LOL it's my new book by Nalini Singh "Silver Silence" but really....you need to read the books before this one, to appreciate the "story line" even though you CAN read them out of order. it's just characters from previous books make appearances in other books. and it makes it all more "cohesive"

i've been really mean to myself, and every few chapters i've stopped reading and gone and done something else...because i DEVOUR books. seriously DEVOUR is the only word that works. i read them WAY to fast, and i'm trying to make this one last. especially since it's another month, before i book i want to read is out. heh.

I know the humans calculate years according to the rotation of the heavenly bodies, cats and dogs calculate years based on the comparison of their life expectancy in relationship to their human owners. Since weasels and other woodland kind are free creature and not beholden to the humans for my sense of belonging or existence, I think a year is based on the length of time it takes for one generation to produce another, typically 360 passings of the sun.

My mother had 24 pups, twenty three pregnancies. My twin brother and I were her last litter. (She is still alive though she is quite old for our kind. And yet, she looks remarkably young for her advanced age...) I only hope and pray that I can bring as many souls into existence as she did. Welly and I need to get more busy!
