Although when I tried those jeans on again, I didn't pull the waistband up to make it level, and that seemed to stop the legs looking twisted somehow o.O So I might be able to get away without needing to unpick them after all! :D

I don't think my Gran ever used double pointed needles (certainly there weren't any in the bag of needles I was given after she died).... but she was a whizz at knitting school sweaters and toys ;) 5-needle knitting looks complicated to me now, let alone when I was a child!! :P

I'm starting off with movies (if you couldn't tell lmao)) THis is from Child's Play. It's about a serial killer who is trapped inside a doll's body and goes around killing people and trying to steal the boy's, Andy, Body. It's the first horror movie I saw and scared me really bad lol I was way too young to see it but a babysitter had it.

I started the 'proper' jeans this afternoon, and nearly broke a sewing needle 😊 the embroidered stitches on the cord are so dense that the sewing needle is struggling to get through them :K so this is going to be one gigantic nightmare to sew! grumbles

Gran always seemed to knit hoodies for me (before they were fashionable) - I've got a little bit of the yarn she used to knit one, but I've never known what to make from it (there's not much left, and I didn't want to mess it up, as it felt like a special thing I wanted to keep).

I'm about 50% I think, so getting there... It hasn't been fun :/ I do have some happy news for myself though. I called and complained to Amazon. The tablet case I ordered was to be shipped and arrive from 8-10 of September, but it hasn't shipped yet. How can it arrive on the 8th if it hasn't shipped? So -giggles gleefully- they gave me $5 gift on my account. I'm going to get this cute glasses/pen holder on our next order which will be on mum's payday and it'll only cost us 1.99 XD

Yeah, I'm going to take some of the fabric into the shop I bought my machine from in the hope they can tell me the best needles to use..... otherwise I won't be making any jeans from it :K

I didn't keep much of it, but that particular yarn was one I recognised (it's a kind of white base with a few other colours mixed in, and a shiny thread running through it) so I had to keep that one ;)

Yeah, I've bent a needle on the machine before, and it wasn't a pretty sight! I know it's possible for the needle to snap if it's hits the foot when the machine is working, so I'm extra wary of that happening with this cord fabric! 😊

No way near enough for a shawl, but I might see if I can find some similar yarn one day, so I could add the bit I have left of Gran's yarn into it, and make a bigger project ;)
