I would check Facebook maybe they have a place to ship food and Med supplies to Laurie and her tribe. Laurie is a member of the Sioux tribe that has been protesting against pipeline on their tribal land in North Dakota for about 2 years. The tribe needs all the help they can get.

I wonder how some people can look themselves in the mirror and still say they're a good person. I was watching some videos on YouTube about people calling the police on black people who are just going about their business, not acting suspicious or anything, but just because they're black. There's this one about some woman who won't let this man come into his apartment building, asking is he a resident (what business is it of hers?), what unit does he live in (she followed up in the elevator where he went into the unit-then called the police on him), she feels "uncomfortable" (uncomfortable because he can afford a unit in the same building she lives in?) and that's just one of them!! Some people have a BRASS nerve, won't say a word when they see someone being verbally abused, but let a black man try to come into their building, then they get vocal!!

some people are just ignorant and missing out on meeting a possible great friend. I was lucky with hubby’s job I have met people from all over the world and all walks of life. I was raised don’t judge people on their appearance, treat people like a book read a few chapters and get to know them.

I have been on the receiving end of judgemental people. I figure if they want to be judge me at first look, that’s their lose.

I very much like and appreciate that I have FINALLY gotten to the point that the people I don't like or respect, that their opinions of me no longer matter to me. However, I am sad that it's taken 50 years to get here! I wish I could have shrugged it off as easily when I was in high school!!

high school is heck, go to a reunion you will see how the mighty have fallen. I had a friend who I didn’t know was gay, and she was afraid to go to 30 year reunion. Because she didn’t come how to me until they were working on reunion on Facebook. She told me/ I guessed from pictures. I told her who cares go, she did and happy she did.

I went into military and got away from small town small minds, and developed mind set. You don’t take care of me and mine, You judgement doesn’t count.

she feared judgement so much, I told her. Most of us aren’t the same people we were in high school. I told her, she accepted me at face value in high school and it meant the world. Most the kids look at me and my sisters as poor welfare trash and my parents were divorce. Small town with small judgemental minds.

My mom and her brothers and sisters were the poor kids who played in the junkyard and barely wore shoes!! So I totally get it-my stepdad was a great provider, so I didn't grow up poor, we weren't rich but we had enough. But mom taught us not to look down on those people who didn't have as much as we did. Your friend sounds like an awesome person, especially back in high school-very mature and caring!!

My Mom never remarried and she taught myself and my sisters, to be strong women and independent. Well I had to bend that thought pattern, while recouping from foot and hand surgery since March. Just drove me crazy though. Be back later off to read

Hey girlfriend!! How're you doing today? You'll never guess what I did last night big fake smile! I managed to scratch my cornea in my sleep-Whaaaaatttttt? Sometimes I JUST have to say W H A T E V E R! Fortunately it doesn't hurt really bad, not like if you scratch your cornea with fingernail (been there, kid did it-shakes head), but it's a little irritated and weepy. So that was my day-LOL-top that for weird;)

well a couple of years ago it’s a miracle I didn’t do that. I was put on niacin by dr, didn’t know I can’t take more than what is in a multivitamin. For the possible reaction no one should take it and go to bed , as instructions on prescription say. Niacin can cause hives and swelling in your throat. Well first night followed instructions and went to bed, mind I have long fingernails. I woke up scratching my face, from hives. I thought I was just hot from room. So second night took it again, but didn’t go to bed, and had same reaction. Geez I could have scratched my face bad and never mind I am lucky throat didn’t swell shut.

Man O'Monday!! You are lucky you didn't do that, or have those scratches get infected! I tell you what when you think about all that can go wrong, you gotta wonder sometimes how we made it this far and how so many of us have survived as long as we have. I'm watching Barney Miller on tv, you remember that show? It's still as funny now as it was-God 44 years ago-Lord I just made myself feel old! And a darn sight better than 90% of the trash that's on tv now!!

. I went to the cardiologist yesterday for my year check up after my surgery and the news I got was....drumroll .... .... .... ....... ..... .... ... Very good I am getting a clean bill of health my blood pleasure and breathing are very good blood pressure was perfect and it has been for a while now I have blood pressure machine so I check it everyday
