I like to use the zodiac rat spirit as my minion lab rat, because it is cheap and I am easily entertained :)

glad to find another stardew fan, I've actually been playing the mobile version but I'm a soon to be switch owner so I may have to start all over again. Unwelcome tenants might make things more interesting indeed! (mobile is just single player)

I've been doing the rest of the quests most days lately, because I haven't completed any of those achievements, and I like the prizes/profits, but so many of the drills quests are soooo fiddly :P lol I gotta force myself to do more of them though! :P

Last 3 days I've spent at my friend's cleaning & prepping for exterminator. Then he gets the "brilliant" idea of trying to unclog his toilet (plunger didn't work) with Hydrochloric acid... the fumes burned/irritated his nose, throat & lungs. He's better, but we really didn't need that extra adventure.

I'm taking a day off to recoup. Snuggling with Gismo now :)

Hi everyone! It's nice to read everyone's updates - I hope everyone is doing ok and those who have been struggling have found some relief.

I had a very busy work week (from home) and then we took advantage of the beautiful weather on Saturday to spend some time outside. It's cold and rainy again, but supposed to be nice tomorrow and over the weekend - I agree that we need some more consistent weather.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi :)

Hope everyone is ok. I do wear a mask at work and when I get done I go down to the basement to take off the cloths that I wear and put into wash and put coat into the dryer for a bit and then wash my exposed skin before going upstairs.

No, nothing from the job yet :( It took them longer to contact me for the second interview, so I'm hoping by tomorrow. It's been 3 weeks now. Otherwise, I might contact them and find out. With covid, their plans have been pushed back. They originally wanted to hire and get someone in by April, but during my first interview, they said it would be pushed to May or June. I think it'll be pushed to June now. I hope I get it. It's terrifying to start a new position when I'm so comfortable and settled in my current position. But with covid, corporate has taken to doing things that I'm not very happy with.

My hours got cut, and they are forcing us to take vacation. I've already told my supervisor I refuse to do that because 1) I only have a week and 2) if we take it, we are essentially "borrowing" vacation from them if we don't have enough, but it's not like we'll get it back, and 3) they've changed the policy from vacation rolling over to having to use it or lose it. So far, that hasn't affected me. My max is 120 hours. But people who had over that are not accumulating anymore. They didn't even give a notice saying "Hey, next month we are going to do this, so please use extra vacation." They sent out a memo and started enforcing it same day.

I tried applying for unemployment since my hours have been cut since Jan (we have to take mandatory 40 hours vacation Jan and Feb....bullshit,right?). I haven't work full time for more than 2 weeks sine Jan. It sucks. Anyway, when they got wind I applied for unemployment, it was a big deal and they aren't happy with me. Well too friggen bad! I have bills to pay. Yes, I'm still working and I'm lucky, but I still have lost wages, and I still have bills and rent and a dog that has frequent vet visits and insulin and syringes and a special diet. It all adds up!.
