I was late to discovering HP too. :) And got a box set for cheap-the first 4 or 5 books? I am not sure. Still have the bookset., but want full bookset in english tho- as I hate the norwegian translation. :P

I wanted to have all my HP books looking the same, but I ended up with three hardback books, so they were never going to match in the end :P I can imagine the translations never really get the feel of the series ;)

Same here.. it kinda bugs me that they dont look the same. :P I might order a full english box set and just give away the old ones. ;) Thankfully I like the translation of Nevermoor- was worried about that, and debated getting the english copy. I have a feeling fantasy is a tricky genre to translate really. :)

I figured in the end that I could just make a cover for each one if I wanted them to look the same - if I used the same fabric, then they'd match ;)

Hehe.. you might even be able to find some HP fabric.. or at least the right colours for the different houses.. ;)

hehe actually, I came across a HP themed toy pattern the other day - not only the witch's hat and a scarf for each house, but the toy animal pattern for each house as well ....really tempting to make Mum a badger, seeing as the local badgers woke her up the other night, raiding our food waste bin (who knew that not only could they learn how to open it, but that they also like eating raw sausages!) but I don't know if she'd find that amusing :P

A knitted Gryffindor scarf would look awesome! It'd need a lot of patience though, if it was as long as those ones in the films! ;)

she actually said the next time she has sausages to go in the food waste, she'll put it out next to the bin and sit by the window with her camera to take a photo of the badger ;) I think she prefers it doing that, instead of using the back garden as a toilet!
