You're so right! I thought I would spend the whole day cooking and playing on subeta but a few days ago our printer stopped connecting to the PC so I spent 3 hours on the phone with HP support. The first 3 guys I talked to were rude and not very smart and I ended up hanging up on all 3 of them. Then I got a very young sounding female that was so sweet and smart and was able to fix it. I must have thanked her 8 times! :-D

Agreed. Deserts are my fave actually so I will enjoy that! We just broke one of our couch chairs all the way ug. Its been partically broken but the whole top seat just broke off DX

HA! turns out, she works on thursday. so she won't be there. she said that she had told me, (but i swear, the way the conversation went, i knew she had to work, BUT i didn't realize that it was on THANKSGIVING DAY) any way. so i don't think i'll be meeting the boyfriend, or seeing her that week any way.

her attitude really peeves me off. heh. i took the money that i'm suppose to give her to help with her bills, and i bought a SHARP knife at amazon. heh. i've practically been crying for chief's knife (SHARP) so being pissed off at her, i said. "fine" and was selfish again. lol

and you know something. if she complains or says she needs more money, i'm going to think about when i lived in my car in texas and tell her "sorry. don't have it"

That will be nice and then you can relax on thanksgiving day. We're just picking up a pre-made meal at Safeway and eating at home. I'll make a few sides as it's not a traditional meal and I need to eat certain foods on Thanksgiving! We could go to my girlfriend/almost a sister's house, but it's always a mad house so we stay home. lol

lol xd hubby is working on getting some tires and the chickens are fine, just need a heated waterer and they should be fine for the winter

, no. got 2 kids. i never see the boy, even though he lives about 20/30 min from us. heh but he's good, if i nag him about "coming over and helping with..." and if i have extra/leftovers he'll come over and grab the food i give him

my girl is about 2 hrs away. (maybe a little longer?) and she's usually good about coming up on holidays to see us, or even every couple of months but with this job, and this boyfriend it hasn't been like that.

not only that, i'm kind of 'peeved' with her. heh. usually i'm all for the girl. she's worked really hard getting through college, and doing it almost all herself. BUT at the same time, we've helped her for 5 years (food money/gas money/etc) and now, she's having trouble finding a job in her field (science)

so i've been trying to get her to come home (we have a third bedroom) to help with the finances (i'm on disability, and all i get is social security, yet i used to give her almost all of it) and to "spread her job applications out'.

any way. i've kind of "had it" with her attitude.

Whatcha cooking this weekend? We went grocery shipping today and I bought some beets and about 2 weeks ago I promised my daughter I would make her clam chowder... Lol I peel and chop up the beets and put in a foil packet with vinegar, salt and pepper and bake. Yummy! Have you ever made ketchup? OMG I have a really easy recipe and it's s so good! I tried it on scrambled eggs this morning and loved it! :-P

and I've NEVER eaten beets! hahahaaa i remember my grandmother having them on the table all the time, but for some reason i don't remember ever eating them. heh. the man brought home a huge jar of pickled beets. i think i'm going to try at least a bite or 2 with dinner. i know they're suppose to be good for you.

the hub is suppose to take me to the store monday. heh. it may take me 2 hrs to go through the grocery store, but i'm SO excited! lol (omg. i can't believe i'm actually at "that age" where i'm excited to go to the food store!)

but i plan on getting all kinds of stuff. i'm going to try to get a lot of frozen (berries) and dry goods (rice, noodles). :( i want to get some goat cheese and bri, but i'm afraid that it will go bad, before it can all be eaten.

even though i AM going to get Gruyere and Mascarpone cheese to stuff with my acorn squash. (and LEEKS! lol i hope i don't forget the leeks) but i know the boy will take some of that home with him, because he really likes it too.

to bad you can't freeze cheese. heh. i want mozzarella for caprese plus all the other cheeses! hahahahaaaaa if nothing else, i'm going to take pictures of where every thing is, so that i can SHOW the man, and send him pics and say "THIS IS WHERE THIS ITEM IS"

:( turns out that you GET NO SIDES with that turkey!! I'm SO upset. because the stupid commercials lead you to believe that you get at least 3 sides with the turkey 50 bucks for a cooked turkey? heh. no way. yah. he ordered it (they have been wanting to try a "fried turkey") but i still have to put it in the oven to warm up

I told the man, NEXT YEAR we are getting KFC! (or maybe just a roasted chicken from the deli) or both.

that's bull. if i'm going to have to make the sides any way......i'm NOT paying 50 bucks for one damn turkey. ESPECIALLY since most of it is wasted. (will send the drumsticks home with the boy in his leftovers)
