They haven't been opened just yet. They'll probably open once winter officially starts on the 21st, because those activities last all winter long not just during Luminaire. :)

A few days ago, I had a whole post typed out and then I closed the wrong tab facepalm I felt so stupid. Chris loves Star Wars and has read most of the books, but he's an ebook fan. I think he has 4 Star Wars hardback books, the rest are ebooks. He has a hard time sitting and reading an actual book but he can fly through ebooks. I've got all the Harry Potter books and any book pertaining to HP, then I've got a lot of LOTR books. I think right now I have 5 bookcases filled with books and numerous boxes of books in storage. Yeah, I think she does too, but I'm not sure what all the issues are either. When Chris and I first started dating she told him right in front of me that she didn't want him to get married until after he was 21 because she felt like she made a mistake by getting married young. Gee, thanks.....that's a great thing to say in front of the girlfriend. Saturday there is an extended family Christmas gathering for one side of Chris's family. I haven't decided if I'm going yet because I'm catching a ride with my brother-in-law to the Christmas party for Chris's grandpa that happening later the same day. At the extended gathering, they have each family going around and share what's happened during the year. I'm worried that if I'm not there my MIL will share too much info about Chris's deployment, like the exact camp he's at or how long he's been gone. But then if I do go, I'll have to either suffer through getting asked the same questions or be seen as a b***h if I stand in front of the room and tell people that I'm tired of the questions and they won't get the answers to those questions due to OPSEC and me being a stickler about it. I try to avoid sick people too because colds hit me hard. I'm always tired for the first few days and have zero energy while also not being able to breathe through my nose. I used to always lose my voice when I got a cold and that's kind of started again. It never fails, Chris can come home from drill with a cold, I'll tell him I don't want it, yet a couple days later, I'm sick. I'll admit, I have fallen asleep during a Star Wars movie once, but I was at home and really tired. I also fell asleep during an Indiana Jones movie. In college, it wasn't easy for me to stay awake after 9 if I was trying to watch a movie, but I could stay up late to play a video game or work on a class project.

I could use some faeries. I think I'm almost halfway done with the achievement.

I am not sure how many books I have. They are scattered all over the place right now lol. Well he did get married, and now she needs to accept that and move on. It is sad that you have to go and babysit her to make sure she doesn't say anything. Why does she even want to give out all his info? I can't imagine doing that. I hate being sick. I rarely catch colds, but when I do I get hit hard. I have never fallen asleep at the movies, but it probably has more to do with me not wanting to snore in public lmao! I didn't know you needed fairies. I will save mine up for you and make some trades when I get a few of them.

I don't have an exact count on my books. I get most of mine from thrift stores. I'll typically buy a book if it looks interesting or if it's part of a series I already have. The only time I buy a book brand new is if I can't wait around to find it used, like the Robert Langdon series or J.K. Rowling's crime series. I went through and purged my shelves once years ago, donating a couple boxes of books that I never got around to reading or lost interest in. Exactly, she needs to accept that two of her sons got married and she needs to take her mom role down a notch. I got so upset at the start of this deployment because she signed Chris up for all the free care packages that some businesses do and was the one to send him his first care package. She was telling other people at a anniversary celebration that she had just sent off a big care package. So I'm left thinking great, another thing you can brag about, because I had been too busy working to go shopping for things to put in a package. It's even sadder when I have to babysit her facebook page and my FIL's as well. It's the same reason she and her husband have their facebook profile pictures set to 'proud mother/father of a deployed soldier', to show off their pride and show how supportive they are. Yet they don't realize that that can make them and me easy targets for the people who are looking for that info to share with people that want to harm troops. I just hope that they actually read over the OPSEC rules that I shared with them at the start of the deployment after they violated OPSEC. I can't even imagine giving out that info either. Everytime I answer a question related to the deployment, I'm choosing my words carefully so I don't give away specific information. It seems like colds hit me harder every year. Yesterday I helped move cattle again for about an hour. By the time I got home, I was so shaky it was hard to hold a fork (I decided I needed a second breakfast) and I didn't have the energy to walk around. I took a nap and didn't feel any better after. Went to bed early, slept in this morning, and I finally feel like there might be an end to this cold. I've never fallen asleep at the movies because I would hate myself for wasting money. It's crazy how expensive movie tickets can be, and if you want to watch a movie in 3D or IMAX it's even more expensive. I was hoping I would be able to find enough faeries on my own this year, but they are proving to be elusive. I'll go make offers on the trades now that Subeta seems to be working better.

Have you ever read a trilogy by Terry Brooks called Word and Void? It is one of the rare times I read a series that was not about SW. I loved them. They are called Running with the Demon, A Knight of the Word, and Angel Fire East. Another book I read was called The Iron Dragon's Daughter. That one was amazing and interesting, but a little out there, It's deff not for anyone too sensitive. Doesn't the saying go "a son is a son until he takes a wife"? Something like that. She deff needs to take two steps back and three to the right! It is really sad that you have to supervise two adults. No one even needs that info. All they need to know is that he isn't here, but hopefully he will be home soon. If they are important in his life then they will be notified as needed. Would you or your hubby get in trouble if they do something stupid? Sometimes it is too hard to stop some people! Awe hugs this time of year really is the worst for colds and stuff. The weather here is just nuts. It can not make up it's mind if it wants to freeze us or not. Cold one day and nice the next. Emily hates 3D so I can never go see those. Something about them freaks her out. For a couple of days I was tripping over them. Now I am barely seeing them. I wonder if they changed it! I willl keep making trades as I find them. Never hurts to get a little help. You still have to "release" them all by yourself :P

I starting getting books from the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, I haven't read them yet (because I'm not using my time wisely). I hadn't realized that a TV show I watched on Hulu years ago, Legend of the Seeker, is based from that book series. Yes, that is how the saying goes, I had to look it up as its been awhile since I had heard it. She does need to step back. She'll post on Facebook about how she baked things and wishes all her family could be home to enjoy it, yet refuses to package it and send it because it might not travel well, or if they watched a movie and someone couldn't be there, it will be 'wish so and so could have been here'. It honestly gets a bit annoying. It is sad, and what's worse is that they didn't take the initiative to completely understand OPSEC from the beginning. When I called out my FIL for sharing Chris's exact location, his response was 'well I read that it's ok to share their location once they get there'. facepalm I honestly don't want them to know when he's coming home because I worry that they will share it with everyone they know because they, MIL especially, will be so excited for their son to be home, yet they invited themselves to the homecoming ceremony so they can take us out to supper afterwards. Honestly, they could stay at home not knowing when he's coming home, we surprise them at their house, and they can still take us out to supper. I don't know if my husband would get in trouble specifically, but if someone publically shared their return date, the day they return home would get changed to a later date, so I guess technically it would punish us both. I agree. Winter pretty much started in October here, then it jumped back to fall-type weather, then back to winter. It also goes back and forth between rain and snow. I no longer listen to the weather, I just check my phone, look out a window and compare because most of the time the weather app isn't right. 3D movies now-a-days aren't the same as they used to be. I want stuff to seem to be jumping off the screen, instead I'm stuck watching the movie at a weird angle because if I turn my head wrong the screen is all wonky and blurry. And the 3D glasses do not work well over regular glasses. That's very true, I almost wish there was an option to release all of them from my inventory at once, but then that would make it too easy 😛 The most I've had at once that I found was 5 maybe 6. Sometimes I get them from the forums and sometimes I find them while questing, but they don't pop up too often. I'm at the halfway point on the achievement though.

I've released 501/1000 faeries and I haven't stumbled upon very many while questing today.

I thought for sure I had pinged you! The series is really good. I read them about 20 years (daaaaang time flies) ago. Sorry you have to deal with that Hun hugs. Would everyone return home later or just him? That is just awful! I seriously would not tell them anything and just deal with it later. Something like that is supposed to be a happy occassion, not a stressful one. I had to prop our door open for a little while because it gets so hot in our apartment. It is sad when you want to be outside in the middle of winter just to cool off lol. It has been raining off and on here. No real snowfall so far knock on wood. That could change at any moment. Thank you crazy Michigan weather. They always say if you don't like the weather here just wait 15 minutes and it will change. Oh I know! I hate trying to wear them with my glasses, but I can't take my glasses off. You would think the tech would be more advanced and really awesome looking. but most of the time it just sorta looks a little weird. For a couple of days I was getting one every time I posted, and now nothing. I hated releasing them. It was such a pain! Same thing with the pumpkins. I think we had to delete them? Delete/release both just a lot of freakin clicking!
