I can add it to the first post somewhere, but I'm not sure if this is something that the regular staff who usually handle requests on this thread would be able to do, or if it would have to be brought up with the battle admins. Because I know they usually handle all of the battle stuff separately.

Darn I came here to suggest be made a minion, but it's already been rejected. I'd like to know why. It really looks like it's "alive" (I mean plants are living things so I guess it's technically already alive, but you know what I mean).

How about as edible, especially since other quest items in the summer category ARE edible. I mean, succulent? Not edible?? Really? ;-)

That item has actually been rejected before in the past because the "succulent" in the name is referring to succulent plants, it's not meant to be a sugar skull even though it kind of looks like one.

It wasn't showing on the rejected list until now because I must have missed it when I initially transferred the old info into this new thread, but I went back and checked and yeah it has been rejected in the past. I've updated the list of denied suggestions now to reflect that, so sorry if there was any confusion!

Thanks Laurey! I almost sort of "get" the 'succulent plant' if I REALLY really look at the picture LoL Disappointing, because I am trying to go through my wardrobe and feed the edible items I would NEVER put on my HA. That is one of them. ;P

The book that describes the care for these describes them as plant friends. Therefore, they should be minion-able.

@ Solsticesprite They probably won't make that particular item a minion because it's already wearable, but you could petition them to make a new item that is similar and also a minion.

The Vehnam Shrug would be a great minion to attach to a pet.

This should def be a minion. Obviously "alive". Kind of sad that anything "sentient" would only be a food. (Sad that anything sentient has a food option at all, but that's an issue for another day.)

It's a wearable, wearables cannot be minions.

The reasoning is that people would ask for their favorite minions to be made wearable, completely overloading artists with requests. Since near every minion is someone's favorite, we'd see months of nothing but minions being turned into wearables. And well, for people who like wigs and actually clothing and don't care about little animals, it would suck.

The other reason is that minions already have a collection of sorts via the zoo, just like beanbags and plushies aren't usually wearable, and books stopped being wearable eons ago.

We're better off hoping that we get a Son of Venham minion released someday, but the existing item isn't going to become a minion :)

Your reason makes sense for minions not becoming wearables, but doesn't seem to address the reason behind wearables not being able to become minions. :3 I agree that it'd be ridiculous to turn every minion into a wearable, but I doubt there are too many wearables with item images that look like minions? (Not to mention that the change in this direction involves no extra drawing, since the image is already complete.)

(Also, I'd actually prefer a new item as a minion without the animation... but a new item is a new item, with a new item ID and the like. I suppose I'm mostly not understanding the reasoning because it seems like it would be much less work to just add a classification to an existing item in this case, especially one that is not part of a true item collection (minion zoo doesn't function the same way that other collections do -- it's basically a glorified vault or gallery currently). It seems like the solution of "a new, similar item could get released" would be more work?)

The reason is that 99% of people don't know/care if something was a minion first or something was a wearable first. They're going to see a wearable minion and they're gonna be "I WANT THIS ONE TO BE WEARABLE TOO" and well, you don't want to create a precedent because well, the suggestions forum would be flooded with "WHICH MINION SHOULD BE WEARABLE NEXT".

Read, it doesn't matter if it was a wearable first and then a minion, or a minion first and a wearable later. They function the same for the average user.

Again, making a completely separate item would work because the precedent wouldn't be broken and people wouldn't whine about unfairness because their Tixel and Baby Recycle Beast and Beach Ball Minions can't be worn
