The land Andrew and I are looking is currently empty, but manufactured homes are pretty comparable price-wise to a pre-built house out here, so we are hoping that in a few years we will be able to get a house exactly how we want it. It not, well...we will have some property we can sell then xD

Oh my goodness Happy Birthday Hope it is a great one.

It snowed again today. Sounds like most of us had a restful and uneventful New Years Eve. I went to bed before 10. The New Year shop has such pretties. I need to quest anyway for quest points. Need those seasonal items. Yep.

Woke at 4 this morning. Not really complaining. Had adequate sleep and I don't have to work so that's a major plus in my book. By 4:30 I had coffee, opened my window in my upstairs "living room" (it's pretty warm up here, especially w/ the computer and/or tv running) and listened to a pair of horned owls talk to each other for about half an hour while starting quests. They stopped for awhile and then started up again, for about 15min before the official dawn hours. They're always so enchanting and haunting to listen to, especially on a morning so foggy. It was so quiet then, w/ barely a car on the road. I love that type of serenity; hearing the call of the wild and nothing else. I'm sure you hear that a lot. I suppose that's why it sounds haunting - as though there's no one else but you. As much as I hate people s/times, I feel too much for them to want to stay away from them.

In a very reflective mood this morning and I ddon't want to go on and on about stuff. Hope you're doing as well as can be expected, bb. <3 Sending love. 🌹

Not a lot on my agenda for the day, other than having a little talk w/ the co-inhabitors about cleaning up after themselves after having the entire weekend off and not doing a GD thing but make a mess. -_- Seems like they're off today as well so I'll give a few more hours before I voice my concerns. (for the record, I had the kitchen nearly spotless on Tuesday as I made my turkey, veggies, stuffing and gravy. There were only a few dishes dirty when I was done so I'm a bit irked about the state the kitchen is in right now since I've worked since Weds.)

Errand day. Mom is treating me to lunch at one of her favorite restaurants though. Been a long while since we've been there.

What a lovely way to start a day! I love owls and listening to them. We have a couple different kinds I hear chatting throughout the year. Our neighbors put up a box for them and it has a pair of barred owls that live in it. One time I spent an hour just watching them perch in a tree in our yard in the summer. It was almost like they were watching the sun set.

Good Morning Everyone :D I want to thank everyone for their birthday wishes, and my gifties! I had a wonderful birthday! We're here visiting until Wednesday, then we'll head home sometime that morning/early afternoon. We want to leave early enough to pick up our kitty from being boarded (we were gone too long for mom to be comfortable leaving him alone, since it's just him). I'll pick up babysitting on Thursday, and classes next week. I should be around much more now that things have settled down for the most part.

- Oh definitely let the know they need to clean up after themselves, there's really no excuse at their age, honestly. I wish I could wake up and listen to the owls! Right now we're living waay too much in the civilization to have any kind of wildlife (though a ten minutes drive will get you there). When we move, we're hoping to move those 10-15 minutes out so we can get a little more secluded, to see/hear the birds again!

Ok, so I just went downstairs and "they're" awake and already started on the kitchen. WOOT! That's another reason why I wanted to wait b/c first of all, I don't do shit the day after drinking (which they had an excess of on Saturday night) and secondly, they're both off and my brother already knows I'm not on that shit.

Sometimes... SOME times, it pays to wait. ;)

Watching them would be every bit as comforting as listening to them. I don't think I've EVER gotten to watch any owl do anything. Always heard them, though.

I don't think you have to live outside the city to hear them. While I'm not in a major city, I'm not secluded and live next to a very busy road. (which is why I mention it - it's quite loud in the living room when you're trying to watch tv in the spring w/ the windows open... but I've also got an old surround sound system that still works quite well) I even heard them when I lived in a much more populated town/city/idk. Before I moved to where I am now. Not often, but it was quite mesmerizing to hear in a neighborhood w/ so little trees and grass. Don't remember if they were horned or what type they were but the horned owls seem more common. Not looking forward to you being all busy again. 😞

- I would consider what we live in basically the equivalent to a suburb of DC, but to Raleigh. We're HUGE population wise, and they're just not much green space left with all the development going on, so there's just no place for wildlife/birds to be in the first place. We're in a townhouse development currently, so there's basically no trees whatsoever. We also live directly off of a HUGE freeway, which can get rather loud (one of those with four-five lanes on both sides). The kids I babysit though, are in a neighborhood that backs up to trees, and you can often see deer and birds in their back yard, which is nice. I don't plan on getting super busy again for quite a while. I'm only doing part-time classes right now, so I'll have more time in general, until camp starts up, which I am practically non-existent then, but that's 'cause I'm just so tired, but I do usually pop on during the weekends then.

well the day hasn't started out to well for us. we have direct tv and the hard drive went out of the system. they are mailing us a replacement but it won't be here until Tuesday or Wednesday they said. soooooooooo, no tv for hubby before he goes to work and that makes him an unhappy camper. and yes me too because I will have to miss scorpion tonight. sigh. and if it doesn't get here tomorrow, I will miss NCIS, Bull, NCIS new orleans, chicago fire and chicago pd. and that will really upset me!

A long time ago when I was actually exercising and walking nearly daily I had a great horned owl fly at my head! Long before phone cameras (which I don't actually even have yet). The 2nd half of my walk was on a walking path through woods in the neighborhood across the street. It was super early in the morning and no one else was around and I heard rustling on the ground. I stopped and tried to find what I heard and next thing I know this huge owl is flying at me! He swooped up at me and into a tree behind me. I stood and watched him for a long time hoping someone else would come along but no one ever did. He outlasted me because I finally made myself leave. I guess I interrupted his morning hunting. It was a really cool moment and a happy memory. He was a magnificent bird.

Hope you get your delivery tomorrow! No fun to be without tv completely.

hiii bb <3 ..lol yes i certainly did have one for you ;) .. i love hearing the owls too, so peaceful like they haven't a care in the world, just out there discussing their day :) ..i get a lot of noises and sounds out here, i think the weirdest being the foxes we have around here, both red and gray, now there is a sound to put the fear of god in you lol ..esp. when it's the mating call/scream right out by your window ..oh geez you wouldn't believe lol i also love hearing the hawks screaming here in the day while they're out searching for something to munch on and usually all the screeching involves smaller birds and the crows chasing them off, or trying to anyway lol ...glad they got up and started cleaning so you didn't have to jump in their shit ;) though something tells me you'll be doing that sooner or later anyway lol ..i sometimes think, no, i can change that to most times i can truly be totally by myself here and not crave any other human interaction at all, does that make me a recluse or just a bat-shit crazy old lady lol :P ..if i had some wheels i'd not care if anyone ever came around or not, and when i wanted to go out somewhere i would ;) ..you're feeling very reflective and maybe a bit gushy at times cause cap is in your house and being the water sign you are it's causing some feelings to surface that are usually held down to a certain extent anyway, your empathy feelings should be out there too doing double time..but it's all good, you know that down deep ;) *catching that love and sending some right back in your direction <3 love ya <3

That morning with the owls in the quiet morning sounds so enchanting! I want some more trees around the house to encourage the birds to come. That would be awesome to wake up to. So glad to hear they are cleaning up the kitchen! :D

I get to go back to work tomorrow :( I enjoy my vacations too much...but the paycheck is so nice x) Anyway, we got all of our decorations put away! Slept for about 2 hours and then woke up not feeling too well so here I am. Figured I'd quest until I felt like I could go back to sleep. Did a lot yesterday around the house. Cleaned out and neatened up the pantry, outside freezer, and inside freezer/fridge and did a lot of laundry including sheets and towels. Monday afternoon before the rain we got all the outside decorations into the garage so they could dry off. We'll get the decorations inside down this weekend after the 6th.
