[-the-Meddler] Oh lawd. I hate when places are packed, especially after I've been out all day and just need like three things at the grocery store but everyone and their mother is there >_<

THATS MY THING TOO. Are you really calling all these people? Are you? Could I write down the number of a Pizza Hut?? An application he filled out last night asked for his marital status. o_o

That sounds like fun! Except I can't swim.XDD But anything to help a health issue.

Yes it was like that and I was so frustrated, because I needed to go to two pharmacies and I'll still have to go back to the CVS since they needed to order the one medicine pack I need. I hope they get it next week. I go past there daily when I drive my daughter to school. Then I won't be making a special trip for medicine.

Like I love how they think you remember the phone number of every place you ever worked. And why is it their business what his marital status is? That's so nosy!

I can swim and I love to swim. I just don't have a public pool here; the only pool is at the Y, otherwise it's $3 to park at the lake per day and the lake creeps me out. Copperheads, snapping turtles, industrial waste....

[-the-Meddler] Ugh... The one benefit of a lot of CVS pharmacies is at least they're open 24/7, so that's nice. Except when it comes to getting medicine ordered. 😓

Right?? I have to look up majority of the numbers! Some are completely closed, or the people stopped working there... SO yeah... That's cool. :| ISN'T IT? ITS FREAKING WEIRD.

I do NOT blame you for being bugged out by the lake :c That's nasty...

Mine is only open until 9 but still, I drive right past it 4 times a day when I have her. And I knew they'd have to order this. I think the only place they keep it on hand is in hospitals. So I'm guessing next week I can start taking it.

See that's always bothered me about applications. You do all that work, look up numbers, etc. and you don't even know if they bother to call them. It's crazy! What possible difference does his marital status make upon his ability to do the job? That's just nosiness pure and simple. That or else they're possibly going to judge him on religious grounds maybe? Like maybe they only hire married men, which is prejudice.

It is nasty. I once tore a toenail clean off at that lake and there was a fire a few years ago, it was on all the major news channels, a fertilizer factory burned and it was right on the shoreline. I can only imagine what went into the water. I won't swim in it anymore!

[-the-Meddler] I guess they'll have to start stocking it.

Exactly. I spend an hour or so doing this, double checking, for something that may get looked at for 5 minutes. Y u do dis. If it's prejudice, then they're gonna have a lawsuit :D He's Puerto Rican, he's dealt with racism and prejudice before and isn't afraid to sue because of it.

... Ew. Just ew. And WTF. How was the EPA not all over that? Unless they were?! (・ヘ・? )

It's a starter medicine that has to titrate up, and I won't need to use it more than once. The only reason I have to use it now is because my insurance lapsed for a month and now I need to start all over at square one.

Good for him! I hope he does stand up for his rights. They have no reason to ask if he's married.

I know right, it's gross. The EPA said it was safe! I don't believe that shit for a minute.

[-the-Meddler] Oh damn D: At least you only need it once!

He certainly will. The singular reason I could see it being is a tax write-off thing for the company, but I dunno how big/well-known the place is so...

... Go home EPA, ur drunk.

Once and it takes weeks to finish it. Weeks at low, unhelpful doses. Like I'll be starting at 25mgs for I think 2 weeks and my effective dose is 300mgs but it's one of those medicines that can have lethal side effects if you try to hurry it up. So I was pretty pissed when my insurance lapsed. I can't pay thousands of dollars for a couple of bottles so I went off it cold turkey, which you're not supposed to do either. I was a real mess and I really miss this medicine so I'm in a hurry to get back on it.

Good, and I wonder how that would work? What's the thing about being married that would make it a write off? Geez it all sounds so dumb.

IKR? My daughter went swimming in there and had been scratching her mosquito bites and they got infected. I was like "hello, the lake is gross, don't take her there anymore!" but nobody listens to me.

[-the-Meddler] 😞 Jeez that's so much work but at least it helps. I'm sorry things happened like that, that's awful. D: Hopefully things will all-around get better.

Good question. I don't know that much in-depth stuff about how the tax write-offs/returns work for companies (like if they hire a Vet or someone on disability or getting food stamps, they can get a tax write-off or some such nonsense). Its just "hire X-person, get Y-benefit for it".

That is horrible! And nasty. x_x No kids need to deal with an infection, much less their already-itchy bites being infected on top of it.

Yea I won't feel relief for another month at least. D: But this medicine does work for me so it's worth the hassle.

I don't know anything about that stuff either. I'm sure there's a whole list of things they get write offs for though.

It was so sad, my poor kid, medicine and everything. You'd think my ex might give a shit but nope, they still went swimming there!

[-the-Meddler] It's always worth the hassle to get what works for you! Even though we all hate the hassle 😒

There probably are lol.

And kids hate taking medicine because it tastes awful 😞 That's awful. It reminds me of this small river here that's probably fed off the bigger river in the state, but anyway, that river is a hot mess. Someone (yes someone, not something o_o ) pooped on the rocks on the other side. I definitely avoid the place, especially since I slipped and slammed my shin down on a rock that was sitting vertically under the water. Luckily it didn't break the skin, wouldn't want to deal with anything that cropped up from the water!

I just wish it wasn't a scary hassle. There is this rash you can develop and if you develop it you can never take the medicine again. I would hate for that to happen, because this medicine works so well for me and there is no other medicine like it, so if I couldn't take it I'd be playing Med Roulette™ again.

She only just started finally being able to swallow pills, thankfully. OH LORD. I would have died if I saw a human turd where I was swimming! And underwater things are the worst. That's how I tore off my toenail in the lake - a submerged limb, down in the sand and I walked right into it. The water is so gross you cannot see what's going on down there which is why I worry about snakes and snappers.

[-the-Meddler] D: Oh dear. Med Roulette™ sounds about as fun as regular roulette.

😞 Well that's a start. Yep, it was baking in the sun. No one who was already there seemed to care... I was disturbed and thankful to leave :| Ewwwwwww D: How can anyone swim there? The risk is alarming as it is, why put yourself at further risk?

It is. I love it so much trying different things and weighing side effects against aid. //sarcasm

That's why I like the one I am getting; I don't get a lot of crazy, heavy side effects.

Baking...in the sun...whut. I would have been so ready to leave and never wanna go there again. Uh uh. Especially because the rocks can break your skin easily and the germs OH MY GOD. I mean, for all you know poo is a normal occurrence there. So nasty! I don't know why people still go to my lake other than "that's what we've always done". Yea, thinking is apparently not something you've always done. :/
