Happy Subeta Anniversary !

Thank you for our CWF beautiful sweater and the lovely words for it. I feel the same way. I've been sharing life for these friends for many years. You're all the best! ❤

“Finding lasting relationships is hard to do. But sharing tea and coffee with you all means I’ve got friends for life. Being together here is the best! Just like this comfy sweater we share!”

The background I'm using was made for CWF many years ago. It's our she shed. 😄

Thank you wo much. Yarn picked out the words for hs because she loves us very much, she helped me with this as well as all of you for voting. I'm really glad like it. I need to buy the background soon!

Good Morning! I have been questing a little bit when I get home from work. It has been so hot and humid that when I get home, I just want to lay down and take a nap. That heat just drains me and it gets worse every year.

Well, I am off to work.

It was 92 degrees Farenheit in my car when I got out of work. It was suppose to be in the 90's this week, but it's actually in the 80's, but the sun is so strong, added to the humidity that it feels like it's in the 90's. I can't wait for autumn weather. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we have an Autumn this year.

I hope you and everyone else has a wonderful day. Off to do some quests before I get too tired!

Hey guys. Sadly today I had to say goodbye to my cat, Jake. :( We took him home a little over 10 years ago when my aunt passed away. He was 16 years old and had a long, happy, life- but it still sucks. He has been battling health issues, but really had gotten much better in July before declining again this past month. I was really hopeful that we could get him back on track after him rallying so many times, but yesterday he started having trouble walking and we noticed it felt like he had fluid in his stomach. We brought him to the vet today who confirmed he did have fluid in his abdomen, his gums were very pale, and based on his ultrasound and bloodwork, it looked like he had cancer. We decided to say goodbye to him so he could have a peaceful and dignified send off. I will really miss him. It was very hard coming home today without him and then getting in the house and seeing all his stuff- his food bowls, scratching pads, litter box, his favorite sleeping spot. :( :( :(

This month has really sucked so far. :(

thank you. <3 It has definitely been a rough month. We "inherited" Jake from my aunt when she passed away, along with her other cat, Mitzi, and her African Grey parrot. Mitzi passed away in 2014 and my other 2 cats, Pepper and Romeo, passed away in 2015 and 2017. Since then, it's just been Jake with the dogs, which worked well for him because I swear that he thought he was a dog. lol When Romeo died, he started sleeping in my bedroom with me almost every night and he's always been a cat that just loves hanging with his people and the other dogs. We have especially spent a lot of time together since the pandemic- so I guess that was lucky in a way that we have gotten this time together. It is just heartbreaking because he was so there mentally, but his body just was breaking down. He has had so many vet visits since January and I actually changed vets for him in June after my previous vet basically couldn't find anything specific wrong with him and said it was probably just that he was "old." His new vet immediately diagnosed him with a bladder stone and took him off of the thyroid meds his old vet put him on because he was having such a bad reaction to them that he had facial mutilation (he scratched himself raw). We got him to eat his diet food for the 6 weeks to hopefully dissolve the stone and he really was acting like his old self in July, but then started to slowly decline again at the beginning of the month. I just kept hoping that we could get him over the hump and that he would be ok- but the cancer had other plans.

Sorry for rambling. I pretty much had a feeling going in to today that it would be the day we said goodbye, but it doesn't make it any easier. This is the first time in 22 years that I haven't had a cat. :( I just don't know I could ever have another one after all this heartache.

My heart ached reading all that. It reminds me so much of my cat Icey before he passed. We are also sure he had cancer, his brain was there but his body was not either. When I put him down it was for him not to feel pain anymore. I am glad you got to spend the remaining time with him. Honestly the virus was a blessing to us in the beginning- my husband got too spend two months with our new baby girl but so many things happened. It is very hard Honestly not to have a cat anymore. I adopted one a few months after Icey was gone but it wasn't the same and the cat started attacking me when I got pregnant and spraying everywhere. I gave him to my sister because he was a good cat and they have such a huge bond. Im happy for him. But I really miss having a bond with a cat. I always say Icey was my first child because that's what it felt like.

I'm glad you changed vets, its like changing doctors- you have to find the right one. That is very sad to hear his medication caused him to do that.. I'm really sorry for your loss. I can't tell whether or not you would get another pet but they can also bring you joy despite the sadness that may come along. I also wish I could tell you it gets easier but im still grieving Icey till this day

and , I'm also a cat person. I'm so sad to read about both of you losing your kitties. All I have now are my subeta kitties. My last one died of diabetes many years ago. She was the only cat we had that attached herself to my husband. He taught her to roll over at bed time, then he would give her a treat and take her to bed in her own room. It was so sweet. He took it harder than I did when she died. Two of our granddaughters are allergic to cats so we never got another one.

Thank you so much for the Romero Shipwreck Watchman Rattle if you are the anonymous person who sent it to me! ❤

, the rest of our cats found it beneath their dignity to do tricks. I'm sure they were thinking "if you want tricks, then get a dog!" 😆

That's humorous xD. Honestly I've seen some cats do some amazing tricks! I was impressed. I think earlier this year? on America's got talent they had kitties doing tricks!

I remember that on America's got talent too. Cats are amazing. They make a house a home with just their individual personalities.
