It's one of those that was almost right, but still looks like there's elements that aren't quite sorted (and I have no idea how to fix it!)

awesome :D I'm hoping I can get Skyward sword soon. Maya has been jumping onto the bookcase and I saw her in the very early morning on the top of my shelves. If the shelves weren't rickety it wouldn't be a problem. But they shift and she's already fallen off the lower shelf about a month after I got her. To protect her, I removed all the shelves. I've also have taken the bars down and spackled all 12 holes they made to keep the shelves in the wall. And I had to go buy the spackle too lol. So that was lengthy. I've had to sand the spackle afterwards and then hoover the mess up. Tomorrow I'll be painting the wall and ordering shelves that will each go into the wall--a safer option. These also have a side bracket which will make it harder for her to get into.

Glad Maya is okay! Sucks having to do all that work! Hopefully you can find a way to maybe put up new shelves that would be safer. :) Just got home from a doc appointment today. Just follow up on meds and blood tests so nothing too bad. :)

Several years ago I'd spotted a riding lessons sign near where we were staying on holiday (they also did a beginners hour long ride through the countryside), but I never plucked up the courage to try it out!
