Anytime anybody complains about the weather, some wise-guy always remarks, "Well, at least it's a dry heat." example:

"Wow, it's really snowing!" "Well, at least it's a dry heat."

"I hate this dang fog!" "Well, kat least it's a dry heat."

Never fails, we're hot from March through October for most of the time. Average precipitation is <10 inches.

I really appreciate those who can craft with their paws, and your stuff is very pretty. Do you market these items?

I was never good at paw-crafting, cooking, needle-work. My mother is a Journey-Level II needle-crafter who could make fantastically intricate large items like bedspreads, tablecloths, and the like by crocheting, tatting, knitting and other needlework skills. I was too impatient for all that, but I could tie a fly in a fishing line. Mother is retired, but still makes small lace items, doilies, table-runners that she can take to Market. My father is a Journey-Level II Carpenter who also retired and now takes on odd little jobs now like small cabinets or benches, if he feels like it. Yet, I wouldn't know a chisel from an anvil. The only paw-craft I was good at was plastering my little friend Bretton Jeffery-Pine's face into the nearest mud puddle. I could whittle with my knife some little utilitarian thingies, like a gee-haw whimmy-diddle or a puddle-jumper copter-stick. to entertain my children. But nothing as fancier.

I like to draw, make music and write.

Yes, I am a role-playing character, but I don’t bite (much.)

I got a 98.6 on my automotive course, half assing. Imagine if I applied myself!

My friend couldn't come, but others I invited are enjoying some odd selections.

I did get some nice gifts, some snacks, some $, and a 1/25 F-150 Flareside 4x4. Just like the truck I've been working on the last few years.

you are welcome. Hope it helps some. There are SO many guides out there, and I needed something simple and to the point. I have kind of let up in the past few months with all the events, and whatnot, but do try to battle a little each day, to try out different weapons, scrolls, etc. It still is a bit (lot) overwhelming to learn all of it again after going years without a battle. I'll get there tho.....

to me heat is heat. Can't stand the stuff - makes me pass out. I do wear cooling vests, hats, etc., but wow....it can get intense. I have lived in both dry and wet areas. Heat is simply miserable to me. I feel sorry for you having so many consecutive days of 100+ tho.

Yes, I do market my wares. Mostly I do custom orders, and juried (judged) shows right now. Like the frogs are part of a custom order for someone who wants a frog themed family sculpt. Each person in the family will be represented by a frog, and they will be on a lily pad with the family surname on the pad. At least that is what is in my mind. LOL

- congrats on that self proclaimed half-ass score! NICE! And great gifts for a happy birthday! throws confetti

I did my best, because I wanted to, some students can't even be bribed to succeed.

We're now watching Brightburn, a hero horror movie. Something along the lines of Superman, but inclined to evil.

25 days in a row! You found 40 CSC in the pool! Yay! Love CSC days!

Happy Birthday!

Exactly! (re: clowns and their bad movie reputation. Sorta why I hate dobermans. Besides being chased by them when I was a kid. shudder.). I love clowns! I have seen medical clowns in children's hospital wards and can find (almost) no higher calling.

Real bias is supposed to be cut diagonally but the ones for masks can be made that way with no problem. Hopefully, the homemade masks will be a temporary wardrobe item. I do not look forward to years of this... Your HA is SOOOO gorgeous! I wanted to change my HA but the items page had not been loading for me. :( We did have a lot of serpents of a sudden!

Real Life can be better than fiction (and funnier!) Okay, maybe not. I have heard it's all about presentation. In my case, sort of like giving a pair of socks and then the scissors and paper and tape and telling to wrap their own gift themselves.

I have only been back to work for 7 actual days but I feel like someone cut off my internet. 😭 It takes EVERYTHING A LOT out of me.

I started working at the school in the afternoon program about 8 years ago. At that point I was still barefoot AT ALL TIMES. The bottoms of my feet felt like shoe. The following year I took a (disaster) office job that lasted 6 months (a sliver of the many problems I generated there was my shoelessness). 6 years ago I took two jobs with the school, p/t in the morning as a teacher's assistant and p/t in the afternoon afterschool program. That's when I started wearing shoes every day! It was the weirdest thing to get used to!

I thought that was an unusual phenomenon: who knew that scales were contagious??? ;)

The (beer) joke is hilarious! Thank you for repeating it for me. I am not a teetotaller. (I thought it was teatotaller, so I looked it up. Interesting!

teetotaller One who chooses to abstain completely from alcohol. The word was first noted in 1833 in a speech by Richard Turner, an abstinence advocate, in Preston, England. Turner was a member of the Preston Temperance Society, who had an impediment of speech. In addressing a meeting he remarked that partial abstinence from intoxicating liquors would not do; He exhorted members of his temperance society that they must insist upon tee-tee-(stammering) tee total abstinence.

After attempting to learn hexadecimal system, I am in great fear I can no longer learn and retain new information. Very scary for me, as I have always been a seeker.

Thank you! :)

Because I was born so close to Mothers Day, we decided to celebrate together this year on Sunday. We started a large puzzle and played games. My sisters made food for us: vegetarian lasagna, Japanese cheesecake and appetizers. It was so good and we had a lot of fun together.

I know a lot of people might be bummed about being in lock-down on their birthday, but I think it just means you need to put more thought into it, which makes it more special. My family is awesome!

That's awesome! I love the veggie meal plan! I was also a celebrant during lockdown. Thankfully, there were other ones to remember. My daughter made a video of everyone wishing me Happy birthday, that was nice. I am so happy you know how awesome your family is! Family is the BEST!

For the time being. Day 34 Beginning today I'll be in character, so all my initail posts will be in a spoiler.

This always happens, arrive on a world. Spend a time, then begin what looks like a sudden madness. In your time it takes 9 years, 4 months, 9 days, and 8 hours. What we call it translates to the word "tour", something to keep us from doing things like conquering worlds, among other things.

It's been 9 years and about a month, the symptoms of this include extreme restlessness, efforts to use this are obsessively sharp. I may do questing not alone, but all 47 of my subs. 245 divided among 47...five minutes flat. One thing can alleviate this, spending the bulk of my time far above the claustraphobic surface, for days on end.

I could stay, sure. But since a tragedy from my past, I chose to never be tied down anywhere. No reason could compel me, nor could anyone . I prefer to be Vioran, be sinister, and so I'll go when the time comes.

Where I go, is far enough to be forgotten. You wouldn't be able to point up to the sky and say "that's where he went". Its somewhere so far, the skies won't a thing like yours. I'll know when I get there, and just start over.

The odds of another coming. is slim to none. Not in your lifetimes, but when that door opens its a crap shoot.

This always happens, only a scant few stay. I'm not one of them.

[edit]Looks like my grades aren't as good as I thought. It seems my Office course was a D, while Automotive is an A, which may average to a C. But I think the Office course didn't take into account all my submissions, I'm also having trouble locating information about final exams for my classes.

Yeah, you're right about bias tape being on the diagonal, but yeah, making it from fabric for ties along the grain works just fine. :) I'm frustrated with trying to get fabric online. I think someone upstairs is telling me I don't really need it. I keep getting notifications that my order has been canceled because they don't really have it in stock. Blah! I feel like I'm in Subeautique and am missing the restocks :P

Happy birthday ! I hope you had a great day!

Yeah that Comprehensive Guide to Battle Opponents (v2) is AWESOME! Easy peasy to read, and loads of expert advice!

- awww...thank you for the compliment! I really enjoy creating things, and it is humbling to share those creations, and a bit nerve wracking as well. We are our own worst critics.

- I had never heard of a gee-haw whimmy-diddle! How cool are those?! Just watched a YouTube video of a guy named Jim, who was showing off some gee-haw whimmy-diddles....I wonder if that is the plural....LOL

One more day, local anyway. Not having traditional sleep patterns can also make a restless mind and body tremble. A mind like mine can grow tired of many things, partly responsible for the choice we make. A species like human doesn't live much more than some 80 years...not enough to see how everything can become boring. Under an imperfect mentality, granted.

So an imperfect mind living long enough to express age with commas can only do the same.
