Totally agree with that philosophy. I'm pretty sure that, despite the frustrations, the battlers working for ten wins on Paramnesia Recycling Beast are actually having fun. In fact the two Paramnesia challengers were specifically released when they raised the cap so that the highest tier pets would have something to battle against. Many of them were finding the lack of challenge in other opponents boring and were asking for more difficult challengers. I have a good battle friend who recently got 10 wins on Paramnesia Recycle Beast with his newly capped main battle pet. He did work extremely hard and said it was the most difficult thing he's done on Subeta, but that it also made him feel prouder of himself than anything he'd done in all his years of battling. Guess it's all in your point of view. And we all have different likes and dislikes. :-)

Thanks! I've been trying to visit at least once an hour or so when I can, usually twice if I remember to. I haven't been kicked out so far, just go like every 20-30 minutes or so if you can.

Also is the snowboarding stuff tonight? I saw some of last night's women's halfpipe event with Chloe Kim, I thought I saw that the men's final is tonight (at least in US time, it's really like Wednesday morning in South Korea).

It's usually better to wait when the veggies are in season. They often taste better (less watery). By then, the snow will have melted so if the car continues to have issues you might be able to walk to the grocery store ;) Or take the bus... hopefully you can reach one eventually since it's important to get food. If bringing back large quantity of food is an issue, many stores have delivery. Another option is if a store is nearby, go a few times rather than get everything at once. I usually use a personal shopping cart (folds up nicely) to get things; however, if the streets are too problematic I use a backpack and reusable bag. There's a grocery store near the metro station I use so sometimes I stop there since it's easy to get to. There's another that's a long street block away from me, I can either walk it or grab the bus and get off at the next stop (useful when I'm iller or sidewalks are a problem). There are a few good & cheaper stores I have to use the bus and they're further away, those I normally use the cart and wait for good weather conditions. There are some places you can call, place an order & have it delivered. It costs extra; however, you don't even have to set foot outside your home if needed. I don't do that as I can't afford the extra fee; however, it's nice if you can.

No problem, you can do that - just not against the really top end battle challengers. LOL

As for Blackheart Hollow - there is a fixed number of times that you can visit BHH each hour before you're kicked out. After that you need to wait an hour to go back - and if you're kicked out you can also go back an hour later and start again. To find the exact number just go to BHH and count how many times you can visit before you're thrown out. That number doesn't change so you will then know how often to refresh each hour. You can do it all at once on that single page, but I find that spreading it out just a little (like BHH visit, play Blackout,- BHH visit - go to Crypts ...) seems to give a little better chance of finding something there. Trying to watch the replay of it :( missed it live when I was dealing with the car. The guy at the auto place was a total jerk. They are suppose to go out to your car and check out what is wrong with it. I asked this guy to do that and he said "I really don't want to go out there" so I told him nevermind (I was so shocked) and he said "I'll do it but I am just not enthusiastic about it" ugh! Then he didn't seem to have any clue what he was doing. Idiot!

It is really difficult to get anyone I know to do anything for us :(

That's annoying. Why even work there if you don't seem to care about the job at all? I mean, I know sometimes we take jobs we don't like, but for special skill jobs like that you should at least kind of like it and know what you're doing if you're going to do that job...

I know. Especially when you have to deal with customers like me who are already stressed out and worried about their car (and how much it will cost to fix)! He was no help at all :(

Sometimes it's tough to depend on people... can't, too busy, too tired, etc. They have their own lives & their priorities. When you can't get help from people paid for a job then that's different. I'd call the company up and make a complaint. However, I'm a fighter... right now I'm fighting the company that provides the helper (bed, bath, cook). They increased the hourly fee by $1, minimum 3 hrs each visit & I need help every 2 weeks. There are laws and they broke them... they are trying to say any and everything to get out of following the laws. I've been at this since Fri, contacting various government agencies, the company itself, etc. The issue is still not resolved; however, my social worker is going to deal with them on my behalf (I was not making progress and the top person in the organization was aggressive with me over the phone.) My social worker will help find a reasonable answer; however, we're gearing up for a good fight. It's not the first or the last time I've fought not just for me but for others that are affected & who do not speak up. It can be long & tiring so it's not for everyone; however, sometimes you can get good things come out of it. I managed to get a few free furniture pieces that way :D Granted, it would be nice if people & companies behaved properly from the start... however it's not the case.

I can understand that people have their own lives, but when you rarely ask for anything from this person (but would drop everything for them) and all they have to do is drive down the street and spend 5 minutes jump starting your car it shouldn't be that much of a hassle for them :(

I am not going to bother fighting with the guy. I have enough problems. I am just going to take my car somewhere else!

2 of my cousins (sisters that live on the same street) live 15 min away by car & they both have cars. 1 has never visited my new apart or shown any interest in spending time with me & the other on the one hand complains I should tell her more/wants to help & on the other when I ask for help can't, too tired too busy. My aunt that lives 30 min away sometimes can help but often can't. She has a mother-in-law with dementia, health issues, works, etc. I leave messages and sometimes it can take her 2 weeks before giving me a call... just pick up the phone, not even come over! When my grandpa was near death, it was my father, living 2 hrs away that was the only one that offered to come get me & even had to make an extra long detour & this was after a very long day of driving.

People have different values and morals than us. Just because we're raised a certain way doesn't mean others are or they'll continue to behave that way when they are on their own.

If you want to try your niece again, go in person when she's there and ask her to her face to come... tougher to say no then.

At least you have the option of going elsewhere to pay someone. Have you thought of getting AAA (American Automobile Association)? The Canadian one provides jump starts, bringing your car to a garage, etc. There are various levels of coverage & fees. Perhaps get the lowest & ask Emily's father to pay for it or 1/2 if possible to benefit her. When I used a scooter it was one of the rare places that was willing to tow 2 wheeled vehicles.

It'll be interesting to see the strain developments on your HA ;) I've designed a survival HA to hide everything so I can easily swap skins to bite :K
