I hear ya about being tired. OMG, teaching BOTH in person AND streaming to eLearners is RIDICULOUS! Sorry, that was a lot of capital letters. I have maybe 90 minutes of downtime, Monday - Friday, where I am neither working nor getting ready to go to work.

I have some good news. My educator came so we were able to tackle the fridge... finally, oh goodness I've been waiting months for help! Removed everything, cleaned, threw out oh goodness me you had that for how many months no wonder it's moldy, organized/group things, moved shelves, and placed things in the new order as well as created an inventory. I came close to having a meltdown and winded up lying on the floor. She was a calming presence. I'll try the system for 2 weeks and we'll work on the kinks after. Now I have an area for things that need to be eaten quickly so I can check that out before looking elsewhere in the fridge :D I am happy, yep yep.

I washed the couch cover and blanket Gismo has fallen in love with... I have a blanket covering the couch temporarily, a small blanket covering his heating disc since I washed its cover, a larger blanket on top of him that he likes... so I was out of blankets to cover my legs and brought the freshly cleaned blanket to the couch. Now he's hogging that blanket as well! Snoring happily too :D It's not him... but gives a sense of what it was like and don't you dare try to get him to give one of the blankets up cuz it ain't a pretty sight!

I was talking with the dean and director the other day and they were lamenting the fact that they have nothing for me to teach in the spring. I was sad at first, but after working yesterday at my full-time job, I'm okay with not having to teach, grade, and chase down students for a whole semester!

OMG that smile on his face! He looks like he's in kitty heaven! I'm glad you got your fridge cleaned out and organized! I need to re-organize my desk area... it's a total disaster and not conducive to grading/teaching. I made a to-do list today to try and accomplish things that need to get done. I've crossed one off the list so far (filled the bird feeders). Two more are nearly done (laundry and cleaning the bathroom). The rest I need to tackle... hopefully, I won't lose steam!

was it your birthday earlier this week? I came online long enough to collect my bathhouse and train my pets and thought I saw a cake next to your name, but I was so tired I crashed before I could wish you a happy birthday!! If it wasn't, well, I must've dreamed about it :P

That wasn't Gismo... he doesn't sleep as composed, sprawled out paws dangling or in a ball usually.

It turns out the food bank didn't close because Montreal turned red (highest alert)... they have urgent repairs and can't have people working in the food distribution while renos are happening. In about a week they should have an idea of how long it will take. Luckily my parents' help makes a huge difference.

The residence had a bookshelf that was the "library". We had a bibliomobile (library on wheels) that would come once every few months but that ended with Covid. There was a donation of books from the expensive residence next door a while back. A resident donated bookshelves and now we have a larger "library". I've started to help the animator with the library. You never know when my master's degree can be useful :)

I won't be able to continue hiring the kid that helped with my gardening. No one from another household can be near another for 2 m outdoors chatting or the like. At least they didn't close the gardens & if it closes like usual we have it till the end of Oct. I'll do what I can and that's all I can do.

Good news... my request to have my garden certified has been granted. I won't write more than that for now since I'm waiting for certain things to happen.

Congrats on getting your garden certified! That's too bad that you no longer have help though. At least it's the end of the season. But I'm guessing that means it's up to you to get it ready for winter yourself.

I'm worried that COVID is going to rear its ugly head around here again... my students are trying desperately to get their externships completed before things lockdown again. Some are still way behind (which part of that is completely on them, others had no choice on where they ended up). I'm thankful that I only have 12 students to keep track of, but in the same vein, it's super challenging when they are all in different stages of completion and I need to keep it straight in my head lol!

That's cool about the library! And yay for parents! I miss mine :( But I get to be a good mom and help out my son. He's been going through a rough patch lately.

Closing a garden/prepping for next year is a lot of work; however, I've closed my gardens myself in previous years. I can do it!
