So artists will post about a CW they have in the works, show the overlay on an avatar, the cover item (like a cupcake with a piece of lace around it for like a belt), and have slots listed for pre-order with the CSC price listed, so to speak. The artist takes down buyer names, puts the item in the CW queue to be approved/denied by staff, and if the item is denied, they have to fix and resubmit. If it gets approved, then the artist gets however many copies they need. The buyers pay up, artist delivers the items, and everyone is happy. They can also release direct to their CW stores, which you can follow and navigate to from the Cash Shop menu. Direct to CS is I think more costly than slotting, since slotting usually covers however much is spent to submit. It looks complicated from the outside, but I think that's the gist of it?

I know, ugh. A lot of them are very underwhelming. The CW ones that are already out aren't technically available (not easily accessible); they look good, but not specific ones I want personally. The Pawn Shop has a CW shop, where people can resell their CWs for X-amount of CSC and other users can purchase from there for X-amount of CSC. For example, I have ; I bought it from the Pawn for 600CSC and could sell it back for 300CSC. The issue with it is that it can lower the price of a CW, especially if it's in there for a certain amount of time and the artists don't get paid for their work from it. It's closing February 1st [news post] and will be replaced in the future. I'm pretty neutral on the subject; if I can slot, I will slot. If I can buy direct from the user, I'll buy from them. /shrug

I think I understand what you're saying. And I checked that page of the Pawn Shop, and I've never bought anything there but I can see how it would drive the price of the items down. I can see why the artists would have issues. I'm not in the market for these things just yet, I need more of a basic wardrobe and more skills with using what I have before I buy beautiful things like that wig (THAT IS GORGEOUS!).

I like that we get to test things as gold account users, too. Like I can totally see the point in having a gold account. There are many perks to it that are appealing. You don't have that at other places. Like at Rec you can "subscribe" but it's nothing like a gold account. I wind up selling back numerous items every month so it's more like a "paying to be too lazy to hit the bit cap" sort of thing for me. >~<

It's confusing unless you like look at a CW shop thread to see what's going on. It's nice but it's also shitty at the same time; hopefully the new system will be better. The CW Shops in the Cash Shop really do need a makeover, they're rather frustrating right now. :/ I definitely didn't buy any CWs for like yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaars after they started the system in like.... Erm... 2012? Something like that :,D Bought my first one last year and have been buying them here and there, as I have sP for CSC. Yeah, I know. The Autopricer and increased quests are definitely things I enjoy, the testing is a sweet bonus too. I don't recall the rest of the perks off the top of my head but I'm definitely looking forward to May when I can get my Loyalty Box and get another GA totem. Subeta's pretty unique in that respect of users with GAs aren't elevated above others by much, but you still have an incentive to support the site.

Yes I find it a bit difficult to understand all the ins and outs of the CW shops in the cash shop. I am sure I will get around to buying some though sooner rather than later. I cannot resist pretty things and since it's easy enough to pick up the trunk items (I grabbed a pile already) I'll soon need to move onto more and more STUFF. At least I know Subeta isn't going to just close one day. The site wears are pretty nice, though, really. They blend well with the more expensive stuff, like I said before. It's a very coherent look, even though there are so many styles going on here.

Every year, Subeta celebrates your "anniversary" of joining the site at like.. the 2 year mark?? So you get a Loyalty Box, which is "soul-bound" to your account and you have different totems inside that are also soul-bound. You can only pick one, but the ones offered are really pretty nice. List of all the totems and what they do is here. I used one to change my username and need CSC for some name changes for my pets, since I'm sort of getting into the pet profile thing. :| Plus a Genderless Berry for one, maybe two of them.

I know that feeling. I have to decide on whether I want to pay for almond milk or just not drink milk or do without something else. I'd love to be able to donate more to sites! My roomie really is trying to find a job though, and they do help me a ton so I cannot be be resentful. I just wish it wasn't so damn awful and I didn't have to suddenly pay $40 a month for a medicine that USED TO be covered...ahem...yea. -_-

The cash shop wears in general seem awfully nice to me, I don't think I have many CWs on my WL yet (it's still unsorted, I need to fix that). I loved your split-color bunny last week, she was so darn cute! I'm not sure which way I am going in terms of colors/styles here just yet, I still need time to look around! Sadly, I think I am going to fall into the same colors/styles I do at Gaia, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. I always like my Gaia creations, although not always so much the ones I match as much as sometimes I have ones in my closet that I never get to wear but just love.

Living is so expensive unless you're not poor; all sorts of breaks for paying say a full year's insurance. The poor get penalized for being poor. It's horrible.

Oh my god, I'm the same way :o I'll find random bits and bobs in my wardrobe that I totally forgot I had then abuse it for a while. Like the compact I have right now, [item=Giselle D.E.V.I.L.L.E Eye Makeup], COMPLETELY. FORGOT. ABOUT IT. Also forgot I had in two other colors with the matching chokers. And things like in all three colors 😭 Some of my favorite items right there, and I forget them constantly.

Oh ouch! Take care of those ulcers, that sounds so painful. I have stomach problems from chronic NSAID use, involving acid reflux and my whole stomach burning. If I want to take any these days I have to take an acid blocker with it. My chronic pain issues like to work against each other, man what a pain! It's impossible to stay healthy. Take food stamps. They keep them so strictly limited that people have no choice but to eat what is cheap, and what is cheap is not healthy. I know a woman who recently died from what I would bet money was complications from her diabetes because she couldn't eat well on food stamps. The system is literally killing people.

I have collected a bit of CSC from visiting the bathhouse. I was up to 40+ days in a row then I missed one somehow and keep messing up. Just got 10 CSC today though! I don't know what you mean by redeeming the wig? I am such a noob at this stuff lol. I love the wig you have on, it's a great color and a cute style. I have trouble looking at items and knowing what they actually are sometimes here too. I will get used to them by trial and error I reckon. OMG I so bought that compact, such nice eyes! It's things like the sugarbowl in in my inventory that confuse me these days but I will soldier on, captain!

There's a Bathhouse Reminders ping group that'll send out an event at midnight to remind you! I use it to stay in the habit of collecting the prizes lol! So redeeming a wig means it'll delete the item from your inventory/wardrobe but you can use the style in the hair salon to change the colors. For example, most Delish wigs are redeemable, and Hair Coupons are definitely redeemable like . Lot of Cash Shop wigs can be redeemed and some achievement prize wigs are too like . They're usually say "Redeemable Wig" for their Rarity too :)

I love this wig too, I was so excited when Subeta brought the Delish Naive set back around New Years! 😭 Aren't they? I really love them. Yeah, that's one of the little issues with Subeta, you have to hover over items to see if they're wearables or not, because it's frequently not obvious on first look lol! Like . Obviously, it's a food on first looking at it. On closer inspection, it's also a bloody adorable skirt!!!!! 😤😓 Be on the lookout for that when Survival starts this year on/around Valentine's Day. 😭😭😭 That's one of the prime times you'll see wearable-food.

At least you know how to avoid flareups. I am stuck with the whole stomach issue because I need to take anti-inflammatory meds for other issues. So the way I get around it is the acid blocker. Without it I would be in serious stomach pain and I am sure you know exactly how that is, you just cannot make it stop.

Oooo how do I get involved with that ping group? I need to remember the bathhouse! Of course I need more rare stuff. I didn't even know we had a hair salon! So that's how those hair coupons work. I was so curious because I added some to my wishlist because on the hover the wig looked cute but I wouldn't have known what to do with one.

I take it Survival will be the next holiday? New Years was fun but I was lazy. I could have so many more coins if I'd been on it. I was not up to doing all the quests until the 10th. I did them all on some days? But the rest I was kind of depressed and didn't do quests at all. I think that's when I messed up with the bathhouse too. ;o;

I like that the prizes for holidays are definitely wearable and not something junky you just throw out (like at Gaia).

Bathhouse ping and this one is jus useful in general for the Token Shop: Token Shop restock ping. Yeah, it's in the Wardrobe under the Hair tab! You can see all the "basic" hairs there, and any wigs or hairstyle you have redeemed :) So convenient! And the hex code system is back for color picking ✨ You can add them to your wardrobe as is, or redeem so that's awesome. Gives more options instead of "here's a pretty wig in one color, that you can never change and won't get any recolors of." XD

Yep! Its zombies and Valentine's Day together :,D You collect Candy Hearts by kissing users, unlock Zombie skins in the wardrobe by becoming infected and watching the strain progress, and you can use the Zombie skin to use parts of the Shadowglen Underground which is the mostly zombies-only area of the site. That's where the Zombie Den is, the opposite of the L'Amour Parlor. I get that feeling orz No one can blame you either!

Right! Its the perfect mix of useful stuff, and non-"useable" items. 😂 Gaia's just like "HERE'S A STUPID ITEM THAT DOES NOTHING. UR WELCOME." Gee thanks, what I always wanted... You can pick and choose what you want instead of just being handed stuff you may not want. When there are plots, sure, you get X number of participation prizes that'll be a mix of items, but you also get points to spend in the plot-related prize shop, which is so great.

Gaia is ridiculously exclusive. The difference between cash shop and common is vast and the event items are as you said. Thanks for the junk I can throw in the dumpster. It's not even worth selling, with the economy the way it is. I love the prize shop system. It's so much better than just being handed a set item that everyone is going to get. You can get what appeals to you or what you need to feed your pets or whatever your goal is, you can try to meet it.

They really are. It's extremely useful to have both because there's always at least one person on to ping the Token Shop group. Yes! There's quite a lot in the wardrobe but I find it worthwhile; you can save outfits, change up hair, skin, base features. x_x To redeem them, you have to click on them in the Inventory, so you open the menu like you would any other item. Scroll to the middle section and it'll say "Redeem Wig" and "Add to Wardrobe." Click redeem, it'll have you confirm and the next page will say something along the lines "X has been added to the Salon! Enjoy" and that's all you have to do :D Super simple IMO.

It's on or around February 14th; I'm not 100% sure when it'll start since Valentine's Day is on a Wednesday this year, but it's been either on the 14th or the 15th for the last couple of years. It might start Wednesday, they may push it back to Thursday or even Friday. We'll have to see but I did put together the last few years, starting at 2013 as the most "relevant" even if I could go back to 2012 :P

We also have a Holiday Schedule with pretty rough estimates of time 😂 but it is petty handy! Heads up, the Token Shop tends to restock prior to Survival with related-goodies.

IT REALLY. FREAKIN. IS. And it always pissed me off, tbh... You'll get roughly the same items as everyone else in the initial participation prize pool, but then the shop allows for more prizes so that's fun! Also, if you weren't around for the Faded Memories plot or the Bad Omen plot, I have a good amount of points left over for wears and stuff from both if you want stuff from those shops.

I was able to weather that and I still do pretty well because I am an experienced vendor and make a lot of GG that way. Still though, the place is totally slanted toward cash shop buyers and I have no idea how a noobie would get by there really. Of course the way the cash shop keeps cranking out items makes the worth drop within a couple of yours so you can pick up what used to be a costly item for what I'd consider chump change now. Still, I don't see how anybody gets by without shrewd vending.

Faded Memories was in 2015, and was how we discovered Shengui Guo on the map. Bad Omen was last year just prior to Morostide, and how Merana is now escaped somewhere in Subeta lol. One involved angry spirits who were forgotten, the other involved setting a scorned seawtich free O_O;; Kind of like a Hungry Ghost event, or the Bōn festival, remembering and honoring the dead who can become vengeful if forgotten or not honored at all. Bad Omen was trying to please Merana by offering gold trinkets, by tomb raiding. Bad idea overall lol, apparently no one learned from all the trouble Indiana Jones gets into.XD You're welcome! Hmmm now that interests me. What's the Pumpkin Deleter achievement and what's the Pumpkin Murderer forum title? Is that how you got the "needs more chocolate" title, from an event? I still have a lot to learn, I see. I haven't got it in me to mess with CSS code but that sounds so handy! I'd never be able to use it without a detailed step-by-step walkthrough.

I don't know what people do there, I stay to myself man. I go there to get more items and buy and sell items. And to match Narshe on human and paws accounts, although we don't get the paws drawn so we haven't saved them to Weebly. We've had some cute ones though! That's literally all I do there. I can't imagine using it for social purposes, the people there can be real asses. :/

[-the-Meddler] The Pumpkin Deleter achievements requires you to delete 1,000 Pumpkins (any of these: Fresh Pumpkin, Freshly Picked Pumpkin, Carving Pumpkin, Pumpkin on the Vine, Uncarved Pumpkin, Ready-to-Carve Pumpkin, and Carvable Pumpkin) by hand for the Forum title "Pumpkin Murderer." Yes! I'm just gonna scribble it out because I'm terrible at explaining. You should have at least some, for like having one pet or other little things. Most come from Achievements or games. Luckily, the CSS is already written and easy to set up.
