: I'm back, I had late rounds up on Sickness and Recovery here at Healer's Hall and two cases in Accident and Injury. Nothing serious, a large gash from falling out of a tree and a large bump on the head from two adolescents who were messing around up near Flat Iron Butte. They got patched up, given a hug and a kiss, then 'dope-slapped' and lectured by the Master Healer...(snicker!)

So I'm going to be in character the next few weeks, as Vioran Soldier becomes more and more agitated by the quasi-invincible compulsion to move on. It'll be pretty blunt, maybe even copping attitudes. Every Vioran goes through this, though some for reasons their own stay. But to do so that have to renounce being Vioran, and that's a one way road.

Mine still 'ere, I took a break after finishing the last assignment. I spent some time making almond horchata, which is now mellowing in a fridge until its time to drink. If possible, I might have friends over for movies. To put the semester behind us. Though it'll be my birthday, I only observe.

All that's left is my automotive homework, I'll do what I can.

: I'm just trying to stay cool, it seems that Summer wants to start a month early, It's been in the upper 90's here in Glen Meadow. We didn't get much snow and rain this year, so the creek isn't running as fast or high as it normally does, but we are also seeing lots of snow runoff from what snow we did have and the creek is icy-cold. Too cold for swimming. Thankfully, the mornings are cool as are the evenings...but I really dread what's going to happen in July and August. A few years ago, the foothills had nearly 30 consecutive 100+ days of heat. I don't want that this year...what with everything else that's happened.

I love your paw-craft! The frogs are adorable! Is that stone, ceramic, or glass? I'm not familiar with that material. Our community has artisans who craft small items from clay and metals like silver or brass, but most of it is pretty utilitarian. There is one artisan who makes things from glass she salvages from an old abandoned 100 year-old waste dump, but again, the items are utilitarian, or very small, like lamp work beads. We also have some stone carvers who use California Jade, ( your frogs remind me of that Jade...very beautiful. ) Your work is so shiny, bright and colorful! The craftwork our artisans turn out isn't nearly so and quite muted, if not mundane. Great job! Come to think of it has been making somethings with a new material that starts out liquid and solidifies in the presence of light. Have you ever heard of that?

That is a lot of hot! Do you find it is dry heat? We have severe humidity with our heat here, which makes for miserable days. We have a lot of 90+ days, and a few 100+. We tend to have Winter and Summer. Spring and Autumn last about 2 weeks, then it is either cold or hot. LOL

My clay craft is polymer, which is plastic. I was hesitant to begin using this medium, as sustainability was a concern. I have no worries about it tho, as it is art, and hopefully not dumped in the trash! I began creating with polymer clay as a physical therapy treatment, and never thought it would turn into a profitable business. :) Polymer clay can be liquid or solid, and becomes hard with curing in a regular oven. No kiln required. I enjoy making beads, sculptures, most anything your mind can imagine. I cannot draw a straight line, but I have found my creativity flows with clay.
