While you guys are at it ;-)
I have a question/request concerning something that was changed along with the removing the scroll hover.
In "Customize" your weapon sets on the start page it originally used to be, that we could add an infinite number of weapons, as we would scroll down the list and when coming across the ones we wanted to remove, we could do that as we passed them. Only confirming the new choice would throw an "too many weapons" error. Not only made it swapping weapons faster, if we wanted, we could also add more than 8 possible choices, look, compare and overthink the selection and then dismiss the ones we ultimately found less helpful.
Now we need to first find the ones we want to dismiss and only then search again for the ones we want to add, even though we had already passed them scrolling down to deselect the others.
I feel the first way was far more efficient, faster and practical. If there was no impossible to code reason for changing that, I would be happy to see that way of customizing chosen sets brought back.
It's not a pressing need, esp. as I don't use the customize option too often, just a tiny speed booster. I don't know, how others feel about that?
Also posting to say that the present UI is fantastic and I don't see any need to slow it down again, especially with extra clicking. I stopped BQing for a while because of how tedious the previous UI had become, with the way it is now I can knock out things much quicker and easily, I love the pre-selected weapons and scroll. Having to use custom CSS to try and sidestep an unnecessary process feels like going backwards, not forwards, and I don't mean to belittle the time and effort being put into things with what I've said.
This is so annoying! Makes me not want to adjust my weapons
So, I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but there are two things I think would be pretty cool to be implemented, provided it's actually possible, and the new new layout isn't too different.
I'd love it if scrolls were sticky. Like, if you select a different scroll from your dropdown, it remembers that selection for the rest of the fight. (I have gelaspells set before aftershocks, because usually I prefer the extra freeze chance, but in battles where freezing is disabled, I'll take the extra heals, but I have to keep selecting it every time)
Also, if it's possible - this is the tricky one I think maybe? - I'd love to see info when you hover over blessing and curses. I don't always know which icon represents which thing, except for a small handful.

Oops, I'm so sorry for the late reply. I must have deleted the ping alert by accident. What I meant by intrusive was something similar to the hover effect in the Armory/ Scroll library page; that is, when I hover on one weapon in the row below, the popup will cover one or two weapons in the row above it. It can be intrusive or slow me down if one of the weapons covered happens to be the one I want to select, for example. I'll have to move my finger away from the first weapon for the popup to disappear before I can select the second one (I'm playing on a laptop without a mouse, so :) ). It'll be fine for me if the hover effect can be turned off using CSS, though.
would it be possible to add in during these coding sessions all of tge battle stuff being in a div or sometging with an id or class specifically for the battle ui? Would make it so when i revamp whatever you guys come up with to be very android friendly it only affects the battle ui and not css mid the rest of the site.
Thanks in advance! If i can lend any php help please dont hesitate to ask!

here's my thought: i like not having to scroll to select my weapons, but i don't like having to scroll so much to see damage done. would it be possible to show damage/healing at the top of the panel? i don't really care about the flavor text, i just want to be able to tell at a glance which weapon is most efficient against a given opponent.
This is a wonderful idea and would solve my biggest annoyance with the new system. I couldn't support this more.
A checkbox beside the scroll selection (if it stays drop-down) on whether you want your selection sticky would be cool!
I have mine set up with one-use to go first so I wouldn't want those to sticky on their own, but I would love the option to be able to toggle it on in the middle of a battle if it's getting grind-y and I want to choose one constant over another in my set.

This is awesome
My only feedack would be to move the graphic that shows that the page is loading, that pops up at the very top of the screen, to just under the button that makes your turn for you. That way the screen doesn't shake all over the place when clicking.

I've got nothing but much, much love for the new UI! It makes battling way faster, and BQs don't feel like a chore anymore!
We've made a couple of big changes regarding the new UI!
Will update the first post to reflect these changes.
I actually prefer the auto-select... Can we change it back?
- it is taking me multiple clicks to successfully pick two weapons. I pick one, when I choose the second the first goes away. When I reselect the first, the second goes away. And I'm not sure if the blue arrow is or isn't working. I am using a Chrome browser on a PC running Windows 7 (64 bit). Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug of some sort?
It will also allow me to select the same weapon twice (although the battle text says it only used it once).
Also, while I appreciate the idea of returning images for weapons and scrolls, I really don't think a drop down single file list is going to work well for battlers, some of whom have hundreds equipped on a regular basis. I'm okay with my three scrolls, but I can't really tell what I have equipped for potions and shards if I have to try to remember them all.
I too like the auto select of the scrolls. Just made it easy to mindlessly tap my screen. I battle on my iPhone. Everyday.

Love the addition of the auto-select toggle button! I think it's great to give us the option to auto-select for battle quests and turn it off when fighting new challengers that isn't just mindless clicking.
The auto-select is still an option. If you turn it on once, it will remain on until you turn it off again.
Who are you battling? It might be a curse that only allows the use of one weapon.
That's very strange. The blue arrow indicates which choice will be changed if you click a weapon. Do you find the behavior is consistent with this?
[edit] Also, the scrolls and potions are no longer using dropdowns, so I'm not sure what you mean with that

- I used Mechalag for my two test battles since he takes multiple turns and allows two weapons. I do eventually get both selected, it just isn't working how I expect.
- that's what I thought I understood from the last UI iteration. Give me a second and I'll go try it again.
[edit] Okay, so I"m battling Mechalag with Tos. I click my Blessed Trident with the blue arrow pointing at box number one. The Trident goes into that box and the blue arrow points to box number two (so far so good).
Next I try to select my second weapon (in this case Shinwas Short Sword). The sword correctly goes into box two, but the trident disappears from box one. and the arrow stays pointing at box two.
Then I can click box number one to move the arrow there, select my Trident and it goes into box one and the arrow moves (does the code forget to move the arrow when a weapon is put in the second box???).
Don't know why the Trident disappears when the arrow isn't pointing at it.
[edit] Just tried starting by pointing the arrow to box number two. If I do that first and select the trident, it goes into the box and the arrow moves to box one. Now selecting my sword puts it into box one and leaves the trident alone.
I'm fixing it now, sit tight.
