(YES! on the wig) and admittedly, on the 'buying precooked turkey' you have to be careful. last year i did it, and it turned out, IT WAS JUST A BOX OF UNCOOKED FOODS! HEH.

i did it years ago, when my kids were young, and i had my mom with us. i did it from a local grocery store, and it was all pretty decent. i just made extra sides and muchies

this year, i've heard that 'whole foods' will deliver a cooked (pretty decent) dinner, but it would be over 100usd.

and yah. you have to Actually HAVE a whole foods that will deliver. heh like you, i live out in the 'boonies' (even though it's just 20 minutes from town) and there is no whole foods around me.

wait....you're talking about the wig you have on, but the ears don't come with it, do they? truth. if the ears come on it, then I'll pass.

I'm in Virginia. I lived next to a grocery store, that did that. (don't know if they are still doing it)

was Extremely disappointed when i found out the place this year, where we are getting turkey from, did NOT include sides. the commercials "lead you to belive" that sides come with it. (really, the main reason we even ordered a turkey from them, was because they "fried" the turkey. and the man and the son wanted to try it) well. the man mainly. lol

but i'm old now (grandmother age) and not as "health" well. plus it's just me and the hubby, son, and usually the daughter (even though not this year)

i swear. next year, it's chicken from KFC. and i'll make some "sides"/stuffing/etc, but no turkey. heh. (maybe a roasted chicken from the deli)

i just don't get that excited any more. and the kids are having their own life. :)

and i don't blame you from passing, if the hub isn't going to be there. Even though, you may think about that recipe that suggested.

i remember one year, when i lived in texas, we just got thick cut turkey meat from the deli. a can of gravy and stove top stuffing, instant potatoes, can of yams, corn, and carrots some rolls and that's what we had for thanksgiving dinner. lol it was good.

most of my holidays have been just with the hub and kids.

haha, yes dear the wig i'm wearing and no the ears are not a part of it, i just love them, lmao. i'm thinking of maybe keeping this wig kinda exclusive as i love it soo muchly and i am kinda tired of the treatment you get from some other cw releasers/users

yeah, i guess it would have to be a weary thing but if our big grocery store did it i would trust but not others. xD

yea we are 25 minutes from town but nothing in town, we have to go to the city if we want anything besides food and sometimes we have to for certain food items

yah. i've been complaining about our local grocery store, for the same reason it's a chain store, but for some reason, it doesn't hold any where near what our old store (same chain) did. I know it has to do with the "people who live in the area" heh they're all "old farm" peeps. and our old store, was in a "tourist" type place (a lake, during summer, we had TONS of people) so of course, they had more "higher end" items (like CHEESE!!)

heh. even the guy at the liquor store told my hub, that "no one was buying this vodka, till you started buying it, now we can't keep it in the store"

and YES on the wig! lol especially since I'm the "Queen of Wind and Woe" LOL i need more "wind" type of clothes/hair/things.

haha yea, we have two grocery stores and between the both of them i can't get macadamia nuts, like seriously.. they make the cookies in there bakery section but don't have the nuts to sell so i can make my own, going to the city sometime this week but its gonna be a long enough day without having to do grocery shopping, haha xD

its sad we have three liquor stores here, this place is smaller then the place i'm from and it has one more liquor store then it :O

haha, yup.. i have muted all but frandz ping groups to stay away from purchasing things. i will be getting some things on bf though and i am gonna try and not slot on much. also gonna cut back on purchases, been doing 10 will only do 5 from now on xD

I can attest diana gave me her clam chowder recipe she gave you and its amazing I make it all the time!! My husband got a deer this weekenf and turns out where our camper is parked their is a bar down the road lol!! Also good to hVe your daughter learn the value of a dollar! In high school my parents rarely paid for my meals so I learned pretty quick. :) also paid my way through college. Wasn't easy!

thanks for the suggestion. I wasn't going to cook for Thanksgiving because of the minor surgery I'm having tomorrow. So I ordered some food from Whole Foods and I will get less complaints as everyone will get stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans and turkey now. Some of them maybe I can even eat. (hoping so) it won't be delivered but we can go pick it up that morning at the Whole Foods (it's about 12 miles).

Such a beautiful state with so much history. I absolutely loved living there. I used to shop in Fredericksburg..I miss it. We didnt live there long. Been in Florida now for 7 years, and am originally from Michigan.
