-hugs- Thank you! <3 :* OH I see how that is, you have no siblings then, I take it? Sorry if I should know this and just don't remember (I swear you told me once but forgot). -hangs head- But it must be fun to have K to spoil! :D
OH my goodness that second bag of toothless or his gf (I don't know her name) is priceless. I would totally want to make that one! lol They both look so good though! The red or green dragon will be cool too! When I was little my school mascot was a green dragon.

I really really extremely want:
I did the left leg's surgery today. Bit zone-y-outy today LOL. Valium and Vicodin lol fun mix. I kinda feel half here and half--stoned. It wasn't as painful this time, thank god! I took the meds a little earlier than I had before. So mostly it was the shots to numb it that I felt and just at the start of the scalpel but it felt way less painful than the first leg. Got a purple cast. Might do red next cast if they have that. Leg is hurting now, hoping my pain meds kick even though I took 'em at 5
Ambition No it's fine. I remembered but not the date in may. Plus I understand wanting to have a special day to yourself. -snugs- Happy BIRTHDAY to you! :* Imma gonna look for a gift. Bit wavy lol so we'll see if I manage. It's taking me a lot to manage five minutes before I kinda lose focus for 10 minutes. LOL
paddy it did mostly. Very spacey/out of it today.
Lene: they are expensive here too and painful with elastic pulling on the ear.
such a good mummy :*
-hugs tightly- You are so thoughtful. I hope you take care of your healing and resting! I hope you begin to feel better and heal; quickly. <3
Thank you! ^^

I really really extremely want:yeah, I'm a single child ;) and I doubt I'd ever mentioned that before laughs And yep, I knew that if our Gran was still around, she'd be knitting things for him like crazy (she knitted hoodies for me when I was K's age), so I figured that seeing as I can sew, I'd take over the "making things for a kid" thing ;)
I think the Toothless one would be a lot easier to make, and possibly the pocket part is bigger on that one too ;) If it doesn't work, I'll just leave off the straps and send it to him as a toy with a secret pocket laughs That was a neat school mascot! :D
hopefully you had a good night, and today you feel a little more 'with it' squishes :)

Those are some very fun medications for sure. Must be kinda freaky having the stoned feeling if you are not used it I imagine. Hope for speedy recovery. :huggles: Spent the day at my mums today. We had a lil barbeque and went for short walk. Was nice. Now Pusur is flopped over on my lap as I type with his nose dug into the nook of my arm like he loves to do. I never met a cat this sweet natured and affectonate, is it any wonder I will do what I can for him? lol
I have seen people make an extension thingy so that the mask doesnt pull on the ear. But yup, mask can be a bit uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time.
You got about a month then at least. :) Its not as easy maybe if you want to keep it a surprise and have to be sneaky about making them? :) I still havent started on my mums slippers. :blushes: now its near summer tho, so I guess no rush anymore? 👼 Yup! I love following my team. Its not the same as being at the stadium and taking in the atmosphere.. but fun none the less. :)

thankfully dad doesn't really pay much attention to what I'm making ;) and Mum knows what her bag will look like, because I had to show her the pattern so she could decide on which pattern I should use :P but I'm going to try and hide the actual bag from her until her birthday at least ;)
laughs well if you start now, then you might have them done in plenty of time to give them to her for Christmas? ;)
That's true, I've never seen a match at a stadium, but I can imagine the atmosphere is totally different if you're actually there, rather than just watching it on a screen! A few years ago, I did say I'd pay for Dad to watch the local (literally less than a mile from here so he could walk to their pitch :P) non-league soccer team play (but he's still not actually got around to going to a match), but I don't know when they'll be allowed to go back playing yet, as they don't count as a professional team so they have to wait longer.

I did thanks. But still extremely tired.
aww you sweetie -snuggles- i'm zoning today but will recover I'm sure lol.
lol yes. Its odd for sure.that sounds like a great day with a kitty snuggling at the end <3
Hope you make sure to get plenty of rest this weekend. :) I have housechores.. other thant that. Not many plans. xD
Sounds like you will be fine then. :D
That is an idea.. the slippers just might end up under the christmas tree this year, judging by how slow I am at getting started on them. lol Ooops. :D
Hehe.. sounds like it would be fun for him to go sometime. :) My dad brought me with him to matches from when I was just a little girl, so its kinda in my blood and a family thing. Except for my mum, she never cared about sports, but would still go on occation to watch people. ;)

hopefully the tiredness will have worn off a bit more by today squishes How're you getting on with the cast, given that you know more of what to expect now? (not sure if the second leg makes it easier because you know what stages you go through with getting back to normal, or if it makes it harder knowing what comes next??) ;)
laughs but then that'd be perfect weather to start wearing those slippers - it'd be a bit silly giving them to her in mid summer 😇
^^ that's part of dad's Father's Day shirt - I couldn't resist livening up the inside with some multicoloured thread laughs
I can't work on any more of that today (Mum wants to use the room this afternoon), but at least it's at a point where I can hang it on my wardrobe door rather than needing to fold it and put it back in a bag ;)
Dad always used to go and watch a league team play (their pitch is about 20 miles from here, but it was his local team when he was a child and his dad always supported them), but it's not really practical for him to go and watch their matches now (he'd have to get the bus to the train station, then a train, then a bus to the football ground) so he just watches their matches on Sky tv laughs

Exactly. 👼 I still have that granny square blanket that I started too. lol I think working on those cat mittens put me of knitting/crocheting for a while. lol
That is a fun fabric. :D I am sure he will love it. :)
At least he can follow his team on telly then. :D The nice thing is that you dont have to freeze (games here can get pretty cold when we get near October (the season usually ends sometime in October and start in March/April). :)

hehe I'm not surprised, given how intricate those mittens looked! You did an amazing job of making those though :D
(drag to the address bar to see the full size image)
^ I tried to make the pocket as invisible as possible :D I had to use a darker blue for the collar and sleeves, because I bought this fabric in the sale and of course they didn't quite have enough for me to make the whole shirt from it :P Mum reckons I should make a little folded hanky square to go in the pocket (just for decoration, not to be used :P) ;)
I can imagine it gets quite chilly watching an evening game in particular! But at least they don't play in the depths of winter ;) Over here the season normally ends in May, then starts again in August - although nobody knows yet how it's going to work with which teams get promoted to the next division, and which get relegated down ;)

Thankies. :D It looks like you did a great job with the shirt. :D A hankysquare would be a nice touch and I reckon a lot simpler to make than a shirt!
Yup, for some matches we can get closer to freezing temps, so you just put on as much clothes as possible. lol They used to have heatlamps, but those stopped working. Annoyingly enough. lol That is a long football season. :) Our players get a bit of a summer break, but only for like 2 weeks. lol

Cute HA today!
OK the toy with the secret pocket part sounds like the coolest toy ever. Honestly, when I was a kid I ALWAYS loved things with secret pockets or hidden compartments. :D SO Either way it turns out, it'l be awesome. :D
I love that you took over for your gran, it is such a cool tradition! Also that multi-colored thread is still my favorite!
-tight hugs- I hope you are still getting better and stronger. <3

I really really extremely want:I am getting rest for sure. I wound up eith a 2 hour nap. Which is a huge deal for me. I rarely sleep that long. But i guess i needed it. Actually I needed 2 naps. It's crazy lol.
Hope the chores go well.
lol not really. I had another 2 hour nap. And really could've used another one. I guess my body wants sleep. It s similar to the old one so I feel like I have a handle one it better than last one. But I think I'm swelling more. Keeping it elevated as best i can. It's! Little tight. But I think im walking better today. I was going to skip pain meds tonight but maya was being! Best and jumped on my leg so now I'm up waiting for the med's kick in so I can sleep. I thinkonce all I know what to expect. Funny thing is I kinda have a bit of remorse having done it. Which is crazy as I know this will be best for me and there's no going back lol but ir still happened. Crazy I know. Im really not upset and kind of relived its over and I can heal and move on.
trying to. How are you.
thanks :d And yeah, if I have enough of the blue fabric left over, I might make it into a triangle so he doesn't have to bother folding it to make it look 'fancy' in the pocket ;)
That seems crazy that the heatlamps stopped working and they never replaced them! Ours get breaks in between those times (they get time off over Christmas / New Year as well), but that seems to be the standard length of time overall ;)
thanks! :D K's shirt arrived yesterday, and his Mum sounds pleased with it - she said she's waiting for him to "have an occasion to wear it" .... so I did point out that she shouldn't feel she has to save it for best ;) hehe I admit I am hooked on using multicoloured thread ;) I used a similar one on my jeans before, and it really livened up what would normally be quite boring stitching ;)
naps are good though squishes Hopefully the swelling won't seem as bad today, but that sounds positive on the walking :d Did Maya calm down in the end? ;) I kind of know what you mean - I guess maybe it's knowing that it's meant your legs are 'normal' rather than being 'unique' which would take a bit of getting used to for anyone! ;)

Oh yes, how cute! Maybe she will let him wear it for school when it start back up again? :D Yes multi-colored thread really is the best. I wish I had all my jeans with it. :P
I am doing really well actually. I have the same migraines but my little sister came to surprise visit me this weekend and I really missed her. I have not seen her in over a year so it was much needed. <3 It was a super happy surprise to be visited by her this weekend! :D

I really really extremely want:You obviously needed the rest. :) Hope your weekend has been good. :)
You can make hankerchiefs too, if you guys use that. :)
It was too expensive to replace them I suppose, They did help a lot during those late season games. ;) I will still go to support my team tho. :) Premier League is a huge deal, compared to our leagues. Doesnt even compare when it comes to the money involved etc. lol

he has a school uniform to wear (which was part of the reason I think he likes wearing button-up shirts as the school uniform has a polo shirt so it looks more casual), but I have a feeling maybe she meant she was planning on him wearing it when they go on holiday (which of course may or may not happen, as usually they'd go overseas for a couple of weeks). It's surprising how much difference some multi-coloured thread can make on that, especially when you use it for the back pocket design as well ;) I still need to get on and work out some stitching on the jeans I finished ages ago (I don't like the hand stitching on the pocket, so I want to unpick that and start over), but so far I've not quite got the confidence to get on and do it! :blush@
After Grandad would always insist on using a proper handkerchief, Mum said no way was she ever going to wash one of those, so we always use paper tissues laughs :P That makes sense, especially with not being a premier league team!

Yeah, but I didn’t really want to sleep so long. Like today’s nap was like 4 hours. O.0 Eventually, around 4.30am. She’s feisty lol. Yeah and knowing you have to go through recovery. It’s also a little worrying that Mum’s not feeling well and has a fever and chills. I can’t get sick right now so that’s making it complicated. I am on antibiotics.
Good! I’m glad to hear this :D Morale is important. Glad she could come. Hope the migraines calm.
Yeah I guess so. My nap today was like 4 hours lol. It’s been fine. Yours?
Gotta love a long nap. xD Doing alright here.. heading out for a walk in a bit. Have to get some laundry done as well. Joy. xD
Haha.. growing up we always had hankerchiefs, but now we just use the paper tissues as well. :)
:nods: Makes sense, but I still wish they would get new heaters tho. lol
