i'm super excited to be slowing moving forward. hoping to make more garden beds to grow more veggies next year, hopefully i can find some dirt in the spring that won't cost toooo muchly

, MY knife came today!! (earlier than i expected) JUST in time. went to grocery store. (i'm exhausted) /and of Course i forgot my yams!! AND they DID NOT HAVE MY CHEESE!!/ any way, i'll chop up my veggies tomorrow, and roast them. so they will be ready.

and HA! i did give her 100 (my daughter) good thing i didn't give her any more. i just spent over 300$ at the grocrey store!! YIKES! heh.

but i got lots of things that the man "can never find" like tahini sauce and fish sauce i won't need them for thanksgiving of course, but now i have them for other stuff later. (andouillie sausage. chriozo sausage)

PLUS i had to get some seasoning! YIKES that stuff is SO expensive! (even the cheap ones) and STILL they don't have/cant find/ REAL Whole Nutmeg!

and i got extra stuff and put in the freezer. (like cream cheese, and pastry dough) /i have a really excellent sirlon roast, that i want to make a "wellington" with/

I had a strawberry on the vine too! It was the biggest one of the year! Cut it in half and gave half to my husband, it was so sweet :O

when i would do that, i still needed to get it 3 days ahead of time, so i could brine it. if nothing else, 2 days, so that i could season it, and then put it in the oven on wednesday. (so it would cook all night)

Do you have a recipe for your turkey. Don't have one and no idea what to do. didn't wanna do a turkey but then I realized it is the best price for a group of people that large lol. I am cooking for Friday night too. Maybe i should pick it up tomorrow -losing it-

YES!! , cook it like a chicken!! (only more time, because it's larger) they also say, it's better to get 2 7lb turkeys than a huge 14lb turkey. it cooks more evenly

would your butcher "spatch cock" your turkey for you? (that's where they take out the back bone and spread it open)

OR get a whole turkey and a couple of turkey breasts. (we always used more breasts)

turth. i've used butter and i've used mayo to get the "golden brown" but basically i'll take seasonings (sage, poultry season, thyme).... butter, and spread it all Under the skin (between the skin and the meat) then spread more on the skin itself, so that when i took the alumin. foil off the turkey, it would turn golden.

I saw one recipe/show/ where they brined it (in salt water with seasoning and lemon) then, when he cooked it, he stuffed the inside of the turkey with the thyme and quarter a lemon

Last weekend I went and had a good time, there is a bar near our camper so we got to drink and hang out lol!! plus when he went and set in the blind I read a book in the camper, and cleaned it...it was hella nasty DX I just don't want to go every time. I found one turkey receipe that used a bottle of champagne!! lol

Mimosa does sound good for thanksgiving breakfast. You can eat but you can get drunk!! We have a constant supply of baileys, we like buttery nipples lol

How interesting. Well hopefully my plants last long enough to when I have kids, the older they are the more strawberries you typically get so keeping my fingers crossed :O

haha, i'm sure you'll be fine. we have wild raspberry bushes. the kids loved them this summer. i love the flavour but the texture isn't my favorite. all the little bits or whatever so weird, lol xD

I agree! We have wild raspberries at my husband's grandmas and the seeds are bleh!! lol and so sour!
