The bedspread I did for my younger son was black, white and varying shades of gray variegated. I did one just like it for older son, but it was shades of blue and white variegated. You sound prepared to crochet the time away.

We had sunshine but it was cold, so kept busy inside crocheting and watching one of the Harry Potter movies. But going to visit son on thursday in Virginia, and its colder where him and his wife live. Last week we went to Houston, Texas to see younger son and his wife.

In my home state (Montana, USA) a national park called, Yellowstone national park is located in 1988. There was a fire that burned 128747.52 KM/80,000 miles. it took a lot to put it out. So I have some understanding how much it takes to fight it and get it out. It can take so much resources and man power to fight it. I know the firefighters are way beyond tired.

Yes the firefighters must be exhausted beyond belief. They are wonderful are are the volunteers. All put their life on the line to help others.

On a lighter note, Yogi lives in Yellowstone or did he have to relocate after the fires?

oh yes - rain would be just the thing. Do you have to wear anything over your mouth or is the air quality safe? I have a friend in the Philippines and there is a lot of ash over there so they cover their mouths with those surgical mask because the air isn't good to breathe due to that volcano eruption.

I make cards with rubber stamps and color them in with watercolor. I don't have much imagination to draw things myself :)

we have firefighters that are volunteers, but most of them its their job. I heard some of them were sent to help fight the fires there.

No clue where Yogi and Boo-boo went with all those picnic baskets, this time of year probably hibernating in a cave some where.

I have no artist talent in the way of painting or drawing. Children/adult coloring books are more my speed. I can just color in the lines, LOL.

I am a Que Sera Sera person, whatever will be will be. People are wearing masks here, people are complaining that they are coughing and sneezing because of the smoke. Yes some may be having a problem but honestly I think if you are well and healthy then the little smoke around here is not an issue.

Yes some of your firefighters have made their way here. Not sure where. 5 volunteers have died. No paid ones and thousands are volunteering to help.

I am glad they went, but not very happy they didnt go sooner and get a head of all the fires. I hope your a big distances anyway from any area burning or burnt.

Unfortunately, the smoke will affect people with allergies. My allergies were so bad about 2011-2012, that I had to see an allergist. I was told to stay away from any form of smoke even a BBQ or cigarettes. I did drive through an area that had a wild fire a week before I drove through. I coughed about 8 KM before I got near the burnt area, and about the same distances after the burnt area. So I feel real bad for anyone near the fire and smoke that have health issues.

that is how I color but I love doing it and with the stamps, I can make pretty watercolor backgrounds and stamp over them. I also use alcohol inks to do the same.

just don't ruin your lungs, cuz once you do, they never recover. I know you know your body :)

Sporadic rain. Thunder and near gale winds. Not that good so far.

All that yarn and potential mix of colors inspires me to crochet. Well if there is a rain dance you know of, I would do it. No matter how it looked. Maybe play this song will inspire tha rain to fall all over Australia.

Hi! I’m here! I missed a lot, starting with Thanksgiving, all because of IRL. I mostly missed out on Luminaire and New Years. I hope you all forgive your little weasel-girl for that faux pas, I’ll never catch up it seems.

I’m getting ready for bed and sipping cocoa. Welly stirred up the fire in the stove for the evening and blew out the oil lamps. We’re pretty tired. But we have joy in our hearts and lots of love despite the rough times we’ve been through. We’ll snuggle down under a mountain of blankets and comforters, for its cold up here, and spend the day tomorrow inside, it looks like snow again.
