HI Family is doing fine, in preparation for younger son's wedding in October. I talked to hand doc, we are going to try and get left hand done in January.

Yes i got a cortisone shot to see if that would work and it did.Wow what a relief. :) No surgery yet.Now i need a tooth filling.I had one tooth crumble so i will wait and get it done in Russia. Wow a wedding. Yay.... celebrations... And the surgery for your hand so soon.That's good news too.You're ok?

Piece of info considering cortisone shots. Example; 3 are the maximum you should get. I got 3 in my right thumb joint, which can thin the skin after the first two shots. Which makes it a bit more difficult for surgeon during repair surgery. Which I was told today.

Definite good news to me, my left hand's whole thumb is painful with every activity I do. I dread surgery, but I cant take my hand in this condition. I know what to expect so that makes it easier to deal with this time around.

I know that it can affect bones too. so i just got one shot and it seems to have remedied the numbness i felt through my whole arm right to my fingers.It was like that for 3 months and i got no sleep because of these sensations. I think so.We'll give it a try once i'm there. :)

My thoughts exactly, hence why I had foot issue since 2014. Which caused serious displacement of the metatarsal bone (biggest bone near your ankle coming from the direction of your big toe, which they had to move the bone and put in a titanium nail to hold it in place). I wish I would have done something when it initially happened. Which is why I am being so pro-active about my hands, besides being very painful to do normal day activity. Ten days after hand surgery no more carpal tunnel pain, or pain the base of the thumb joint. I am dreading next surgery as much as I am also looking forward to my hand not hurting me so much.

Get rid of as much pain as possible.I live with back pain and pills.Off to do online school.
