thank you. Just so heartbreaking for the adopters and of course, for Rocky. I just wish they had longer together, but I am glad he was in a home with an amazing family instead of in a shelter when it happened. Sometimes being involved in rescue just breaks you.

I know what you mean. I want to volunteer at a shelter, but I honestly dont think I could handle all the sad animals that take forever to find homes, or never do.. :( It takes a really big, strong heart to do the work you do. <3

I just found the thread you mentioned out "in public", . I had forgotten about it. It was there to get us forum points and exposure for new members to join us... If I commented on it now it would be "rezing a dead thread" though... Man... that's been a while back, too. :P I wonder if I could make a new one and get some of the same people involved again? :P :) Maybe later on when we're more "back to normal".. still figuring out my "new life" of working from home. :)

Yeah we have been at the office the entire qurantine but def not living the life we used to. Its so strange but I feel like this is forever going to be the new norm x.x

, unfortunately that's what I'm hearing and reading... until they get something that helps us be immune to it... it's always going to be out there... I don't think they can eradicate it like they've done for other things in the past... like polio or tuberculosis...

that's scary D: I hope they figure out something with peeps going back to school

thank you for your kind words. Sometimes I don't know how I do it over and over again, but then I just think of all the dogs I've helped and the ones who still need me and keep chugging along lol. It is definitely not for everyone, though.

as a teacher going back to school in about 3 weeks, I'm definitely nervous about covid, though excited to see my kiddos. So many mixed feelings.

I've a friend who was a life long teacher.. almost 20 yrs and she gave up her career because she's too at risk to catch it. :(

that's so sad. My sister is a teacher in Florida and she has a lot of chronic health issues and is immuno-compromised due to medications she has to take for them, so she had to take a leave for the beginning of the year at least because her school is going back in person even though Florida is a big hotspot for the virus right now. I'm lucky that at least New Jersey is on the downward trend and my school is making kids and staff all wear masks. She was very upset that she had to take a leave and she doesn't know if she will ever get to go back to teaching. :(
