i didn't play fates, so i'm not sure if it's the same thing, but i'm going to guess that it's at least similar and just watered down for mobile

it was super limited in the video -- 4 v 4 (and you can deploy 6 units if your rank is high enough), different defense team from your arena defense team (i think), defense had a few buildings set up and you had a few buildings you could deploy. you can destroy their buildings (and presumably they can destroy your's)

it has its own stamina thing (100 points of... something), so presumably you can either do a lot of easy rated battles or a few hard ones

and... i think that's all that was mentioned in the video? idk, all i retained was 1) access to limited units and 2) i have a good reason to do an awakening themed team/mini brigade (assuming you can set a specific defense team for this mode)

Yeah, I'm super glad about the Grails feature! I just hope Aether keeps won't be the only mode giving them out. Maybe getting a few per week as arena or assault rewards could be nice! (or trading them for arena medals... I have 33k of them and I'm only doing my arena dailies generally) For people who don't care about merges, it's kind of a skill shop I guess? Distant/Close Def, Berkut's lances, Windsweep... Oh the possibilities! And for people who missed old GHB/TT units, it's a good way to finally get them without having to wait god knows long for a rerun. I really like how they handled this issue! It's been something people were asking for a long time!

I was thinking about doing a flier arena core with Caeda/Shigure/Camilla (wasn't set on this one because I don't like her but her refine seems good and we don't have lot of axe fliers in the 3-4* pool XD) but I might consider Michalis or Gerome as my green merge project now! Oh, and if Berkut ever gets Kriemhild as his refine (one can dream right?) I will probably consider him too c:

Too bad the Askr trio can't benefit from it though. I'm guessing the reason is they are weekly arena bonus units and people wouldn't need to pull from the newest banners to get bonus heroes?

Oh, and TT Azura is a kiddo! Green mage singer, it's really nice for more f2p options! And I'm excited for Atk/Def Bond seal!

It does look like we'll get a decent amount of Grails if you do okay - they're awarded for both Lift and Rank so it looks like you'll be able to get 50+ per week. I guess I have to start thinking about what I want to do with them! I've never really had a GHB/TT merge project. LA!Eliwood would probs be the one of I hadn't built Effie but I've seen some fun stuff with Michalis, too. Huh well, all feathers are currently assigned to Clair. At least I'll be able to start foddering spares without feeling bad about it.

Aether Keeps look super gimmicky but I think they'll be fun, too. Excited for tomorrow!

_< Failed to get any of the new Units from the Brave Redux -used my last free orbs and got a spare Eldigan- but I got normal Elise from it and a 4* Silvia who I didn't have and got Legendary Elika from the other banner so can't complain.

At lest those Braves will be added to the pool so I can pull them later even if I don't plan on it...

My Arena score this week is still as per usual, about 3.65k, but I just have been hitting wall after wall in AA, and the team I'm using as my lead hasn't changed, so I'm still getting around 690 for team difficulty. I dunnoif they actually changed the mechanic, or if I'm just dumb this week.

I'm kinda into the Aether Keeps, they're actually quite fun to play around with. I was a little bummed to run out of stamina with only 50 coming in tomorrow. My set-up isn't too great (at first I had my all blue team and got solo'd by a Myrrh, whoops) but I'm tinkering with it and testing against myself. It's great to see the replays and have autonomy over your settings and definitely a fresh twist on the formula.

And I pulled an Adrift F!Corrin on my first circle today. Yay? I wasn't really trying for anyone - least of all a green dragon - but she'll be a nice offensive addition to my arsenal. She's +Res -Def which is kinda... eh... but gets the trainee boost (why) so her stats are pretty great across the board regardless. Think I'm gonna take her for a spin for the TT alongside WF!Hinoka and A!Azura and mebbe Ryoma (his HM is close to the cap, though).

Yeah I gotta say I do like the softness of her art - I liked the Summer one a lot too, actually - particularly with the fluidity of her hair. I'm not gonna be aiming for her and don't think she makes any sense in the context (I don't even remember if she gets a line in the paralogue) but it's definitely one of her better representations.

Yeah Aether Keeps are fun, and I even managed a defence win, which I'm pretty pleased about. Congrats on your F!Corrin as well!

Camilla seemed an odd choice at first, but there is a really round about way she could fit in. In some unreleased DLC, there is a bonus conversation between her and Azura where they lament how awful it was to be a kid in Garon's castle growing up and how they were not allowed to speak to each other. My theory is that because we are in Azura's dream, this Camilla is supposed to be the big sister she wished to have.

Speaking of, there were 3 red orbs and 1 blue on my free summon circle so I went blue in the hope for M!Corrin for that B skill of his. It ended up being Catria, but did also pull on the red one next to it for no reason other than I was feel brave, and ended up with a Adrift Camilla for my troubles. She's -spd +def so not the greatest spread for her but I'll take that for the tempest trials.

I'm not really a fan of Corrin or Mikoto in general, so I'm hoping I can stop myself from getting bored and randomly summoning to save up now.

I actually feel a little less impressed with the B skill after realising it only prevents follow-ups from skills; I thought it was like Wary Fighter. Kinda reminds me of the Dull skills in that it's a little niche and will probs just exist to annoy us during Abyssal headaches haha. I think other defensive B skills are just a little more universal. I like that it's infantry restricted though, gives 'em some new exclusive tools to play with.

And I didn't realise that conversation existed! I read earlier that they couldn't even support in Conquest so like that there was a little background to it, perhaps. Se is big sister, after all. Congrats on picking her up! Looks like a fun unit to play around with and I'm sure she'll get many outings.

And congrats on the defence win, that's awesome! I keep fiddling with my even though I can't play any more haha. I hope we see some of its features reflected in Arena, perhaps.

- lol, I just figured Camilla cus she was the 'Mom' on the Nohrian side, cus Mikoto was the Mom on the Hoshidan side. I had one blue orb and 4 red, I didn't touch the reds. I don't need another red Camilla. I'm sure she'll pity break me at some point if she's added to the Reg, Pool, cus Camilla.

I kinda did two battles in the Aether thing and got really bored. it's basically just an arena mirror but with more annoying bells and whistles.

I did end up doing one final summon on the redux banner with my 5.25% pity rate and got Owain, Loki, AND well not Kliff, but 5* Tailtiu. Not too shabby.

i think the new arena thing is cute, but it's also barely a day old. we'll see how i feel about in a few weeks, haha

(also managing my stamina for it is annoying. i have 15 aether but i need 17 for my last fight p: that's a little dumb.)

- Shoulda broken more buildings! lol. But yeah, no, I'm over this mode already. Right after you said that, another one of my friends said basically the EXACT same thing though, like it's fun and new now, but in a few weeks I might have a different opinion.

Well I am enjoying Aether Keeps but usually I can only manage 2/3 matches before I'm out of Aether. I wonder if they'll fix that in future, similar to how they upped stamina to 100/adjusted stamina costs for some levels.

And I'm loving the replays, the AI is so weird! I've only got one defence win at the moment, but normally I can at least kill one or two opponents but they do apparently enjoy kamikaze runs (Xander on at least one occaison has ignored green Azura and gone straight for Brave Lance Cordelia... it didn't end well for him)

I mostly wanted to try it out because I kept getting killed by bold fighter Tiki and Myrrh :C It's just really disheartening to come across them and see that Tiki can just destroy everything, even green units because she can double. They are my least favourite units at the moment and they are everywhere D:

Camilla is huge fun, I gave her Iceberg for her special but I do sort of enjoy her base kit so I'm not sure if I'll radically overhaul it. She's a great red mage.

Yeah lack of Aether is a bummer. I need like... 24 to play right now which means two matches a day. But I'm really enjoying it too! I'm using um, Effie, A!Tiki, Fae and B!Ninian but those enemy phase units aren't really best suited to the mode so I'm gonna keep playing around. I've had a handful of wins but it mostly seems like luck on my part haha.

And yeah they're both terrible. Do you have any dragon effective units built up for Arena? A!Tiki has proven a pretty great addition to my team for those tricky times I need to KO those pesky dragon foes. Or an armour effective unit, I sleep on them because they're usually launch units but particularly with new stuff prfs like Shanna joining the ranks, might be a good time to invest.

And just checked with the changed calculator on this other site. Seems my Legendary Elika is a Attack Bane/ Speed Boon ( why do I allways get Att-/Spd+ or Spd-/Att+ units?) and The new Corrin is Def Bane/Speed Boon so hopefuly not bad.

- - Yeah, I agree about the aether amounts. Actually, I wish that it was a lower amount total, but replenished more often. Once a day for not the full amount is kind of a drag.

I definitely need more armour effective units, I've got Michaiah and like... Tobin. I'm actually interested more in building Florina, but her att is pretty low, so not sure if she will even manage to do anything, like Caeda. I wonder if I should give Amelia an armour smasher instead of slaying axe, give myself a green SE armour.

I think Florina would be a great build for covering armoured dragons, armours and dragons haha. I'd definitely go +Atk, which gives her 48 without a merge, but +Def is definitely viable as a superboon. I'd probs go -HP or maybe -Spd as she isn't the fastest flier in the pack and positioned as an enemy phase counter thanks to her unique refine. I think she'd make a great merge project though - her Res is high enough to run ploys and cushion incoming hits. And she works great without DC, too, as her refine only works against melee. I'd totally go for it!

Awww, why did we have to have arena's theme as the final map soundtrack? Fates has so many good tracks to choose from! XD I kinda hope it's a glitch tbh...

- I think I IV checked the 4* one I have and she is +att -HP, only problem is, I haven't summoned a Florina in a long time, and her base kit sucks, so she hasn't stuck around in my barracks. She would be fun to run multi-build too, her PRF/CD for when needing to deal with armours, and she can also run Berkut's lance/DC really effectively with the same IVs. one of my friends used to have a Florina with that build as their lead unit. They have since changed it though.

Well... now that I think about it not really :C I do have a +6 Masked Marth that I bring along to arena sometimes to deal with the green dragons (and sometimes Nowi) but yeah she just clinks off LTiki and HMyrrh. Her kit is also very basic, I haven't refined her Falcion and I think I've got a Fury/Vantage combo on there. As for armours... I have a Micaiah and when I've got Flier Emblem out I use KinsHinoka. I did start merging a Roy, but I've not levelled him up yet - definitely need to do some work in that department but I'm not sure who.

Heh, I got another Aether defence win! Granted it was because they ran out of turns but still. The AI continues to be ridiculous though, and I have more losses than wins XD There was one run I could have won, but Xander decided he wanted to fight Hardin, and then Axura thought taking on Vanguard Ike was a great idea, so that all ended badly.
