I overthought it completely, CousinMewI would have done better to accuse and lol the scythe, you know

This is a wonderful group and I applaud all of you.
There is so much creativity and awesomeness here.
You go WS'ers!
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.

we loved the cards part and had it figured out in an hour and matched to voices. We then over thought the matching of the voices to locations.. you stated that they were tricky so we thought that the obvious was too easy and had to get creative... that drove us crazy for a week..
I am very sorry you have to go through such a hassle again. This chapter was beyond awsome and even if our group wouldn´t have solved the riddle, we would have been in awe. Mastermind-y. Adorable. LOVE! <3 <3 <3

Thank you for the clarification. Even after following this group, and finally joining last year, I was a little confuddled on that. But it's always nice for a reminder. :) It was a wonderful puzzle too. Wonderfully puzzling! XD And thank you for your choices! Though I admit, I still don't understand some of them..
^_^ Thank you for your cheering on of everyone ! It always brings a smile to my face.
--" I know how you felt. That was one of the points we were still debating on up until the last day. 'Is this TOO easy?' We went back and forth (or at least I did) so much.. ^^ Haha!
Thank you, I hope you're having a terrific summer. :)

I'm just enjoying the fact that the weather is hot, the sky is blue and everything is green and beautiful. Wish it lasted all year, lol.

I think the puzzle was solid, and the confusion came over how to have characters know meta things. It's hard to rp a puzzle that breaks the fourth wall. My team solved that by putting the worst of the meta offscreen, so to speak. But anyone trying to do both parts together could easily run into difficulties.
BUT HEY. If people nailed the nonogram and are complaining about this one, you know what that means? It means people had less trouble with the math this time! That or your friend designed an absolutely killer puzzle. Or something. I'm still waiting for my grid logic. <3 Those are my absolute favorite, and I'm sure it will make up for the frustration of the no!no!grams.
As always, you do a wonderful job of wrangling us squirrels. snuggles
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
As I said in my previous post, I am the designer of the puzzle, not poor Beach, who contributed vastly by finding the perfect items! She only deserves praise.
I'm never quite sure how to respond to your left-handed compliments, but that's something I've never been good at. It's not you. Your in-depth analyses are easy, since they remind me of state sponsored inservices. I just grab coffee and a donut. They're terrible for diets!! :D
But thank you, I guess?? shrugs and waves
It is a compliment, yes. I'm just very confusing. snuggles It totally is me, because I hear that from a lot of people. ^.^;

- having known well for a long time now, I can assure you that she loves and adores both you and Wayward Squirrel. Her "left-handed compliments" are really her attempt at making "right-handed compliments" since her mind is a maze of twisty little passages (in her case probably not all alike) - and I say that with much love, and with confidence that will figure out that reference. :-)
I believe that was trying to be encouraging by saying that the participants are not having problems with the math thus far.
I agree with her that the puzzle design has been fantastic, including the card puzzle.
Personally, I understand that this is a non-Subeta activity supported by Subeta which provides a roleplay forum and other things that help make a player run roleplay work. And it makes complete sense to me that the puzzle would use Subeta items, just as a HA challenge would have to use the wardrobe and Subeta clothing items (how else would it be feasible?).
I think the confusion is in roleplaying the challenge. When solving the puzzle, of course we know all about Subeta - we know about the Loyalty Shop or BHH. But when roleplaying our solution to the puzzle, is it allowed for our characters to know about Subeta? Does it even make sense for our characters to know about Subeta when they are in Singari? Is it okay for our characters to know about Dr. Who and discuss the Dr. Who reference in the roleplay as a reason for sorting the pictures? Are we supposed to solve the puzzle and then do a Singari roleplay about solving the puzzle in that world, or is it okay to talk about the Loyalty Shop and BHH within the roleplay itself? I think that is what is saying when she refers to meta things and I also think their group's solution to that problem was brilliant (kudos to Steve!)
In any case, I much appreciate all the work and effort put in by you and your helpers and judges to run, referee (sometimes too much of which is necessary) and judge this fun event. Many thanks.
Oh, I know. Shy is just Shy. I don't analyze people either, never have. I just accept them or I don't. Obviously, Shy falls in the former category.
The answer to the problem of "how would I know that?" could be as easy as reading a book, even fairy tales from a strange land, or hearing a story told, or learning it from Squirrely's. Remember, the Offtime Saloon is on an asteroid in a space nexus, and a lot of stories could go round over drinks. Squirrely's is part of the WS world.
What it boils down to is the fact that this is an entertainment, and not a novel. If it was a novel, I would really have to clean up and polish the world building, but WS is a patchwork of my ideas along with all the suggestions, requests, and yes, complaints from the players. It's a hodgepodge for you to have fun with.
In that context, purity is not going to work, but hopefully ends up imn a yummy stew. :D
thank you for all of your kind words. Just so you all know, the choices were completely random within the categories. I had no idea what GR was going to do with my choices. It was fun and I did try to keep it random so it would not be too easy for all of your Einstein brains! You are all brilliant and I knew you all needed to be challenged!
As to using subetan items, What GR said...we role play with HA contests and battle contests with subetan items. We also make our characters and then try to dress them in their roles using items from subeta.
I LOVE that GR welcomes any and all who wish to play. The MOST fair and fun RP Game in all of subeta (and the most challenging!)
I love you guys, you are all fabulous and your teams are so fun to follow ❤

Seriously, Thank you for the clarification. I love your reminder about what goes on in the Offtime Saloon. As a relative WS newcomer I hadn't really spent much time thinking about activities there. I also take note of your point that this is different than a novel. I for one am very much enjoying this particular hodgepodge and really appreciate that we get to participate rather than simply read.
Oh, and next time HeiYu visits the Offtime Saloon, she's going to take a good look around because she would love to meet a Time Lord (well, not the Master, but ... ) :-)
I'm not sure we have Timelords yet, but there are a few vagabonds with sonics wandering around. I forget if I've mentioned, but Jean was originally the Dreamer, a lady Timelord. ^.^;; That was before WS though. And thank you for explaining -- I was trying to figure out how to say that for and you did it so much better.
A hollow voice says, "Fool."

Wow, public acknowledgement! - thank you. <3 <3 >8 sideways
^_^' That explains all the confusion. We were all looking for the deeper meaning in almost every item. (Even looking at the picture of a bookmark.) I know GR tries to make it easier for us some, but apparently we will still find a way to make things harder than they are. ...We'll try not to do that for this next chapter.. ;)
