((OOC: I came in too late so I don't really have anything to add but I just wanna pop in and say that I'm so sad I missed the LOTR references 😭 😭 I've been so busy these past couple days. You could say that I feel sort of stretched...like butter scraped across too much bread 😉 ))

() "Hi Drew!" Niki said cheerfully, thankful for his smile after the Slytherin comment. "I'm glad you understand where I was coming from earlier. I don't mind being picked on in good nature; feels like home. Yeah, I did go to Ilvermorny. I was a Pukwudgie. I miss my house of healers, though I am happy to also be a Ravenclaw now." She smiled with pride and you could see a tiny bit of longing for the house she no longer had much part in. "I still try to practice my Transfiguration, since that was my favorite class there. I know they have it here too, but I haven't gotten to take the class here yet."

() As she listened to the boys talking about their parents and their experience with the muggle world she thought about bringing up how both her parents were muggles, but she decided it was too early in the friendship to share that much.

"I've a fennec fox that takes my mail too and from. So stinkin' cute. I have a normal dog at home named Bratwurst. He's a weiner dog."

"I'm really happy everyone enjoyed the workshop." Millie said while nibbling on one of the cheese rolls. "It was a lot of work but it was worth it."

Millie saw someone who entered late (). Hi, you must be Niki. I'm Millie, that's Emmett over there picking at the bread. It's nice to meet you."

"It would be amazing to have a snake as a pet!" Drew declared. "And I'd love for you to meet all my family...even the human ones," he grinned. "And I wouldn't mind meeting Kippers so long as she's sweet. My cousin Flora has a cat that I swear is part demon...at least when I'm around. But yes, all animals can be sweet and adorable and then so annoying the next minute."

Drew listened to Niki talk about her old house and he could hear the homesickness in her voice. "It's different here, but nice," he said. "I never actually went to Ilvermorny but we did move here from the States about two years ago. It was a big change at first. I haven't really had a chance to get into the classes yet, but I do know that I lean toward Magical Creatures being my favorite. My Mum loves Transfiguration and Charms...maybe it's a part of being a Ravenclaw," he said with a smile at Niki. After hearing about her pets, Drew said, "Foxes are awesome! And cool that you have a dog too. I love my Dodger...who is probably waiting for me to bring him a treat from the workshop."

"We'll 'ave to work out something so we can both meet each other's families. Kippers is dead sweet. Mind you, watch your food cos she'll nick it."

Grinning, Drew said, "I'll keep that in mind. Dodger will too if he thinks you're not looking and then when you do keep an eye on him he gives you pitiful looks like he's never had food in his life until you cave and share with him."

Magnus laughed. "That's kinda sweet. Kippers isn't so subtle, she just jumped onto the table took me kippers and ran off to eat 'em on the first day I got 'er...hence 'er name."

Drew laughed. "I wondered about her name. Thought maybe it was just her favorite food. What color is she? And is she any certain breed?" he asked.

"She's orange me favourite colour. She's a Persian with long soft fur. It was me birthday when I got me 'Ogwarts acceptance letter. I'd just finished opening me presents and suddenly we were at the Magical Menagerie and mum and dad were buying me 'er. She didn't seem all that worried when I first turned into a werewolf, just snuggled into me furn and went to sleep."

"Aww, that's sounds so sweet," Drew smiled. "It's nice to have a fur friend that loves you no matter what. I think orange is my favorite cat color other than black and white. My cousin's cat is orange too and it's a pretty cat, just has something against me." Drew shrugged. "She loves Flora and Bridget. Maybe it's cause I usually smell like dog and horse instead of cat."

"Yeah I love 'er. She comes on me lap when I'm doing 'omework too. Cats are weird, they don't always make sense but maybe she;ll warm up to you? Feed 'er some treats."

Drew nodded. "I'll try that next time I visit...if she will get close to me without all the hissing and spitting and running the other way." He smiled and said, "I'll bet it's nice to have her curled up on your lap. Dodger's a bit too big for that," he chuckled.

"Food normally wins out. Fresh cooked chicken and she'll love you. ow big is Dodger?"

"Can't say I'd blame her. I like chicken too," Drew smiled. "Dodger's about level with my knee. He loves either nudging me in the knee with his head or sniffing or licking me behind the knee and startling me," he laughed.

"Me too, chicken is yummy. He sounds big. Do 'e sleep on your bed with you?"

"He's pretty big and yep, he sleeps with me when he gets a chance," Drew smiled. "Mum wasn't too keen on the idea at first and he had a fluffy bed next to mine...for about a week. Then he chewed a hole in one corner and we came home to fluff all over my room. So we tried just a rug next. that worked better but after he heard Mum and Dad go to bed at night, he would jump up on the foot of my bed and sleep. Mum finally gave it up." Drew grinned. "Of course he sleeps on my bed here now."

Magnus belly laughed. "That's awesome. Persistent, ain't 'e?

Drew grinned. "That's one word for him," he said, but his voice told how much he loved the dog.
