, - Alright, let's try again sometime in August when I'm back from grad school. Maybe sign-ups can start at the beginning of August and last a week or two. That would give us more time to really get the word out and advertise. Maybe even use a billboard here on the Subeta forums to advertise it.

I have several 10K billboards just sitting around from bathhouse, so I can run/donate a couple :).

I'm trying to wrap my head around Keith's front-page explanation for this week's weirdness. Their database just decided out of the blue to add one to a bunch of fields?

Sure, that sort of thing happens all the time in companies with legacy data. Remember the time Gmail became Hmail for the day? Or that time when you had to dial 912 to get an ambulance? Databases just don't behave that way.

I don't know what really happened, but I don't believe a word of the explanation he gave.

A weird thing happened today when I entered the new quest shop items. Somehow the The Ghost and the Bat book and the Sunset Ghost Beetle Horns items got entangled with each other. Anyhow, I had a real rough time getting the info into the database, but I thought I'd managed to fix it and get it all straightened out.

But someone commented me that the new book isn't showing up in their pet's book list. Could you please take a look at the items? May need to delete then re-enter them, I just don't know what's going on.

: Not at all sure what happened, but I think it's all fixed now. The book was still marked as a clothing item, and so I unchecked the clothing box and checked the book box.

grr...I still don't know what happened, but I had to change stuff about 10 times before it stuck...and I guess I must have missed changing the book/clothing option the final time.

It was just such a weird thing because when I first entered it the clothing item wouldn't show the overlay. I fixed that, but then noticed the desc was written as the cake desc, so I fixed that. Then I got to the book and it was named as the clothing item, but showing the book image. The prices were messed up too. At first I thought everything had gotten jumbled, but in the end it was only the book and the horns.

I think it was the book and the horns somehow getting the same name that I really started having trouble making things stick when I changed them.
