The lag is bad and images sometimes take forever when you're hovering to preview them (the wardrobe is also taking forever to load)

I suppose this is lag related? The site loading speed seems fine, but forum posts are taking a long long time. I posted a reply to a forum thread 13 minutes ago and it still hasn't shown (it does appear in my recent posts page, though.)
There were some issues with forum posts related to other upgrades we attempted earlier today!
Pinging since entire forums were affected for a couple hours this morning.
The issues were with forum cache which means:
- Posts would not show up after being made
- You may have received pings or seen "recent posts", but when you clicked on them, you can't find the post
These issues are now resolved, so new posts should show up correctly right away.
Making a new post on a forum thread will cause all older posts to show up correctly. Posts from this morning that got stuck will show up when new posts are made to the same topic.

I noticed this and was wondering what was going on. Thanks for fixing this problem.
Earlier, the site started lagging pretty badly. We discovered the Shoutbox was causing this.
The Shoutbox was closed by staff, and we noticed immediate improvement. The Shoutbox will remain closed until we're able to resolve this issue. <3
[edit] I'm taking the site down for a few minutes to address some remaining lag!

Hey everyone - I just took the site down for a few minutes to do some brief maintenance on the forums, since I noticed a lot of forum topics were struggling to load. They should be better now. <3
