i have 39 pets right now, and i didn't get the event until i had 10 at 0 hp (fought with nine, turns out one i got out of the pound last night was also 0 hp). i think it's probably knock out 10 pets to get him to challenge you? now i need to figure out who gets these damn stat eggs.

someone got impatient about sales and other people followed suit? it has no other uses (not a background, not a food, etc), so it's only for access to an impossible challenger, which probably doesn't interest a whole lot of people, i dunno how many t12/t13s are out there. (widowmaker can't even fight her right now tbh but it's way better than paying 250 csc, so i wasn't gonna pass up A Sweet Deal :p )

Yeah, going to guess that because it's an imp challenger not many people want it and it also doesn't drop a consumable (book/plushie/whatever). So probably one person put it at that price and then others followed suit.

This is even worse than deleting minions IMO. My poor pet's 100% records! (0 losses out of 0 battles, lol)

Ah - that makes sense - I wound up trying mine one at a time because I didn't really want to kill poor Scutey in the first ever battle. Oh well. :-)

- I now have five pets and checked with each one. For me it took all five.

This was physically painful to throw my other pets into battles and have them do nothing. It took me 10 pets, and just refreshing on the Brewery page wasn't doing it, I had to return to Veta and then click back into the Brewery before Gunter appeared.

MrCool's guide recommends it for Tier 9+ pets, but it would probably also depend on what weapons you have to block its icons. It does a lot of water, and looks like a decent amount of earth and wind as well ( I had to refresh my memory since I tend to stop paying attention to what opponents do once I can beat them easily ;~; ).

hmm...maybe I can do it at tier 8 with a pirate cutlass then, that's helpful thanks!

Is there a guide for pet builds (should I even bother with HP at some point, what is a good overall build, a good build for the top opponents, etc.)?

LOL Be sure to have your pets get beaten up (0HP) before going to see the bearded drunk... XD 10 pets seems to be the magic number.

I have only done 3 pets so far -- and it took 12 or 13 to be KO'd for the Ol' Gunny Sack to care...

But what's a few more battles against ParaRB with a T2 weapon set? lol

I think most people focus on hp and strength.
