Ultimately he's still going to need maybe another 1,700, depending on how many leeches I need to use for his final stats. But I want to focus on my other pets before I start worrying about his final stats. I'm not in a hurry to cap him since he's able to beat most opponents without much trouble.
I'm a bad battler in that I'm very loose about stats. I know I hated it when Salima was capped, so I'm avoiding that situation and I like having lots of health and strength. I know one can maximize one's build, but I can whack everybody pretty well and that's enough. I haven't been motivated to do much in recent years, but I've decided to start working on my second pet some. She can beat some impossible opponents in BQs, but clearly not all. Maybe that will get me back into things :).

Thank you both for replying! :)
Right now I just want to raise my pet's stats to be able to beat more opponents and to do that, I'm focussing on BQs. Maybe I could accomplish more by switching crystals around for certain opponents; so far I have only modified my weapons once and left it at that. I will definitely give those crit hit crystals a go!
What does eor stand for? Thank you for just making me aware of parched crystals, I didn't know about those either :D
Sometimes I'm a little overwhelmed by all the specifics when it comes to batteling, but reading in the BC really helps :)
If you have the right weapons, you can pretty much bash everything once your pet is T13. Unless you do something really silly like 15k speed, final build doesn't matter too much. Some opponents will be easier than others, but still beatable. My second pet is going to be higher health and defense than my first pet who is all strength and speed. I hated being crit hit. My second pet actually does better than my first pet did at his tier.
For me, the more advantageous mods to use for BQs are parched baguettes and then either attack or defense mods, depending on your weapons. Blessing of natural armor (bona) may be better for you than parched baguettes, again depending on your weapons. Opponents that steal, I either steal from them, generate junk or chain freeze them so I don't have to worry about bona for battle quests.
eor = eye of royalty crystals. they are the best mods that exist out there. Marquise crystals are the next ones down and the more practical mods to use because they are easier to obtain/cheaper to buy, but still very effective. Yeah it's a lot to take in at first but the more you battle, the more things make sense.
It really just depends on what you’re doing. Regular fights EOR crystals are a go to.
But in ’s scenario he can’t hit meatslab towards the end of the fight when his defense is boosted, so it doesn’t matter if he has extra icons through elemental crystals — it’s not enough.
Crit crystals proc independently from each other you can have multiple proc in the same turn resulting in a huge hit (I’ve had 16k+ on a 5k strength pet)
The RNG chance at a double/triple proc etc. is more beneficial than adding extra icons, because at his current stats the icons aren’t enough to beat the boosted defense.
like said - curses bypass defense. They can also stack and do damage over multiple turns instead of just one. Opponents like meatslab also take strategy and some luck if your pet is not a capped tank. Relying on a chance at a crit hit is not enough. You can crit him for 5k damage or even do curse damage for 4 turns and him just use both bluud wands and heal for 10K, putting you back at square one but with potentially less scrolls now to use.
I beat him (easily) with ME and USS when my pet was barely T13. Awful weapons to use against him All crits
That was after every strategy you can think of 7 different EORs for damage and curse stacking, physical defense EORs for big hit blocking, etc.
Added 7 crits and I won 3 out of 4
“Chance crit” is significantly increased when you have 7 crystals
T13 is more than enough to beat meatslab. My second pet got one win at T11 using ME and wrath of K, 5 wins with 13k core stats. With meatslab you can use both EoR and crits since freezing is disabled. I haven't even bothered to swap out the parched baguettes since he's high T12 now. More than one way to beat an opponent. A good blast and good scrolls always help when you are fighting guys with low stats
That's a lot to look into, thank you very much for the advice!
You Won! You have defeated Unstable Snow Fairy
HEMI earned 3500 EXP Points!
I've trying to beat the final form of Meatslab
I see! I beat him a loooong time ago. Sadly, I don't remember it too well, except that he was annoying and that I figured something out that worked for me and I love my Cronus Blade, so he's definitely worth the effort. Sorry I can't help - he's probably even been changed and I'm so out of it, I just noticed there is such a thing as Eye of Royalty crystals...... I need to pay more attention!
Good luck!!!

I've been gifted a Cronus, and it's helping me get quite close, but I keep missing it by that much....lol
Keep doing BQs and trying. One day you'll get there. That was my thing with Prodigy in the old days. My weapons sucked, but I got there :).

No problem! The biggest thing is to pay attention to what attacks your opponent does and if certain features (freezing, stealing, healing, scrolls, weapons) are disabled. Each opponent is a little different, so you want some variety in your armory for different situations
Well, big day for me: after many years at the same levels, I got Fayina just now to level 12 and Laurelle to level 9 and while doing so I discovered that some regular opponents have different loot now :p....
[edit] It's worse: I had the loot items, but had forgotten! Old age sucks, but it does make old things new again, at least for a little while :D

I did a bit of grinding, so I guess I should probably start doing battle quests with Guinea Pig to get it closer to T5 now that cuddles is ‘done’.
Guinea Pig So smol and precious...
