Isn't polished and tumbled the same? Or is polished cut and shined up? Too many terminologies. I know there used to be a few booths with a ton of different ones. I know they used to cost around $5 to $12. So maybe they're still around the same price? But I haven't been able to go to a show in over a year now. :/

I've never been on a plane. Never done public transport except for when you go to a historical place and you have to take the free shutter to get from parking to the actual place. Or school field trips where they rent a bus. Only train I've been on was at Cass Scenic Railroad in West Virginia.

heh i rarely even had bags i checked. i always had a carry on that i could put above my seat and a HUGE purse. :D

the last time i flew, they did check the bag....when i left san diego i think it was (only once) and i was still able to carry it on.

and no. they did put the seats closer to each other. i remember them talking about it. and me thinking, well, one more reason not to travel.

grin polished is smooth and shiny. tumbled is more rough cut that has been tumbled to smooth out the rough edges but hasn't been polished to be 'round/oval'

i was so grateful when i found that amtrak went to baltimore and i didn't have to change trains. and when i leave in the morning, since it's the 'first' stop (leaves from my station) the bathrooms are all clean and don't stink. of course. when i leave baltimore, the train started out in boston, so the bathrooms are quite fragrant by the time i get on and we get into lynchburg.

the train isn't bad really. especially if you're going someplace during the middle of the week and NOT on a holiday time. :D

Ahh, okay. I think most of the bracelets for the lower range are tumbled. Not sure if I have seen polished ones there on just stretchy bracelets. Usually they are wired bracelets. But I'll definitely look.

I keep being told that if i want to go to DC I need to just park elsewhere and take the metro in. Both mom and I would love to go museum hopping in DC.

OH MAN!! , I hope you all plan on spending at least one night there! it is SO Worth it, and there is NO WAY you can get to even half of the places in 2 days.

:( it's also expensive. but yah. i'd take the amtrak up there. it stops right there in DC (i never get off the train, even though i have a 30 minute layover) and take the subway/cabs to go where you need to go. there is so many eating places next to the different museums. ha! and the hot dog stands on the corners!! lol i know you might think they are gross, but MAN they had great dogs! :D

I remember we checked the big luggage bags when going on family trips back in the 80s and carrying on what we could. Which for me was my stuffed animal and a book, but I mainly slept, ate the food, and watched whatever movie they were showing (longer flights). I'm not even sure what the longer flights are like anymore, but I told Eric if we go overseas eventually, I want first class, especially if we take the kiddo!

We want to do just a day trip. We don't have to go to all the museums. Just a few. XD

Well...if it's still there, I wouldn't eat there. I don't like chinese food. :/

When we went up there during high school, we just went to 2 museums. Then in college, it was required for me to go as an art major but once there we could go anywhere we wanted to. So I basically just stayed at the national art museum. They had multiple gift shops and a couple of different places to eat in there plus a lot of different foods. So i was able to spend the whole time in the one museum. I think only the one time I didn't have someone with me. Most of the time at least one other person decided to tag along with me because they didn't really know anyone either. XD

DEFINITELY! and make sure you do research on traveling with a baby. the air pressure is really difficult on their ears.

heh. i remember when my HUGE purse, was filled with 'munchies and toys and things to keep my kids amused' lol

then i was finally able to tell them to 'take a book with you' but for car trips, i still had to have 'car games' and i'd have to measure the time we would be their, by how many 'rugrat shows' it took. lol

I will before hand! I was reading my baby book, my dad had filled out for me, and I had taken my first plane ride to Hawaii to visit family a few months before I turned 1, so it's doable lol. I'd also like to do the Pre-screen for TSA, it'd be easier on me and on the kid.

Road trips, we brought our music and listened to that mostly or just slept haha. That's funny that you downloaded episodes for how long the trip was lol. I'm sure I may do the same when they are older, but we'll see what happens.

grin , no no. we weren't lucky enough to download stuff (hahhaaa yu got to remember this was 25 yeaars ago!) lol but because they watched ragruts ALL THE TIME, i would tell them "it's 8 rugrats before we get there" "it's 4 rugrats before we get there" hahahaaaa

and yah. when i was little i used to sleep all the time. to the point that it's hard for me to travel now (unless i'm driving) because i want to sleep. :D

Duh me haha! I keep forgetting your kiddos are a bit older :P That makes sense then, it give them a time frame they understand when traveling. I wish I could sleep when being a passenger, but for some reason, I just can't. It's annoying, especially now! I remember when it was my turn to drive, i was already feeling little kicks, then all of the sudden I felt a stronger one and it startled me. Eric was like "what is it? What's wrong?" I told him our boy just kicked harder then normal.

LOL oh man . enjoy it now baby. by the time you get to the 8th month, you're going to be SO TIRED of it all. lol

it was so cool when they did that. (at least in the beginning) it's like "omg. i have a little tadpole growing in me!

tell me about it. I already told Levi what was in store for him if he acts out again regarding his health. I told him, I'm watching and waiting for him to slip so he can be served his karma dish. I highly doubt the higher up folks would be thrilled to learn of this man and his behavior to his employees. He's not boss material at all (at least these days), he's a man child with a spiteful agenda towards his workers and it shows. I don't even think I shared what he did about a month ago when a plant worker was acting up and found himself fired. The guy found his way in to his office when he was supposed to be escorted off the property and was begging for his job (on his knees) and this guy just gave it back to him. Completely undermining the reasons that lead up to him being terminated and the man who had the authority to do so. And get this because of the big boss man's actions the workers in the plant are now acting out against their supervisors more than ever. Which as you know may very well lead to them going on strike or something, if they feel like it.

I've never loathed so much before aside from working for someone I knew who was toying with me ages ago. That situation was bound to happen given the circumstances of our relationship but this dude takes the cake for sure.

Ah, yes, it's supposed to rain. Blah. I'm sick of it. All of it. Like I want to shove the rain cloud(s) towards states that are in need of some relief. The bugs can go elsewhere too.

I think we're just going to watch some movies (scary or otherwise) and hang out around the house since he's still healing. We did go to Kroger's earlier this morning to get some things and it took a toll which I expected since he hadn't been out because I had not let him leave with me to go anywhere since we got home.

yeah this wardrobe malfunction is definitely driving me nuts. Keeps going back and forth between the one I had and the new pirate one.

Oh man, I can imagine his frustration. All the rain we've had is causing our grass to grow ridiculously fast. Levi pulled some weeds earlier despite me telling him not to after being annoyed with him for taking the trash out in his condition... Anyway, I know why he did it. Someone in the city will likely be creeping around taking pictures and measuring weeds then sending out threatening letters to people. Which shouldn't even be a thing given all the rain we've been getting and will continue to get as well. I told him if we get another letter I'm going to do my own photo hunt of the city properties and send them one in return and see how they like it. I'm in a legit mood for someone to come at me so I can smack 'em down.

I'm doing alright, just applying for seasonal work at the moment and tending to my hubs who just had another round of sinus surgery earlier this week. How are you doing these days?

I don't mind the rain, but I agree, it gets too soggy, flooding, bugs, and humidity. It's unbearable.

Well, my parents and I might be heading to hawaii to see my grandmother very soon. She's in the hospital and is under watch for the next 32 or so hours cause she recently had a stroke. Scary stuff, not really what i wanted to go back and visit for.
