Yeah, I wonder if it varies depending on how many pets you have. I only have 4 pets, so for me it will probably take all of them (or maybe even more), I'll find out soon once I can battle with them to get their HP down.

Well it worked when I did all 4, but I forgot to check if it worked with only 2 or 3 oops. I put a solution in the challenger guide, but left it a bit vague still since I'm not sure exactly what determines how many you need...

I think its probably like half or something, because it didn't work when I only had 5 fainted. Then I got frustrated and did all of them lol. (I have 17)

@ Laurey I have 16 pets, 17 slots I tried with 5 then 8 and nothing, got him at 11 I think, I wasn't paying complete attention though

I've got 8 pets, and 7 didn't cut it for unlocking him. He demanded the blood of all 8 as tribute.

My best guess is there's a minimum number of pets you have to have K.O.'d, and after that there might be a percentage or curve for determining how many must fall to his insatiable lust for the blood of pets and family.

I'm a bit concerned that people are wandering around with a lot of K.O.'d pets just as their normal routine...

It might be 10 for Gunter. I have 42 pets and it worked after I checked when 12 were KO'd.

It could be something like people with fewer than 10 pets need to have all of them with 0 health, but people with more than 10 just need some percentage. Or maybe the cutoff is higher than 10, but something similar, that way people with like 60 pets or something don't need to work through all of them.

oh, i totally forgot about this when i bought this a bit ago but if you don't yet have the witch with the oven (impossible challenger), her unlock is super cheap right now -- only 9m! she's a steal, lmao. (i guess it's 'cause her unlock isn't wearable or anything?)
